KapuDaKoopa: I think that maybe the strict usage of said base is clogging up all three of your's creative ability in terms of character design
Soul: If I'm gonna be honest
Soul: I agree with this
Soul: whole-heartedly
Soul: which is why I've been trying to deviate from that
KapuDaKoopa: I showed a cropped screenshot of TA2SE with Tainy and an NPC to someone who does professional spritework (gets paid to make sprites) and they think it looks really generic
Soul: I agree
KapuDaKoopa: Shiny sent me some sprites from a thing he's working on so yeah he's starting to deviate somewhat too
Soul: you've been seeing one of my other character spritebases in turn
Soul: as well as that 2x version of the base  you've been talking about
Soul: i'm trying to do other things
Soul: and smk:aim uses yet another style
Soul: but that one was done by supah
Soul: so

Soul: I think the main reason why I haven't deviated until a few months ago is starspire
Soul: because he keeps using it
Soul: and some of our projects are collabs
Soul: tl;dr i've been experimenting with new styles
Soul: even I'm aware of the problem
