Delicate Danseuse: an abuser tries to make that relationship as important as possible by doing "nice things" for the victim
Delicate Danseuse: to foster good will for the abuse
Delicate Danseuse: whether it's compliments or gifts or attention they don't receive anywhere else
Delicate Danseuse: there's guilt that goes along with that
Delicate Danseuse: "they gave me something so I owe them"
Delicate Danseuse: course, that's not how it works - gifts are supposed to be no strings attached
Delicate Danseuse: but abusers encourage that mentality
Delicate Danseuse: "what do you mean i've done a bad thing! look at all the nice things i've done! why are you being so mean to me?"
Delicate Danseuse: "i can't be bad, what i'm doing can't be bad, i've done good things for you! i'm so nice!"
Delicate Danseuse: that's called grooming.
Delicate Danseuse: maybe one day liana will be able to block her, but if not today, that's understandable and fine.
Delicate Danseuse: and honestly, she doesn't need to remove her from everything immediately. if she wants to do it slowly, that's fine, too.
Delicate Danseuse: leaving the private conversations one day, next week removing her from skype, the week after that removing her from steam, the week after that something else.
Delicate Danseuse: the most important thing right now is making her feel like she's in control.
Delicate Danseuse: that she has control over her life, her emotions, and her decisions.
Delicate Danseuse: it's easy to pressure her, command her to do something specific, but that's what she's had to deal with concerning halcyon. even if it's not sexual coersion, it's not good for her.
