- >The snow crunches under your feet as you walk through the light forest.
- "Are you sure this is the way back to Ponyville, Dash?" you yell over your shoulder.
- >"Uh, maybe? Look I can hardly see anything in this weather!"
- >You sigh and rub your hands together to get them warm.
- "If we don't get back before it's dark, we're going to have a problem."
- >Dash caught up and is now standing next to you.
- >"W-w-we already have a problem now, I'm freezing my hooves off."
- >You and Dash came out here this afternoon to go find her saddlebag she lost during a flyover the day before.
- >You didn't find the bag, but a nasty snowstorm found you.
- >Now you wander through the light forest, looking for the way back.
- "This would be much easier if the snow didn't cover our footprints so quickly, we might've been walking in circles for the past two hours!"
- >You had your winter jacket and boots on, but Dash was completely bare except for a beanie and a scarf.
- >The dim light of the clouded sun got weaker with the minute - a sign that the sun was setting.
- >"Aww man we're never going to find back now!"
- >You try to calm Dash down.
- "If everything goes wrong, we can still just wait out the night and try again in the morning."
- >"No Anon, don't you understand, we'll freeze to death here!"
- >Rainbow Dash was clearly distressed.
- >You try to calm her down by putting an arm around her neck.
- "Come on Dash, let's find shelter somewhere, it's no use looking for the way back in these conditions."
- >Reluctantly, Dash agrees, and the two of you look around.
- >You spot a big tree that got partially torn out of the ground by a storm some time ago.
- >The roots form a small cavity underneath. It wasn't big, but it would have to do for the night.
- >You lead Dash to the tree and stretch your hand out.
- "Ladies first."
- >Dash grunts.
- >"Idiot."
- >But she couldn't suppress a smile.
- >You shove yourself into the cavity after her, groaning as you stretch out your cold feet.
- "You know, these boots were supposed to be waterproof."
- >Dash giggles.
- >"You're lucky you're wearing any boots."
- >Outside, night fell, but the snow storm continued on.
- >With no way to make a fire, both of you were sitting in the cold.
- >You notice that Rainbow Dash was shivering, and blowing in her hooves in an attempt to get them warm.
- >You open your jacket with one hand, and wrap your other arm around her.
- >"H-Hey, what are you doing!" she protests as you pull her towards you.
- "Mitigating the risk of hypothermia, dummy."
- >Pressing a blushing Dash against your chest, you wrap the jacket around the two of you.
- >Even though her hooves felt cold, the heat coming off of her body was just the thing you needed.
- >"Hypowhatnow? You're an egghead, Anon." Dash mocks you.
- "Oh shut up and let's sleep."
- >As your eyes close tiredly, you notice the faint feeling of Dash nuzzling your chest.
- >The next morning, you're awoken by the sound of hoof steps on the snow.
- >You open your eyes and find Dash still cuddled to you.
- >Careful not to wake her up, you peek outside.
- >The weather seems to have cleared up, and a yellow Pegasus is standing in front of the tree shelter, stepping nervously from one hoof to the other.
- "Fluttershy?"
- >Fluttershy squeaks in surprise.
- >Dash yawns.
- >"Hmmmwhat's going on? Is it morning yet?"
- "Wait Fluttershy, what are you doing here?"
- >Fluttershy rubs her front legs together nervously.
- >"Uhm, you two didn't come back yesterday, so uhm, me and the girls were looking for you this morning, and when I found you you looked so peaceful I was afraid to wake you up, and uhm..."
- "Wait a minute, how long have you been watching us?"
- >Fluttershy's voice turns into a light whisper.
- >"T-t-t-"
- "T?"
- >"Twen-n-"
- "Twen?"
- >"twenty minutes." she finally says, and gulps heavily.
- >You laugh and remove Dash from your chest.
- >"Would you like to come over to my cottage for some warm punch?" offers Fluttershy.
- >Both of you accept the offer, desperately craving for a warm drink.
- >"Oh, and I also found this. Weren't you looking for it?" she adds and holds up a saddlebag.
- >"Wow, where did you find it?" asks Dash.
- >"Oh, about twenty meters from here hanging from a tree branch."
