Arahitogami (Character Race Blog)
This is for my roleplays. I'll be linking it to any character profile that asks for my characters Race while Im playing an Arahitogami. Please me mindful, this is something I created. If you are using it, please credit me and do not alter anything written in it.



Arahitogami

History

Arahitogami are considered the first mortal race. They have been around since before
recorded history of any kind. While they are believed to live on several different worlds
this history is specifically geared towards Earth inhabitants in a fantasy type of roleplay (however,
this can be altered for any roleplay if necessary. Arahitogami travel among the worlds because of
Arc technology that will be worked on at a later date.)

They once were a proud race that lived on the surface. As other races came along, they carefully
shared technology and helped them. Giving them advanced technology and unique stone architecture.
After time, they started to have a rivalry with the Elven races. The Elves began to think
themselves a superior race, and started wars. Both sides started to lose lives at a quick
rate, and the Arahitogami decided to vanish. Most of them moved underground, while the rest
started to blend into society.
Because of this war, Elves eventually stopped with technological advancements, and pushed them
closer to the peaceful and nature loving creatures they usually are these days.

After time, the Arahitogami became legend, sometimes confused
with other races or species due to their unique characteristics.

At current, the general population lives underground and in secret. They are forbidden to
share knowledge of themselves to the outside world, and are not allowed to hold positions
of power on the surface world. If they do, the Arahitogami government will send a specialized
group up to kill the violators, if they keep crossing the line.

Sometimes, a powerful person will come to power and build up an empire. When they are found
out to be Arahitogami, the specialized assassins of the Arahitogami government will be sent
to try to kill them. They often will burn down the empire and try to kill all the people so
that they wont share the information with the rest of the world.




Physical Details

Age:
The Arahitogami are very unique. First, they age very slowly. It takes about 70 years for an
Arahitogami to reach adult hood. Once they reach that age, their aging process slows even
more slowly. Many Arahitogami live to be around 450 years old, but some have lived almost double that.

The slow aging process is due to many factors, but two are the most prevalent.
First, Arahitogami have bodies made of stronger materials. Bones are Ceramic Steel, Skin is
as strong as leather, and smooth as silk. Muscle fibers are akin to copper wire.

Blood:
Ichor is the blood that runs through the Arahitogami. It is silver, has a slight glow in the
dark when exposed to air at night. This blood is damaging and even deadly to creatures of
demonic or dark origins. However, it has a slow healing effect on humans, Evles, and other
races that are non-demonic. It becomes toxic, however, if ingested.

Ichor neutralizes almost all acids, even the most corrosive ones. It pulls poisons and
neurotoxins from the flesh and skin, and dissolves it safely.

Sometimes, Ichor has been used on plant life. If done gradually and in small doses, it will
triple the lifespan, and often change the colors of the petals.


Neurology:
Arahitogami have a large Neural Network that has a heavier electric charge than most beings.
The current is powerful enough that touching things like wires can make lights grow a bit
brighter, or charge batteries. The only problem is that doing it for too long or too often
can cause damage.

They can dull or ignore pain in there body for short periods of time. However, the longer its
done, the greater the pain will be once that block is lifted.

Muscle:
Arahitogami do not have lactic acid. They don't get sore from straining muscles, however after
extreme conditions they do become sluggish for a time.

Heart:
They also have a fixed heart rate almost all the time, and produce no adrenaline.

Hands:
They have extendable nails that are a bit like flat claws, however, they only extend about
an inch or so.

Basic Weaknesses to the Race as a whole:
Mercury makes them feel weaker, sick, and heavier. Salt causes joint damage and slows down the
reflexes if too much is consumed. Caffeine and protein are essential in the diet. After a few
months of not having them, they get weak and can become blind.

Alcohol is a poison to them. It slows them down, slows down healing and can even cause comas.
Sugar calms them down, and makes them relaxed.

When Harmed:
Arahitogami can endure serious injury and pain. However, healing is slow as the materials that
they have within to regenerate the body are produced slower. Arahitogami skin does not scar. It
does not have markings or tattoos, as the blood they have cleans it.

Senses
They have sharp and sensitive hearing, and very good eyesight. Any color that they see, they
can consciously change there eye color to. Changing eyecolor applies the next time they sleep.

Because of being underground for so long, sunlight can cause headaches and blur vision.
It takes months, sometimes even years before they adjust to this change.


Arahitogami have either White, blue, pink or light grey hair. Its silky to the touch
and is very hard to cut with normal blades. Because their hair isn't receptive, they cannot
usually change their hair color, with few exceptions.

Arahitogami tend to seem androgynous when it comes to facial features a bit, though it is
still possible to tell.




Love Life

Arahitogami start to develop very special bonds between lovers. After sleeping with a partner
for several months, they start to become telepathic. They can talk to each other within 10 miles
of each other through that mental process.

Arahitogami cannot reproduce with other races under normal circumstances.

Arahitogami women have pregnancies of about 7 to 8 years.
