- You need to write a simple window application that acts as a virtual second

- an actual screen.
- No.40676414
- >don't want to use a physical 2nd monitor
- >need 2x more desktop space
- If I understand what you want properly then no, this is not possible. There is no
- way you can take your native 1366x768 screen and magically make it 2732x768. I
- does not work like that.
- From skimming the thread it seems that you want all the content on screen in some
- way and workspaces obviously doesn't offer that. For pretty much any LCD you
- can't set a resolution beyond your native and if you can even find monitor
- virtualization software it will be clunky at best.
- It sounds like you are on a laptop, if so go out and buy a cheap monitor. Hook
- your laptop up via VGA/HDMI or whatever output you have and just extend display.
- If you need to use the dual monitor gimmick outside your house you are SoL.

- By buying a monitor that displays at higher resolutions. You're capped by the
- pixel density your computer handles bro. You can't magically stick more pixels

- Not really what you're looking for but when I need a bit more screenspace than I
- have:
- Go to Nvidia Control Panel (assuming you have an nvidia card), navigate to
- "change resolution" tab, hit Customize, check "Enable resolutions not exposed by
- the display", Create custom resolution, and input 2560x2048. After you test it
