  1. In the letter above its author attempts to persuade us that an effective and mandatory program funded by the high school's budget is an exclusive solution to the problem of involvement teenagers in road accidents. However, in his reasoning he has leaved several unanswered questions.
  2.
  3. First, the author mentions that several accidents that happened in and around Centerville have involved teenagers. However, he does not give us information if these teenagers study in the discussed school and live in Centerville at all. Answer to this question is crucial, since if they do not, the proposed mandatory courses cannot improve the situation with involvement students of the school into road accidents.
  4.
  5. Moreover, the author justifies need for the driving courses referring to the fact that a number of parents are too busy for teaching their children of safe driving. Yet there is no information given to show what this number is relating to the number of parents who are ready to teach their children. If the ratio is small enough, the idea of mandatory courses for all students will be unwarranted.

  7. Finally, the author puts aside the issue of the availability the school's budget for additional programs. Perhaps the budget is tough enough to afford another though useful but expensive program. If it is true, the argument will sound unreasonable.
