There are three main types of connectors:
coordinating conjunctions:
	- and, but, or
	- connect independent clauses in the same sentence (and connect other parallel structures)
sentence connectors:
	- however, for example, moreover, on the other hand
	- connect a new sentence to the previous sentence
subordinating conjunctions:
	- when, if, until, although, because
	- connect dependent clauses or phrases to the main clause
