  4. [2015-03-18 20:41:31]<EchoesOfDeath> Another night passes, with more excitement than the last one as the news of the party spread. People's voices go until late night as they spread the news. Soon a new day awakens, the bright blue sky shining through the hallway skylights.
  5. [2015-03-18 20:43:26]* Star_Spotter yawns as she starts to go about her day, trying to find Golden Leaf to greet her again
  6. [2015-03-18 20:45:21]* Swift_Hurddle tries to find the ponies from the libary to ask if anyone noticed anything strange about Star, when not doing this tries to get ponies to help set up the break room for the party (move things, set up snack area or dj area, these sorts of things)
  7. [2015-03-18 20:45:40]* Cambiance contemplates where she could snag some dank shades.
  8. [2015-03-18 20:47:37]* Backlash goes to the Library to search for a map - perhaps she could find a map of the blocked-off areas of the prison.
  9. [2015-03-18 20:55:36]<EchoesOfDeath> Golden Leaf is at her room, she stretches and yawns as Star_Spotter shows up, some of the rainy cloud in her disposition seems to have vanished and she seems more ready to face the day.
  10. [2015-03-18 20:56:06]* Star_Spotter smiles as she hangs out with Golden Leaf, just trying to keep her in that good mood and get close to her.
  11. [2015-03-18 20:57:03]<EchoesOfDeath> "Good morning, Star." Golden Leaf greets.
  12. [2015-03-18 20:58:21]<Star_Spotter> "Morning Leaf." She says happily. "What are you plans for today?"
  13. [2015-03-18 21:00:11]* Nito has quit (Quit: Connection closed for inactivity)
  14. [2015-03-18 21:00:43]<EchoesOfDeath> Cambiance can see the occasional shades wearing survivor or deputy trotting by, but she doesn't know any particular place where they are being given away.
  15. [2015-03-18 21:03:17]* Cambiance trots up to a deputy. "Hello, sir? Where did you get those sunglasses, if I may ask? I've been looking for a decent pair recently..."
  16. [2015-03-18 21:04:06]<EchoesOfDeath> Swift_Hurddle asks around. Not many ponies seem to have any opinion of her since she just arrived. Perch Mint who knew her for a long while says she doesn't think she is exactly bad, but she is kind of shameless.

  18. [2015-03-18 21:09:21]<EchoesOfDeath> While Perch and Swift talk, Backlash digs into the library's archives. Eventually she finds in an open staff area a map, pointing to all exits and workplace hazards in the prison (not including zombies)
  19. [2015-03-18 21:12:41]<EchoesOfDeath> "I don't really know." Golden Leaf says. "What is there to do here?"
  20. [2015-03-18 21:13:56]<Star_Spotter> "Well I usually sit in the library and read some books or help others out around the place."
  21. [2015-03-18 21:15:09]* Backlash studies the map in the library for a while before an idea occurs to her. She takes it to the librarian's desk (if indeed there is one) and asks if she can check it out for a couple days.
  22. [2015-03-18 21:18:00]<EchoesOfDeath> "I bought them, back when that was how things worked." The deputy says to Cambiance. "I don't think there is any to spare inside this place. Unless a supply team found any."
  23. [2015-03-18 21:18:47]* Cambiance grumbles as she walks away. "I bought them... no need to be snippy."
  24. [2015-03-18 21:18:53]* Cambiance decides to go find and bother Swift.
  25. [2015-03-18 21:19:48]* Swift_Hurddle is in the commons room trying to organize the party efforts
  26. [2015-03-18 21:21:18]<EchoesOfDeath> Perch writes it down on a book, as she informally assumed the librarian duties, and lets Backlash borrow it
  27. [2015-03-18 21:26:20]<EchoesOfDeath> ---
  28. [2015-03-18 21:36:08]<EchoesOfDeath> Golden Leaf decides to get to know the place better, so she and Star_Spotter spend most of the day walking around. She notices that the place is brighter and seems to like that. She shows some interest in the Infirmary but decides to leave that for another day.
  29. [2015-03-18 21:38:19]<EchoesOfDeath> Meanwhile, Swift_Hurddle and Cambiance are organizing their big party. The music equipment is set. Ponies contribute with small shares of water for the punch. And Cambiance spots Monochrome, the yellow pegasus who guided them to the prison, leaving some bags by one of the tables.
  30. [2015-03-18 21:39:52]* Swift_Hurddle chats up the ponies who are showing up for the party
  31. [2015-03-18 21:40:34]* Cambiance walks up to Monochrome. "Glad to see you here!"
  32. [2015-03-18 21:43:58]<EchoesOfDeath> "Oh, hey! How's it going?" He takes a step away and looks at the bags. "Oh, would you look at that. Somepony left stuff here."
  33. [2015-03-18 21:45:03]* Cambiance grins. "Somepony did. And that somepony is very kind. Are you going to stay for the party at all?"
  34. [2015-03-18 21:46:05]<EchoesOfDeath> "I hope so, but stuff shows up sometimes." Monochrome says
  35. [2015-03-18 21:46:37]* Cambiance nods. "Fair enough. It'll be fun though."
  36. [2015-03-18 21:47:27]* Backlash creeps into the party area (the lounge?) and approaches Swift, seeing Cambiance busy talking to Monochrome. She can't suppress a cheery wave to Mono, even still.
  37. [2015-03-18 21:48:39]* Star_Spotter has quit (Connection closed)
  38. [2015-03-18 21:51:50]<EchoesOfDeath> Swift_Hurddle sees the grey unicorn teenager shows up along with his friends. He seems to remind him of a taller grey unicorn. He also sees the pink pegasus and her friends. Aegis shows up as well, and Punch Clock.
  39. [2015-03-18 21:53:24]<EchoesOfDeath> Cambiance notices that one of the bags is filled with snacks, and the other has a variety of bottles, including cider and some harder liquors.
  40. [2015-03-18 21:53:48]* Cambiance rubs her chin in silent contemplation, and then motions for Swift.
  41. [2015-03-18 21:54:25]* Swift_Hurddle moves over to greet them, "Hey thanks for coming"
  42. [2015-03-18 21:58:50]<EchoesOfDeath> All of them seem to range from interest to full-blown excitement about the party.
  43. [2015-03-18 21:59:23]<Cambiance> "Hey Swift? Can you come here for a sec?"
  44. [2015-03-18 22:00:13]<EchoesOfDeath> Sugar shows up with Ice Bead, both of them leaning against each other but not letting their infirmities to stop them.
  45. [2015-03-18 22:02:41]* Swift_Hurddle pardons himself and trots over, "Sure thing, one sec why dont you try the punch we should be starting soon!", arriving at cambiance he smiles, "Nice shades, so whats up?"
  46. [2015-03-18 22:03:11]* Cambiance blinks slowly, and shows Swift the bag of booze. "... Thoughts?"
  47. [2015-03-18 22:04:33]<EchoesOfDeath> Monochrome slips into the crowd
  48. [2015-03-18 22:06:57]* Swift_Hurddle lowers his muzzle and opens his eyes, "Woah... where did you get that?", he seems excited
  49. [2015-03-18 22:07:56]* Cambiance shrugs. "Don't worry about it. The important thing is that it's here."
  50. [2015-03-18 22:08:33]* Backlash trots over from around the edge of the room. "Hey guys, how's the set-up goin'?"
  51. [2015-03-18 22:09:15]* Cambiance gazes into the bag. "Better than expected so far."
  52. [2015-03-18 22:09:46]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, "Well maybe we should add a bit to the punch? Or add a second bowl of punch out and just do it with that one? do we have enough to do that? I mean if we have it... might as well use it right?"
  53. [2015-03-18 22:10:14]* Cambiance nods sagely. "Sounds right to me. It's been a long apocalypse so far after all."
  54. [2015-03-18 22:10:18]* Swift_Hurddle looks to Backlash, "Yup, also what is your opinion on alchahol?"
  55. [2015-03-18 22:10:26]* Swift_Hurddle snickers at Cambiances joke
  56. [2015-03-18 22:11:24]* Backlash blinks. "Alcohol? ...I don't mind a nice fruity drink, but... you guys have some?"
  57. [2015-03-18 22:11:44]* Cambiance glances at Swift. "... Maybe?"
  58. [2015-03-18 22:14:25]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, "Very maybe"
  59. [2015-03-18 22:15:00]* Cambiance grabs a bottle of the harder alcohol, and takes a large swig.
  60. [2015-03-18 22:15:21]* Cambiance grimaces.
  61. [2015-03-18 22:15:33]<Cambiance> "Wait, actually, yes. That's what we mean. Yes we do."

  63. [2015-03-18 22:15:50]* Cambiance offers the bottle
  64. [2015-03-18 22:16:24]* Backlash stares down Cambiance in disbelief. "Be careful with that stuff, it'll mess you up..." Even so, she takes the bottle and scans the room. "Is the punch set up yet?"
  65. [2015-03-18 22:16:53]<Cambiance> "Not yet. Swift and I were... discussing things. Important things."
  66. [2015-03-18 22:17:31]<Backlash> "Ooh, like what? Can I help?"
  67. [2015-03-18 22:17:53]* Cambiance gestures to the booze. "We need to spike the punch."
  68. [2015-03-18 22:18:12]* Swift_Hurddle takes the bottle and has a sipp, eyes going cross for a moment, "Important things, like if we have enough punch so we can make an adult ponies only bowl"
  69. [2015-03-18 22:18:26]<Backlash> "...All of it? What if there are foals here? Yeah."
  70. [2015-03-18 22:19:15]* Cambiance nods. "For the foals. Sounds good. I imagine most teens would find the adults-only bowl more desirable though... But got it! Lessgo."
  71. [2015-03-18 22:19:46]<Backlash> "What if somepony here's pregnant! That's not good for babies, y'know!"
  72. [2015-03-18 22:20:10]* Backlash obviously looks very concerned, but she knows better than to make a scene.
  73. [2015-03-18 22:20:50]<Cambiance> "... Anyone have some paper and a sharpie? Let's just label it."
  74. [2015-03-18 22:21:46]* Backlash smiles, satisfied. "Punch, an' 'special punch.'"
  75. [2015-03-18 22:22:26]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Woop woop, adult punch!"

  77. [2015-03-18 22:26:59]* Swift_Hurddle helps Camiance find art stuff to label the drinks, "Ok, so one is Punch and the other is labeled what? Adult punch?"

  79. [2015-03-18 22:27:38]* Cambiance nods. "Sounds good. Should deter those who need to be."
  80. [2015-03-18 22:29:00]<Backlash> "How'd you end up with that stuff? I wish I'd thought to pick something up on my way out of the bookstore..."
  81. [2015-03-18 22:29:38]* Swift_Hurddle shrugs as he dishes out a second bowl, "No idea, Cambaince is being tight lipped about it"
  82. [2015-03-18 22:30:45]* Cambiance shrugs. "Who are we to question good fortune?"
  83. [2015-03-18 22:32:41]<Backlash> "Uh-huh... good fortune." She levels a conspiratory glance at Cambiance, but drops the subject. "So, what's there I can do for you guys?"
  84. [2015-03-18 22:33:15]<Cambiance> "You can help set up the punch, and I guess we can just... lay out the hard ciders on their own?"
  85. [2015-03-18 22:33:45]* Swift_Hurddle takes another sip, "Um... humm, well you could enjoy yourself? otherwise there are ponies to talk to and stuff to work on to get this set up. Dont party to hard though you have that job tommorow, the important one"
  86. [2015-03-18 22:35:32]* Backlash grins and nods. "Ooh, yeah, you're right. I won't forget, promise." She winks at Swift. "I'll probably jus' hover around... I'm not good at parties, heh."
  87. [2015-03-18 22:36:32]* Cambiance blinks in confusion. "'Important job'? Oh Celestia, are you two... DATING?"
  88. [2015-03-18 22:37:10]* Swift_Hurddle blinks before throwing a hoof over Backlashes neck, "She knows!"
  89. [2015-03-18 22:37:56]<Backlash> "WHAT" She stares at Cambiance, then stares at Swift_Hurddle.
  90. [2015-03-18 22:37:59]<Backlash> "WHAT"
  91. [2015-03-18 22:38:50]* Cambiance glances furtively. "Or maybe you're not dating. Perhaps you two are just seeking... comfort from the harsh realities of the world now?"
  92. [2015-03-18 22:39:36]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, trying not to burst into laughter, "Then you understand how imporatant it is to us! now we can tell the world backlash!"
  93. [2015-03-18 22:41:21]* Backlash turns extremely red, so red that it's actually visible under her coat. "I- I'm not- we're..."
  94. [2015-03-18 22:42:25]* Swift_Hurddle finaly laughs and pulls away from Backlash, waving it off he smiles brightly, "OK ok ok no its nothing like that, I was just having some fun. Backlash actually is tyring out for the prisons squad or something like that, scavanging for stuff and whatnot. its really cool"
  95. [2015-03-18 22:43:03]<Cambiance> "Oh... well, that's interesting. Not as scandalous, but interesting."
  96. [2015-03-18 22:43:14]* Backlash hides beneath her mane. "Y-yeah. Interesting."

[2015-03-18 22:45:45]* Swift_Hurddle takes another sip of booz, "well the night is young, penty of time for scandle.... speaking of which I talked to Mint Backlash, about that topic from yesterday. She had some things to say but not much, maybe you could talk to her about it? I didnt mention your name as requested"
  98. [2015-03-18 22:48:59]<Backlash> "Oh, okay. Uh, Cambiance, what do you think about Miss Star?"
  99. [2015-03-18 22:49:48]<Cambiance> "I admire her. She's... well, mared up a lot in this whole mess."
  100. [2015-03-18 22:51:01]<Backlash> "Mared up?" Backlash doesn't quite understand the phrase.
  101. [2015-03-18 22:53:45]<Cambiance> "She just... really rose up to everything. As a teacher, she was whatever, but now... She's done some really impressive things."
  102. [2015-03-18 22:57:43]<Cambiance> "So... that thing tomorrow. What is it?"
  103. [2015-03-18 22:58:04]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "yes tell us about it"
  104. [2015-03-18 22:59:00]<Backlash> "Huh. Yeah, guess you could say that... Oh, the mission?" She savors the word. "Well, I'm gonna be exploring the condemned wings of the prison to find stuff. I don't know exactly what yet, but the commissioner told me there's definitely sick ponies back there."
  105. [2015-03-18 23:00:34]* Cambiance gets a twinkle in her eye. "Can anyone volunteer?"
  106. [2015-03-18 23:00:48]* Swift_Hurddle seems shocked, "what, like there are those same dead things outside in here?"
  107. [2015-03-18 23:02:38]* Backlash nods gravely. "Not -in here-, but locked up. I'm gonna be goin' back there. Cam, I dunno... why? I mean, I got the mission by asking the commissioner."
  108. [2015-03-18 23:03:14]* Swift_Hurddle frowns, "your thinking about going Cambiance?"
  109. [2015-03-18 23:04:09]* Cambiance mulls the thought. "I mean... I kinda want to do something, you now? I mean, this party is fun and cool, but... It sounds... fun. In a way/"
  110. [2015-03-18 23:05:15]* Backlash smiles uncertainly. "I know whatcha mean, but... are you sure? It's gonna be REALLY dangerous, an' I ain't planning on going in hot."
  111. [2015-03-18 23:05:42]* Swift_Hurddle listens for her responce
  112. [2015-03-18 23:06:55]* Cambiance nods. "Yes. It sounds like a challenge. And I'm totally up for that now."
  113. [2015-03-18 23:10:08]* Swift_Hurddle starts mixing the drink with the other drinks, "Ya... so anyway that is tommorow why dont we drink up?" he offers a cup to Cambiace
  114. [2015-03-18 23:10:30]* Cambiance takes it and grins. "Sounds like a plan."
  115. [2015-03-18 23:10:49]<Backlash> "I mean, if you're sure..." Backlash looks her over with the concerned look of a protective mother. "If you're sure, you should ask the commissioner. Jus' don't drink too much tonight, okay?"
  116. [2015-03-18 23:11:55]* Swift_Hurddle sips at his own cup
  117. [2015-03-18 23:12:00]* Cambiance nods. "Don't worry. I've drunk before. ... A little."
  118. [2015-03-18 23:12:06]* Swift_Hurddle puts up the note
  119. [2015-03-18 23:14:26]<EchoesOfDeath> The crowd chatters, awaiting for the music to start
  120. [2015-03-18 23:15:11]* Cambiance slams down her drink. "AHH. Well, looks like the crowds waiting. Let's get this going!"
  121. [2015-03-18 23:16:26]* Cambiance walks to the music equipment.
  122. [2015-03-18 23:17:37]* Swift_Hurddle looks to Backlash, "So looks like things are about to kick off, oh and what Mint said to me was that she thought she could be a bit shamless... still not sure what that is suppose to mean, or what you were seeing but I just wanted to let you know. Maybe you could tell me more?"
  123. [2015-03-18 23:19:45]* Backlash nods. "No, I understand. It's kinda like what I was sayin', but... different. All that business with the griffon, if you know what I'm talkin' about. Hey, thanks for talkin' to Perch about it... d'you know if she's here? I might duck out an' try to see how she is."
  124. [2015-03-18 23:20:28]<Cambiance> /me clears her throat before belting out. "PONIES!! ARE YOU READY TO PARTY?!"
  125. [2015-03-18 23:21:17]<EchoesOfDeath> "YEEAH!!" The crowd shouts.
  126. [2015-03-18 23:21:47]* Cambiance sloppily sets up the track. "THEN LETS KICK IT OFF!"
  127. [2015-03-18 23:21:53]* Swift_Hurddle stomps his hooves as Camiance starts and cheers, "Not sure if she is around here, but you can look, sometime though you will have to tell me what is going on with star... I have trusted her with my life for a while now and i would like to know"
  128. [2015-03-18 23:23:03]* Backlash nods and sneaks off toward the side of the room. "Sure." She waves as the party starts up around her.
  129. [2015-03-18 23:24:43]<EchoesOfDeath> Swift_Hurddle didn't see Perch Mint entering the lounge for the party earlier.
  130. [2015-03-18 23:25:54]* Swift_Hurddle gets hyped with the rest of the crowd
  131. [2015-03-18 23:26:15]<Cambiance> "WOOO!! YOU LIKE THAT, PONIES!?"
  132. [2015-03-18 23:26:19]<EchoesOfDeath> Rosebee and Raven enter the lounge as the music starts. Both of them seem a little awkward.
  133. [2015-03-18 23:26:28]* Swift_Hurddle parties, "Woooohooooo!"
  134. [2015-03-18 23:28:56]* Cambiance spots the fillies. "Remember to grab a dance partner everypony!"
  135. [2015-03-18 23:29:56]<EchoesOfDeath> "YEEEEAAH!!" The crowd shouts and cheers. They jump up and down and dance. The unicorns among them flash their horns like club lights.
  136. [2015-03-18 23:29:57]* Swift_Hurddle looks around and starts searching for Backlash
  137. [2015-03-18 23:31:27]<EchoesOfDeath> Rosebee gets into the rhythm of the music, a little stiffly, but smiles to Raven to join in.
  138. [2015-03-18 23:32:21]* Backlash 's vivid blue mane is easily visible on the edges of the room. She seems to be watching the dancers and resting against the wall, smiling softly.
  139. [2015-03-18 23:33:20]* Swift_Hurddle trots up, "Hey come on, Cambiance is the dj and she says find a dance partner and I want to dance!"
  140. [2015-03-18 23:33:52]<Cambiance> "WHOOO! That's what I'm talking about, ponies! LET'S GET THIS PARTY GOING!"
  141. [2015-03-18 23:35:18]* Backlash looks at Swift blankly. "What? Oh, I can't dance!" She smiles wistfully, but seems engaged.
  142. [2015-03-18 23:36:10]* Swift_Hurddle looks non plussed by the assertion as he waves a hoof at the makeshift dancefloor, "Dose it look like everyone knows how to dance out there?"
  143. [2015-03-18 23:37:10]* Backlash cracks a grin and rolls her eyes, holding out a hoof for Swift to lead. "Fine, fine."
  144. [2015-03-18 23:37:47]* Cambiance switches tracks
  145. [2015-03-18 23:38:00]* Swift_Hurddle leads her to the dancefloor and waits for the mustic to start again
  146. [2015-03-18 23:38:43]<EchoesOfDeath> The ponies move and shake to the beat. The grey unicorn and the pink pegasus now dance together, full of energy. A few are enjoying the punch, surprised by the special extra.
  147. [2015-03-18 23:39:05]* Swift_Hurddle dances with Backlash
  148. [2015-03-18 23:39:35]* Cambiance sneaks off to quickly grab another drink
  149. [2015-03-18 23:40:39]* Backlash shrinks away from the ponies all around her, but as she follows Swift's lead - shamelessly stealing a few of his dance moves, too - she slowly seems to forget about everyone around her and just enjoy the mood. This seems to include forgetting about Swift himself, to some extent...
  150. [2015-03-18 23:41:22]* Cambiance returns to her post with a nice and strong drink. "So, HOW'S IT GOING EVERYPONY?"
  151. [2015-03-18 23:41:39]* Swift_Hurddle is ok with this and cheers when Cambiance returns with the rest of the crowd
  152. [2015-03-18 23:42:14]<EchoesOfDeath> "AWESOME!" She hears one closer pony shouting. The other cheer, all enjoying themselves.
  153. [2015-03-18 23:42:34]* Cambiance grins. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!!"
  154. [2015-03-18 23:42:48]* Backlash cheers, too distracted to decide one thing to say.
  155. [2015-03-18 23:43:31]<EchoesOfDeath> The ponies cheer loudly, echoing through all the facility!
  156. [2015-03-18 23:43:31]* Swift_Hurddle "Woooooo! Ya!"
  157. [2015-03-18 23:44:26]<Cambiance> "YEAH. That's what I'm talking about!!!"
  158. [2015-03-18 23:46:28]<EchoesOfDeath> Rosebee smiles to Raven who gets the idea of dancing pretty well, in a somewhat restrained way, but she still tries to get her to loosen up more. Rosebee dances more wildly shaking her head and swinging her flank.
  159. [2015-03-18 23:46:53]* Cambiance swithces track
  160. [2015-03-18 23:47:36]* Swift_Hurddle nods towards the two mares, pointing it out to Backlash, "Cute right?"
  161. [2015-03-18 23:48:45]* Backlash opens her eyes and looks at Swift. Her rhythm seems to break, and she stops dancing. "H-huh?"
  162. [2015-03-18 23:49:10]* Swift_Hurddle nods again towards Raven and Rosebee, "Those two"
  163. [2015-03-18 23:51:57]<Backlash> "Oh. Heh. Yeah." She smiles and stops dancing, looking very out of place. "Hey, I'm gonna go... thanks for the dance."
  164. [2015-03-18 23:52:05]* Cambiance sees the cute couple and grins. "You know everypony, a party can be a great place to get to know your friends... better, if you know what I mean."
  165. [2015-03-18 23:52:33]* Cambiance waggles eyebrows.
  166. [2015-03-18 23:53:44]* Backlash blushes at Cambiance's suggestion, but grins and moves to leave.
  167. [2015-03-18 23:54:12]* Swift_Hurddle waves to Backlash, "Well if you have to go you have to go, but it was fun danceing with you! you were better than you think"
  168. [2015-03-18 23:55:15]* Backlash waves back and disappears through the crowd.
  169. [2015-03-18 23:56:22]<EchoesOfDeath> Rosebee doesn't seem to notice the attention turning to her. Raven blushes but smiles.
