  1. Hey it's noboruplaysgames. This time I would like to talk about options to get back onstage from the ledge. When watching newer players attempt to get onstage they will almost always leap upwards from the ledge. However the truth is there are many ways to get back on the stage. There are around 5 basic ways not including any unknown matchup problems, to get back on to stage. The first option is an option I do not ever see casual or new players do. You can press R or L to roll back onstage. This will take you a considerable distance forward although it is punishable so use it sparingly. Another option is the get up attack. If your opponent is doing something laggy or slow to try to edgeguard then a get up attack can be a great punish; taking on damage and getting back to the stage. However if read you will be MASSIVELY punished which depending on the opponent can be the end of your stock. Also keep in mind that at high percenteges the get up attack is much slower and not a viable option whatsoever. There is also a high leap performed by just simply pressing and holding the jump button. If they are edgeguarding low or preparing for a roll or other low recoveries this is a good option to use. Unless it is in those conditions however, it is very punishable and if your opponent has a spike it could spell the end of your stock. So use it wisely. The last two are generally preferred options but require a little bit of tech skill. The first one is ledge hopping. This is performed by dropping of the ledge and immediently jumping up and onto the stage. If done correctly you will reach the stage. Just remember it must be done quickly. This is a quick and effective option to get back onstage. While ledge hopping you can also use an arial to hit an edgeguarding opponent. The last option is the hardest to preform. This is to waveland on stage. I will write a wave dashing tutorial so I reccomend learning that first before trying this option. To waveland onstage, ledge hop and right as you are slightly above the ledge, air dodge into the stage. This will have the same effect as a wave dash. It will slide you forward and immediently reset you to neutral. That means that you will be able to preform any action immediently. I would reccomend shielding if the opponent is looking to attack or if you can outrange them, you can attack out of it. Of course it will depend on where your opponent is on the stage and what they can do. I hope you learned something from reading this guide and good luck getting back onstage.
