Nedz' Removal Proposition

Hi there, I'm Logan, a chat mod on this very wiki. A problem has been irking me for a while and I have decided to put this up addressing it. I will refrain from naming users involved to avoid pointing fingers though most of the evidence I link will show names.

Our long time 'crat, [[User:Nederlanderz|Nederlanderz]], has been going through some tough times recently and as such has been off centre for a while now.

I will attempt to start at the beginning and give the facts whilst keeping it as unopinionated as possible to save confusion and bias. Do be warned this is quite lengthy as I have been recording it for a long time.

[1]The first few attitude changes were minor and hardly noticeable, To begin with was the "old me" phase, he refuse to call anyone by a nickname or irl name. Then came the "I'll never RP again" here he threatened to step down as 'crat should he start again. ( http://i.imgur.com/WuhZoQg.png ) Only 2 days later he back to RPing in chat again, when I took to his PM and asked him about his earlier statement he said it was nothing and I should just forget about it.

[2]A short while later he asked an ex-chat mod that hadn't been on in a long time (since the last 'crat was removed for using multiple socks in chat mod and admin positions to control the wiki) to come back. This user was known for her dislike of RWBY and shipping. He promoted her to chat mod as soon as she entered chat without calling for election/vote or any sort of community agreement.

A day later I came on chat to find the new chat mod and a few people told me the information above, I was surprised by the suddenness and welcomed her back. (She had left a short time after I became active on this wiki's chat) Things went well but I still planned to ask Nedz why she was promoted her so quickly, then this happened. Sage/Mensager110 was kicked by her for shipping her with Nedz. "you x nedz?". An argument broke out with the other mods and most of the users telling her off for doing it. She promptly left in a fluster and some of the fanon users, most of them were around while she was first a chat mod, heard about it. One of them posted a message on Nedz wall about the incident. Her rights were removed by Nedz though he defended her to the last saying that it wasn't power abuse. She hasn't returned to the wiki since.

[3]Now as you may have read in the previous link he was in the middle of arbitrarily choosing a new mod. It was to be me or another, a then old user that rarely came on and now never comes on. Most mods up to this point had been handpicked by Nedz or put up to a person A or person B vote in chat. Some were appointed due to popularity and not ability which has caused a few problems in the past.

However, during this period some people started talking in main about who might be a new chat mod. The few times that Nedz saw them doing so he reacted by telling everyone that it's not up to them and they should drop the conversation or be kicked then banned if they did so again. This normally ended the convo quickly and it wouldn't start a while.

Due to talks with the only active admin and these two most recent incidents, my promotion was the first to go through a nomination system that the admin had set up. It worked and continues to work well, so far seeing to the promotion of myself a chat mod, three rollbacks, an admin and recently our only admin to bureaucrat as well as several failed (mostly for good reasons) nominations. [4]Now things calmed down a bit and then a thing happened, a fellow user, for a joke, asked him to pretend to be a girl ( http://imgur.com/D0J0xM9 )

He then takes up on the idea and tells other users to the main chat that he is a female, shows pictures of "herself" (one of his friends) and changes his picture to one of her, telling everyone that calls him a guy to backtrack and go with it. ( http://i.imgur.com/6J2UmBO.png )

At this point I pick up on it, I confront him and enquire as to why he is doing this. ( http://pastebin.com/f6HfKtEr ) This is part of the middle of the argument, CC is a user that tried to make me help him pretend to be a girl and I told him that he would be kicked if he did this for a second time

After I openly fought his attempts to call himself female he took to the Pm and this happened ( http://pastebin.com/yWXMPyHj )

following this he once again called himself a "she" and following the confusion of some users he told them in PM's something that convinced them to "play along" after which I showed a few others the previous link and convinced them of what I saw. This lead me to tell Nedz that I had some supporters causing him to persuade one of them otherwise.

Should you have read the entire last link you will see that this is his way to "regain some lost respect" that I never saw him lose as well as the fact that he is using his position as 'crat to make other users lie for him.

My goal was simple, to have him remove that picture from his profile and stop calling himself female, it is confusing the users and he is power abusing by telling others to join in on this blatant lie.

He has since reverted this and gone back to being himself again, but only after a week of me berating him and him threatening to remove my chat mod rights should I continue.

[5]Even more recently he activated autoplay templates under the guidance of a user who wanted them on her profile. At first I was happy with it and joined in by adding it you my page, after several complaints about it I removed it and asked Nedz to do the same as his is high traffic and having a song blast in their ears when they visit his page is neither welcoming nor professional.

He proceeded to argue with me, a fellow chatmod and a rollback until the fanon admins came over and started to get involved. Seeing that it could create another Main vs. Fanon fight he agreed to remove it from his page but said that only one user was ever going to use it.

Since then I have counted at least 3-4 more users using the template. I asked him to remove it due to his statement that he would if anyone other than the original user had them on their profile.

[6]After this had calmed down I watched him as he bragged about an old trolling of his where he pretended to be the creator of RWBY, Monty, on this chat while he was still just a standard user. This could have led other users to believe that this action is good and people are allowed to do it. Thankfully myself and another mod were able to put a stop to the boasting as well as reassuring the users in chat that it is against the rules and not to be done.

All of the above acts I consider inappropriate for his position and should not continue. I do not wish for him to leave but with these actions continuing I see little other choice. I propose that Nederlanderz be removed from Bureaucrat.
