[6:01 PM] Faerie: (To be fair, giving a concise summary last week would be hard)
[6:03 PM] Eon: Finally returning to Orixia, our intrepid band of adventurers returned to the Underdark, in search of a safe place for Divination, and answers from the yochlol who called herself Nephelle. Between cryptic hints and teary relevalations, our heroes left with newfound information, shaken at first, but with steeled resolve. They decided that the first step would be to rid Orixia of the Wight Wind, and a Divination revealed its source to be Hastur, the King in Yellow, who happened to be Elerith's patron. After.. supplicating to her king, it demanded we slay the God in the Lake, the aboleth in the Underdark, before we talked.
[6:04 PM] Eon: They also encountered and befriended(?) an Oni named Aster, and received one of his horns to call about his kin, should need arise.
[6:04 PM] Eon: And so we left off in the Spelljammer, about to discuss our plan of attack..
[6:13 PM] Eon: "..." Esker muses by herself for a while. To think they were allying themselves with the King in Yellow to rid Orixia of the Wight Wind..
[6:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... It's important to note that the Great Old Ones have various goals, and all of them have alien thoughts. Some doesn't care about humanity, others actively seek enjoyment in playing with mortals like a Chaotic Evil god. And honestly - the latter might be easier to predict than former.
[6:15 PM] Eon: It nags at the back of her mind, the whole Great Old One deal, and how Nyarlathotep.. touched her mind.
[6:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: So, when dealing with them.. Think of them less like a faction, and more like individual force of will.

[6:19 PM] Faerie: Some time to cool off has left Razmik less distant, more focused. He plays with the symbol hanging from the neck under his set of plate, focused on not dropping it. ''It's about priorities, I feel. What are we here for? Your answer to that would be as good as any.''

[6:20 PM] Faerie: He considers Lexon's words. Were it that easy, there'd be nothing to worry about, but it seemed like with each answer they procured, another two question popped free from it ''Consequences are...''

Your holy symbol grows warm for a moment, as you play with it, and a stray light, against all rhyme and reason, seems to be caught just right - a distant ray of light from a distant sun, touching softly upon your holy symbol and your hand. It's only for a split moment, as if an illusion.

The God-Eater Lake is verdant and filled with life. Algae tints the lake a beautiful green, and the leaping fishes tells of a rich bounty should you cast a net. In the distance, pillars of granite stretch from the lake surface, lined with runes and amulets of worship and faith. Men of strange form, with scales and heads of fish, dances and sings, echoing the cavern with words of worship.

The area sets off all sort of alarms for the ones blessed with divine power; You are certain that you are entering the divine domain of a deity, even if it's a minor, nascent deity. The deity forms statues - statues of a beautiful, alien aquatic creature, spreading its divine fins.
