AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE IS “GO”
After months of meetings and negotiations IHA and IHV are very proud to announce the formation and commencement of the Australian Junior Ice Hockey league.

To comply with IIHF World championship status, its been forced upon us, but that does not take away from the fact that this an Historic announcement for Ice Hockey in this country. It is IHA ‘s vision that this league is a showcase for aspiring National Youth team, Junior team, and AIHL players, and will add much needed strength to our Junior Development program.

IHV is very pleased to confirm that we are hosting the Inaugural games of this new league, here at the Icehouse Docklands on October 20th and 21st.

Our best 16 to 20 year olds will play against Interstate rivals in what we hope will become the cornerstone of Junior contests in this country.

Its early days, but IHV has elected to participate with 2 teams this year ! Correct 2 x teams , of hopefully equal strength to take on NSW’s 2 x teams, and hopefully 2 x WA teams that are currently under negotiation. Games will be played in NSW and Victoria only at this point, to keep costs reasonable, and expressions of Interest are now sought for the positions of ( and 2 of each required) Head coach, Asst coach, Team manager, equipment manager, Trainers, and of course 40 of our best young Ice Hockey players.

Tryouts have been confirmed, Saturday 22nd Sept, at the Icehouse Docklands. Be ready for On ice at 7.00 pm until 8.30pm
cost for session is $20.00 , i will be there and available for information from 6pm. Future trainings will be Friday nights at the Icehouse 10.15 pm ongoing.
The two Victorian teams are the Red Wings and the Blackhawks and they will be wearing Original NHL colours and strip
