It was one of those nights again for Richard Grayson that he woke up from a nightmare. Due to his night time job, he could only sleep in the early morning and wake up in the early afternoon to get ready for work. This night was about when his little brother was murdered by the Joker and the building that he kidnapped him was blown up. As the two drove up to the abandoned building, they saw it blowing up. His father walked up to the dead body to carry him back to his vehicle. He felt like the worst older brother of all time. He left Gotham behind him, never talked to his father because of mutual disagreements, and new saw and barely talked to his little brother. He loved him very much, but didn't see him dying the way that he did by any means necessary.

After Richard woke up in a cold sweat, he started to tear up a little bit. "I'm sorry Jason.." He whispered to himself as he got out of bed. He turned all of the apartment's fans on and started to make himself a breakfast protein shake. After the protein shake was done and he was drinking it, he walked in his shower and started it. He checked the local news to see if anything was up. As he was watching the local news, they were talking a new gang in their city. He finally finished his protein shake and undressed himself to get into the shower. As he was in the shower, he thought about quitting the vigilante business now. He is out every night destroying his body and soul, people dying because of him, and not being able to save everyone.

After Richard got out of the shower, he got dressed and headed out to the local food market. As he was walking to the food market, he received a phone call from his father Bruce. "Hey dad, whats up?" He asked him in a casual way. "Dick, you need to come back to Gotham.." "There is something you need to see here.." His father sounded surprise and stunned, which is something that he never is. He could tell by the tone of his voice it was too serious to not come back to Gotham. "Alright, I will be there soon dad." He hung up his cell phone. He was thinking what was wrong in Gotham so bad that his father needed him back there.

Richard started to pack his clothes and his toiletries in his big backpack. He immediately ran down to the parking lot under the apartment building and finally found his motorcycle. He put the backpack where his helmet storage was and put on his helmet, and he was off. As he was riding his motorcycle, he called Bruce back. He put his phone on speakers phone and on the front of the motorcycle phone carrier. When he answered, Richard started to immediately talk to him. "Bruce what is going on..?" He asked him in a soft tone. "You can tell me, I am your son." He said softly again but in a comforting tone at the same time. "Its just something you need to see to believe." Bruce confirmed with him as he hung up the phone. He looked at his cell phone and confusion and disgust. Why did he keep doing this business, he did not know why in the back of his mind.

When Richard finally arrived back to Gotham, thank god the first house in the city is actually Bruce's mansion. He put his finger on the giant gate, and it let him in. He rode down into the bat cave and slowly made his way where Bruce and Oracle was. When he parked his motorcycle, he noticed that the computer was off and everyone looked depressed. He took off his helmet and grabbed his backpack. "Bruce.. What the hell is going on..?" He asked him one last time. "Hey there Dick." Bruce and Oracle greeted him. "Hey there guys." "Now I came all the way here all the way from Bludhaven, tell me what is going on, or I am going back to Bludhaven."

Bruce pointed to a seat for where Richard could sit at. "As you know I have been doing more recon then the rogue work.." "Tim has been taking care of the rogues." He confirmed with him. "While I have been doing some recon work, Tim called me and said that he was terribly injured and immediately needed help." "I ran over there as fast as I could, to find out it was a man with a red motorcycle on his head." He continued on with his story. "I also did notice that he has technology that could break mine, no other technology could do that." "As I was fighting him, I took a piece of his clothing and let him beat me." He admitted to him. "He left the battle on his motorcycle and I could give Tim the medical attention that he needed."

Bruce and Oracle look down as he turned on his computer. "As I put the DNA on my scanner, the results are of someone that I couldn't believe.." He sounded a bit sad. "At first I had to make sure it was him." "I went to Ra's Ah Ghul's home and he confirmed it that it was him." "So I knew now for a fact it was him.." "But the reason why I called you back to Gotham was not to tell you about the situation, I need your help Dick.." He admitted to him as he turned on his computer. He fell onto his knees when he found out that Jason was alive but was a mass murderer. "No, that is not right dad!" He shouted at him and pulled him against the wall as he was crying. "This is wrong and someone is messing with you big time." He said to him as he was getting weak. "I'm sorry Dick, but Jason is alive again and needs help.." He apologized to him as he hugged him for the first time in about ten years.
