(Osric Melkire) Swift paces the floor of his office, dictating to his Hyuran secretary as his Lalafellen aide pulls reference books off the shelves of the bookcases lining the walls.
(Kage Kiryuu) The haggard appearing Miqo'te walks up to the Flame Commander Swift, "Sir, my name is Kage Kiryuu of the Brass Blades and I have a troubling report to make to you regarding Flame Sergeant Melkire."
(Osric Melkire) Swift pauses in his dictation as his pacing comes to a stop, as he glances at the man... "Pond," he calls out, turning his head slightly towards the hyur so that his voice carries, "did we have any appointments today?"
(Osric Melkire) The secretary blinks, pulls a notebook from underneath a sheathe of papers and starts flipping through it.
(Kage Kiryuu) The Miqo'te stands straight, inwardly thinking if the adventurers in the Immortal Flames all had to do this or not.
(Osric Melkire) Swift stares at the Miqo'te and clears his throat.
Mathesar Galaxyquest bows courteously to W'zamqoo Kett.
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage gives the Commander a salute and asks, "Permission to give this report sir? Without an audience perhaps?"

(Osric Melkire) "I wasn't aware that my private offices were open to the public. Hence -private-.... but very well. Pond. Fafaso." The hyur woman jumps up from her seat, fumbling for numerous papers and folders before hustling to the door, the little Lalafell right behind her. They shut the door as they leave. "Permission granted."
(Osric Melkire) Swift returns the salute.
Osric Melkire >> if jenlyns can have an office instead of standing around outside all day, so can swift, lol :P ))
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage pauses before exhaling, "The wanted terrorist Gharen Wolfsong was freed under one Sergeant Melkire's command and actions. I acted as more than his accomplice in this act when it was ordered to kill any Brass Blade who had heard our names. There are two Brass Blades killed in an underground tunnel near Nophica's Wells."
(Osric Melkire) Swift blinks slowly... then turns to face Kage as he crosses his arms behind his back. "That's a rather grave accusation... am I to understand that you're confessing, then? Sergeant Melkire came to you with an unauthorized mission to free a wanted terrorist from... Brass Blade custody, correct? ... which resulted in casualities amongst our cousins?"
(Osric Melkire) "Who else was involved?"
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage nods. "Yes sir, I was the one to draw my blade under his command to free the wanted terrorist Gharen Wolfsong."
(Kage Kiryuu) He doesn't show any reaction when she says, "Just myself and the Sergeant, sir."
(Kage Kiryuu) (...*he)
(Osric Melkire) Swift stares. Minutes pass... then the commander turns to Pond's desk, rifles through the stacks, and draws out a rather thick folder laden with papers. He turns back to Kage, flipping the folder open and paging through the forms, eyes traveling back and forth as he steps towards Kage. "So not only are you confessing to your involvement and accusing the sergeant of wrong-doing, you are also accusing him of perjury. Is that correct?"
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage looks back into his eyes, "I can't say if he's committed perjury or not, sir. I don't know what's in any report."
(Osric Melkire) "No... no, you wouldn't, would you?" Swift looks back down as he comes to a pause on one particular page towards the back of the folder. The ink is dark, and it glistens. "According to his report, there were -five- of you, four of which descended... not including Wolfsong."
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage eyes flash as he asks, "Five sir? Who does he name in this report?"
(Osric Melkire) Swift tilts his head to the left, then to the right, back and forth in an subconscious imitation of a chocobo. "Initial Contact: Kage Kiryuu. Contractor: Kage Kiryuu. Personnel: Natalie Mcbeef, Kage Kiryuu, Osric Melkire, Coatleque Crofte. Retainers: Alexei Volkov." His eyes raise to meet Kage's. "Is this or is this not accurate?"
(Kage Kiryuu) "Alexei Volkov? I don't know that name." He shakes his head, "T'is a shame then. Aye I confess to the killing of two Brass Blades in his mission of freeing a -wanted terrorist-. Ser Crofte appeared and saw the dead bodies of the Brass Blades. Neither of these have been reported, sir. Unless you mean to say that you sir are hiding this from the Brass Blades."
(Osric Melkire) Swift stares... "Funny. You're listed as contractor. This would make this -your- mission, would it not? Or did you not approach my man and request his assistance?" Swift turns to one side as he goes back to flipping through the report, goes back to pacing around the room. "Operational security in an ongoing investigation often requires unfortunate... delays. Rest assured that I have forwarded a copy of this report, as well as my own findings and recommendations, to the General. Melkire himself--
(Osric Melkire) -- requested that he bear the brunt of any reprisals. He also requested that such punitive action be put on hold until such time as the investigation is closed. Word will reach the blades soon enough... through Lord Lolorito, I suspect."
(Osric Melkire) "So. Was this your mission or not?"
(Kage Kiryuu) "I wasn't aware sir that a low Brass Blade like myself can command a Flame Sergeant such as Melkire on missions. I asked for help in the matter of locating Roen Deneith."
(Osric Melkire) "No, you couldn't... but Lt. Mcbeef certainly could, and according to this report, she lead the party." He stops for a moment in his pacing, glances up... "Are you aware that Syndicate decree dictates that Chief Flame Sergeant Melkire cannot command? Has no authority to command?"
(Osric Melkire) "His report lists you as contactor... on behalf of Mcbeef."
(Osric Melkire) contractor* ))
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage shakes his head, "I contacted him on my own sir. Mcbeef had nothing to do with it but for my involvement."
(Osric Melkire) "Was she there?"
(Kage Kiryuu) "She was there but she had no involvement in the killing of the Blades or the freeing of Gharen Wolfsong."
(Osric Melkire) Swift raises an eyebrow. "No involvement."
(Osric Melkire) "Then why was she there?"
(Kage Kiryuu) "I asked for her to be a witness."
Osric Melkire) Swift rubs at his chin with one gloved hand, then walks over to Pond's desk and half-seats himself on it, closing the folder with one hand, holding it shut with the other. "Kiryuu. I'd like to recommend you a course of action. Return to your duties. Following sun, I'll have a copy of this report sent to you for your perusal. It has not yet been filed, and as such is not yet a matter of public record. I noted as such to the General. If, after reading Melkire's report, you wish to continue--
(Osric Melkire) --with these allegations, return to me. I shall hear you out and take actions as I deem fit, for Coin and Country. The Blades will be notified, and the Sultansworn Order called in to corraborate the veracity of this report... if there is any to be had."
(Osric Melkire) "Would that be a suitable course for you? Or do you insist otherwise?"
(Kage Kiryuu) "...Aye sir."
(Kage Kiryuu) Kage gives the Commander a salute and a bow, standing to attention.
(Osric Melkire) Swift returns the salute. "Dismissed. Nald'thal watch over you."

(Kage Kiryuu) "Aye, sir." He turns and walks away, looking ever more haggard as he thinks about all the events recently happening.
