Some key points about Samhain Surprise.

As FUN as this may be...

This morning I received a private message from a fellow who's been communicating with me in the same location and manner for two weeks now... and he asks me today... "So when is this event?"

Really?  *Facepalm*

Billions of dollars of computers world wide, global resources dug up from the ground at the risk of rendering humans and most other life extinct, all at your fingertips, with millions of 'internet friends' willing to help you find things when you get stuck mid-search, and just one single click away from doing it all by yourself after everyone else has done it all for you... and you ask me this question?  REALLY?

No one ask me what I think of this - you don't ever really want to know.  Trust me, you DON'T.

Why did I share this with you all today?  Because they are NOT THE ONLY ONE DOING THIS.  *Shakes his head*  This is EXACTLY what makes me want to close my private family event to the public once again.

Really people... With limited seating at my private event, and with my family and close friends being the center of Samhain Surprise, do you really want to appear this way before I chose who can enter my home and who can't make it?

You can't depend on technology, internet memes, videos games, movies references, thumb-clicking distraction devices, pop-culture idols, or any other all too common things to cover for you when you're here (like you can elsewhere)... this event is for LISTENING TO EACH OTHER and SHARING YOURSELF while being SOCIAL without using a plastic screen as a blanket under which to hide.  Does this notion really seem that 'alien' to people today?  If you can't communicate effectively or have something to share of yourself with others that's about YOU, not what you 'like' or 'saw' or 'heard', then you're still not understanding what Samhain itself is about.  If you think just dealing with this physical world of illusion is tough, you're not ready for everything else that exists in this ASTOUNDING MULTIVERSE - and much of it intersects this one... especially this time of year when many groups actively INVOKE such interactions for the greater good of their family or coven.

I'm not trying to 'scare people', and I'm also not going to have guests over who 'don't know what to do' or 'don't know what to say'.  We're not gathering for your sole amusement and pleasure, nor are we gathering to stare at technology or the walls for that matter.  OPEN YOURSELF UP to SHARING.  I don't know how else to put it.  Stretch your imaginations a little... at least in a creative artistic way... but preferably in a supernatural way (your inner being, your greater self).  Get that 6th sense tuned up and exercise it a little - and at least take it out of that dusty attic upstairs once in a blue moon and gather with others who are not AFRAID of THEMSELVES and their own natural abilities that we all have.

IE: THIS EVENT IS NOT ABOUT THE ROGERS SUGAR CORPORATION OR WEARING SEASONAL THROW-AWAY PLASTIC CLOTHING.

I am an ordained Pagan Minister with the Universal Life Church who is recognized in the Canadian National Court System (yes, legally, if you need their approval for titles and such) and have performed some (what multiple witnesses saw as) astounding paranormal achievements in my long life thus far.  Technology does not matter to me when I have such skills in my life and do not care what so called 'society' thinks of who (or what) I am.  They can grow up one day too... maybe... I wonder if that'll even change anymore, truly.

Anyway, people... please... understand at least this much and have SOMETHING to offer us BEFORE you plan to be present and active at my private event.  Stories of awesome things that have happened to you, bring something you're working on artistically, even if it's just an idea so far, anything about yourself rather than what everyone else thinks of you.  No internet memes!  No pop-culture crap!  I don't care (nor do my friends and family) what others think of your UNIQUE abilities or wild notions artistically other than I'm proud that you're at least an individual rather than just another follower and copy-cat or 'fan' of what everyone else is doing so you can 'fit in' to some kind of temporary societal click.  Individuals, even those I don't like, get my blessing as they go their way far more than unidentified drifting objects (pun intended).  I prefer to know people, inside, as they really are, without fear of the unknown, or the fear of making CONTACT, than to live any portion of my life behind a damned oil based resource sucking planet killing plastic screen.

And, above all, PLEASE BOTHER TO MAKE AN EFFORT to READ things I put the effort in to write for YOU.  Seriously... Really... The rewards are worth it.  Ask anyone how often I bother to invite ANYONE from the public sector into my sacred private space... or my tolerance level of the mundane that society consists of these days.  So, yes, my words, all of them, are very important to understand and heed.

My girl is in tears due to the actions of a certain furry individual, but our event will still transpire, WITHOUT THAT PERSON IN ATTENDANCE.  I refuse to let the actions of anyone change either of us or our lives on a personal level, because we have each other and NOTHING comes between us!  Nothing and no one stands a chance if they dared!  The details shall remain private from this forum by my own will, but they know exactly who they are and the result of their decisions.  My girl and I shall PREVAIL without you!

Here's what's changed for us and why our event was almost cancelled: I used to have an additional few hundred dollars on top of my medical disability in which to feed and shelter my girl who has no job or income.  I was working FOR HER more so than for myself.  That extra income for our survival has been completely stripped away from me, and thus my ability to feed her has also been stripped away from me personally, and thus food has been taken out of my girl's mouth, which affects me GREATLY!  Every penny of my disability cheque goes into our monthly bills totaling over $900 this month but typically totaling about $750 monthly, PLUS FOOD for TWO PEOPLE... which costs about $700 monthly.  I get only $900 a month now and have a VISA debt rather suddenly due to this sudden unexpected change in income that this person left us with.  In short: I get $900 for myself for everything, but my bills total over $1600 monthly for two people.  If I sign and register my girl as a 'dependent' for some additional income to keep us fed and alive, not only do we both potentially lose our home (that's pretty damned serious!  Land owners decide such things about us all every day of our lives) but so do FIVE other tenants in our building, including Draco, because our rent would go up instantly to match that amount and ONLY the land owner would profit from these tax dollars and not us in any way... and we do not want to waste the people's tax revenue in such a manner!  Our land lord is rich enough!!!  Instead my girl would prefer to make her own independent income... IF there were any realistic jobs available, or people would at least buy her art more frequently so she could afford her own food while we deal with this imposed mess that's been created for us to deal with.

Meanwhile, since I can no longer afford to eat or drink at my own catered event which I am HOSTING for you, I welcome any collected funds upon your arrival in cash in which to be able to enjoy some of our planned dining and drinks along with your company rather than feel so embarrassed about my sudden imposed situation that I should spend the entire weekend in my locked office and bedroom with my girl and to cancel my own event at the last minute.  If this does not seem 'fair' to you, I understand completely, even though I disagree with you for many reasons, especially under the suggested title of 'community'.  My girl is native and knows EVERYTHING about tribal community (what's real vs what's illusion).

I had some marvelous plans for Samhain Surprise 2014, but now I know it'll be a very basic event due to the usual culprit... money itself (and the lies being spun regarding the 'PROMISE' of same).

If you cannot affording anything, believe me, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND your situation and feelings, once again.  Money comes and goes, but love like this is forever... and my girl ain't going anywhere other than by my side, no matter what the world throws at us.  :>  Real life living under a bridge with my love in my arms would still make me smile, while living in fear of losing money or the waning company of fairweather 'friends' would only bring me grief.  I chose HER over everything else in life.  Above all others!

So if you still wish to attend after you've gone through the web page and contacted me privately for further details, you are still invited to attend this rare occasion, and some of you are in for at least a few remaining surprises.  Truly and MOST OF ALL, I ask and welcome the company of my dear and true friends who have ALWAYS STOOD BY ME and STOOD UP FOR ME as I have ALWAYS done for them.  However, if our strong life bond that my girl and I share and what others do to us outside of our relationship defines us for you inside your mind, then by all means, walk your own way, whatever that may be.

We are.  We do.  We prevail.
