HOW TO EDIT

How To Edit

1. Go to the provided link in the topic. It'll take you to the main Google Drive page. If you can't find it, here: https://goo.gl/fcUITy

2. Scroll down until you see the FMW3 Patch Progress spreadsheet. Open it up, and find something to work on.
2a. We're using Google Drive this time, so theoretically multiple people can work on the same chapter at once. Use the irc to make sure people are aware you're helping them out, though.

3. Once you've selected your document, find it in the google drive and open it. You should see a preview with a menu bar at the top. If you don't, and a google doc pops up, somebody messed up.

4. Select Open With, and choose Drive Notepad.
4a. If your computer can't handle Google Drive, you can also just download the .txt and edit it with your own Notepad program. PLEASE use basic text editors for this, more robust word processors might introduce formatting issues.

6. Start copy/pasting!

7. When you're done for the day or just done entirely, save your work by clicking the little rectangle floating around and selecting the Save button. To be honest I think this step is obvious, but I have been surprised before.
