[2014-02-22 20:16:41] <CrystalDM> 03Meetings done with, the group continues onward toward dinner. However, nothing ever stable in the Wasteland... who knows what has changed?
[2014-02-22 20:18:15] * Emerald_Blitz continues shepherding her friends toward dinner. "Not a moment of rest for the wicked, eh?" she jokes to Clue and Tallie. "No one said this was going to be easy, but at least we're all on the same page now..."
[2014-02-22 20:20:13] * Tallie snorts. "Gurl, you've only seen my table of contents."
[2014-02-22 20:20:58] * Clue keep her head down. "Please... let's move away from that subject..."
[2014-02-22 20:21:36] <Emerald_Blitz> "We'll get back to it eventually, but I think you're right for now," Emerald says. "Onward to supper. I hope they have something with carrots. I've been missing carrots for a while." The alicorn folds her wings to her back.
[2014-02-22 20:22:49] * Tallie ruffles her feathers, going a bit poofy. "Blech. Carrots."
[2014-02-22 20:23:28] * Clue blinks. "Umm... Em... were you just at the mechanics? I think you might of got some oil on your flank..." Clue pulls out a hanky and rubs Emerald_Blitz plot with her TK, her own face growing red.
[2014-02-22 20:23:31] * Militus splits off from the group, quietly heading for the lounge. Thanks to Kivuli's tour earlier, he actually knows where he's going.
[2014-02-22 20:24:35] * Emerald_Blitz looks behind her. "No, I was in Medical earlier, but I disinfected and cleaned myself afterward... there shouldn't be any..." She trails off as she lifts the edge of the Napolitan coat and stares at her own flank. "Um. Well." The alicorn seems to be at a loss for words.
[2014-02-22 20:25:12] <CrystalDM> 03Indeed, adorning Emerald_Blitz's flank appears to be a cutie mark. 'Appears' being the right word?
[2014-02-22 20:25:53] * Clue rubs harder. "It's a weird slotch of something..." She rubs even harder as she scrunches her face in effort.
[2014-02-22 20:26:53] * Tallie looks down at Emerald's buttstamp. "Maybe its a hole." she states. "Or an oil spill."
[2014-02-22 20:27:48] * Emerald_Blitz looks a little bit pale, despite her purple coat. "It's a Rare Shack inkblot," she says distantly. "Named after its creator... a standard tool in the field of psychology. Used to judge a patient's current state of mind and associations." Emerald closes her eyes for a moment, then keeps walking.

[2014-02-22 20:29:02] * Clue shakes her head. "Is it contagious? Why's it on your flank?..."
[2014-02-22 20:29:13] <Tallie> "Kinda looks like an angry butterfly with a... spaceship in the middle. Kinda serene..."
[2014-02-22 20:29:23] <Asami> looks like you have...or had...a big huge butterfly on yer rump that got itself smished in a book
[2014-02-22 20:30:30] * Emerald_Blitz clomps a hoof to her face. "It's whatever the patient sees in it, and is used to judge exactly that..." she says and keeps walking. "It's probably a cutie mark," she says through gritted teeth.
[2014-02-22 20:31:03] <Tallie> "So I'm destined to become a space-griffin? Neat."
[2014-02-22 20:31:29] <Clue> "Ohhhhhhhh~" Clue blinks but follows. "...that makes more sense..."
[2014-02-22 20:31:46] <Asami> not to be a judge here or anything Emmy but uhh...aint you getting one a lil 'late' in life?
[2014-02-22 20:32:22] <Emerald_Blitz> "I had one before," Emerald says. "It's not the same. It's not the same at all." She enters the dining hall and gets in line for food, still looking a little off-kilter.
[2014-02-22 20:33:52] * Clue shakes her head with a frown. "Maybe this is a better one?... one that fits you now..."
[2014-02-22 20:34:36] <CrystalDM> 03The lounge has a stallion working at the bar and a griffin playing piano. A mare is singing about the loneliness of the Wastes, and at a booth is Bolt, a griffiness with bright red plumage, and a jenny. An open bottle of Scotch is on the table, and Bolt waves to Militus as he walks in.
[2014-02-22 20:35:10] * Militus smiles and takes a seat at the booth.
[2014-02-22 20:36:14] * Emerald_Blitz smiles, but it has a chill to it and doesn't look real. "It fit me before. It fit who I was. And I suppose I'm never getting it back, so I may as well not dwell on it," she says. "On the bright side, if someone is ogling my flanks, I suppose I'll have a chance to read their state of mind by what they see..."
[2014-02-22 20:36:46] <CrystalDM> 03Entering into the mess hall the group is assaulted with the smells of roasted pork, vegetables, and apple pie! Indeed, pork roasts have been produced, the juices offered as flavoring for sauteed potatoes and carrots. The apple pie has some mint ice cream to go with it.
[2014-02-22 20:37:58] * Tallie oogles the pie. "I'm having that. All of it. All for me."
[2014-02-22 20:38:52] * Emerald_Blitz shakes her head and recovers herself a little. "Mind that tendency, Tallie," she reminds the griffon. "But I suppose it wouldn't hurt to sample the lot."
[2014-02-22 20:39:30] * Tallie shrugs. "I have a healthy habit. So sue me."
[2014-02-22 20:41:13] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt smiles and gestures to the griffiness. "This is Feuer, she works with the Scribes of the Sword." The griffiness nods and Bolt turns to the jenny. "This is Sally. She's works in the agricultural division." The jenny nods to Militus as well. "And... girls, this is Militus."
[2014-02-22 20:41:43] <Emerald_Blitz> "I'm a doctor, not a lawyer," Emerald says, acquiring carrots and a slice of pork, and a side of pie and ice cream, studiously avoiding the potatoes. She then goes to sit down on one of the couches instead of at the tables.
[2014-02-22 20:42:28] <CrystalDM> 03There are several couches available, each with a tray that can be brought up to hold food. The cafeteria is empty right now... the group appears to have come in right before the shift change.
[2014-02-22 20:42:40] * Militus smiles and inclines his head. "Good evening, ladies. I am pleased to make your acquiantances."
[2014-02-22 20:42:41] * Tallie gras as much food as she can pile onto the plate, then piles another one with pie and ice cream. She finds a secluded table and chows down.
[2014-02-22 20:43:13] <Clue> "It doesn't have to be law... perhaps it... talking to ponies? Figuring out what they think..." Clue adds.
[2014-02-22 20:44:10] <CrystalDM> 03Feuer pours out a shot of scotch for Militus. "So, Bolt here told us you helped her with her problem?"
[2014-02-22 20:44:27] * Emerald_Blitz lies down on the couch. "Given what just happened, I'm not terribly surprised," she says, and finally manages a weak but genuine smile to Clue. "I suppose I have you to thank for that too. It's certainly better than nothing." She pulls up the tray and eats a few slices of carrot gingerly.
[2014-02-22 20:47:04] * Tallie nom nom noms loudly.
[2014-02-22 20:47:07] * Clue nods. She heads off and gathers some food and eats it as much as she needs quietly.
[2014-02-22 20:47:09] * Militus shrugs. "I did what I could. Now I can only hope it works out." He takes the shotglass and empties it. He puts it back down with a contented smile. "Mmm, that is good. What kind is it?"
[2014-02-22 20:50:10] * Tallie practically drowns herself in pie and icecream.
[2014-02-22 20:50:55] <CrystalDM> 03The griffiness laughs heartily. "Good to hear she's got a real stallion to roll with, not like that idiot adventurer that came through a few weeks back." Bolt blushes slightly and Sally frowns. "Feuer! Not in public!" Sally pours herself and Militus another shot. "Its a griffin variety... a 20-year old Grouse. Feuer suggested it; we make it here."
[2014-02-22 20:50:56] <Emerald_Blitz> As Emerald finishes up her plate in relative silence, she sighs. With her last spoonful of flaky crust, she turns back to Clue. "I don't believe I ever heard where you were from, Clue," she says. "Did you live your whole life in the town I met you in, or did you come from somewhere else?"
[2014-02-22 20:52:03] * Clue nods. "Yeah... born and raised..."
[2014-02-22 20:52:20] * Militus drinks the new shot as well. "Oh, really? I think I heard of that adventurer. What exactly happened to him again?" He smiles, mirth dancing in his eyes.
[2014-02-22 20:52:35] * Tallie lets out an almighty belch. She slumps down on the border of a food coma.
[2014-02-22 20:53:11] * Emerald_Blitz nods, and dabs a corner of her mouth with a napkin. "You didn't introduce me to your family there, then," she says. "Are they still...?"
[2014-02-22 20:54:42] * Clue tilts her head. "Are they?... Alive? Oh yes... they live there too... Just my mom and dad... Only child..." She shrugs. "I only get visited by them on my birthday really..." She slumps a bit.
[2014-02-22 20:55:20] * Emerald_Blitz scoots a little closer on the couch. "A bit of a strained relationship?" she asks softly.
[2014-02-22 20:55:28] * Asami just eats her own dinner quietly while listening to the conversation around her
[2014-02-22 20:56:16] <CrystalDM> 03Sally nods to Militus. "Not sure... he left as soon as he got out of the hospital. Mentioned something about heading down to CC to get something fixed." Feuer growls and pours herself a shot. "Hope it was himself." Bolt blushes bright red. "Feuer!" The outraged exclamation is tinged with more than a little bit of mirth.
[2014-02-22 20:57:36] * Clue shakes her head. "Not that I know of... they must... they probably have better things to do..."
[2014-02-22 20:57:43] * Militus laughs heartily. "Oh, he was that bad, was he?"
[2014-02-22 20:58:36] * Emerald_Blitz looks at Clue quizzically. "Did you ever go over to visit? Or were you waiting for an invitation?" she asks. "They might very well feel like you've distanced yourself from them, not knowing why."
[2014-02-22 20:58:51] <Asami> Hey Miss Bolt? I got an offer that you may just want to take me up on...if yer interested of course
[2014-02-22 20:58:55] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt giggles. "Fainted after he saw the first toy..." The three mares giggle throatily at it, each downing a shot in turn.
[2014-02-22 20:59:12] <Asami> (nvm thought y'all was gettin food)
[2014-02-22 20:59:51] <Clue> "I... well... I thought if they wanted to see me, they'd come see me..." Clue explains, her ears drooping.
[2014-02-22 21:00:26] * Militus leans in conspiratorially. "Which was the first one you pulled out that time?" he asks with a devilish grin.
[2014-02-22 21:01:19] <Emerald_Blitz> "And you didn't think they might want a visit from their adorable daughter?" Emerald brushes Clue's mane out of her face. "Do you really have such a low opinion of yourself, to think that others regard you as low as you do yourself?" The alicorn smiles. "Because I can guarantee, I think you're a great deal more special than that."
[2014-02-22 21:02:10] <Clue> "I... I didn't want to bother them..." She answers.
[2014-02-22 21:02:33] * Asami just eats her dinner quietly then...ho humm
[2014-02-22 21:04:01] * Emerald_Blitz smiles warmly and shakes her head. "I wager you a hundred caps that they'd be overjoyed to get a visit, and are wondering why you were ignoring them," she says with a chuckle. "That settles it. First thing when we get back to town after settling all this messenger business, I'm taking you to see them."
[2014-02-22 21:05:19] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt blushes. "Oh... it was just a paddle..." Feuer shakes her head. "Never could be sure why you were into that stuff, Bolt." Sally looks between the two ladies. "Girls, can't we save this for somewhere private? This is a very public place..." The jenny blushes slightly.
[2014-02-22 21:05:51] * Clue scrunches her face. "Really?... Shouldn't we warn the communities first?..."
[2014-02-22 21:07:03] <Emerald_Blitz> "That's what I mean," Emerald says. "Once we warn the communities, we'll head back there and let your mother scold you for estranging yourself for no reason." She turns to Asami. "And I'll have to tell YOUR father what a stellar businessdragon you're becoming."
[2014-02-22 21:07:15] * Militus nods. "Yes, of course. Where are my manners, I forget how these things are in pony society."
[2014-02-22 21:08:04] <CrystalDM> 03Sally looks at Militus with shock on her face. "You mean... they discuss things like this..."
[2014-02-22 21:08:25] * Asami chuckles and nods
[2014-02-22 21:09:40] * Tallie belches again, and scratches her big ol' tummy, still slumped in her seat.
[2014-02-22 21:09:50] * Militus looks at Sally. "Among zebras? To an extent, yes." He grins at Bolt knowingly. "Although our dear friend Bolt here would still be beyond the pale for most." He then shrugs. "It's simply that sex is not such a taboo topic."
[2014-02-22 21:10:44] <Clue> "Oh" Clue resumes her eating, most of her posture returning to it's emotionless self.
[2014-02-22 21:13:58] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt and Sally both blush bright red, while Feuer gives a hearty chuckle. "Well then, drinks for Militus! The savior of Bolt's -" The griffiness releases a whoosh of air as both Sally and Bolt jerk a forelimb toward the griffiness.
[2014-02-22 21:15:40] * Militus laughs again. "I'll drink to that even if you don't finish. Pour me another." He offers his glass.
[2014-02-22 21:18:38] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt obliges the stallion, and the three mares and the stallion drink off into the night.
[2014-02-22 21:21:18] <CrystalDM> 03Next morning rolls around with edibles consumed and the pleasant dreams that result from sleeping in a closed Stable.
[2014-02-22 21:23:53] * Clue cuddles with Feather Fall still asleep having slept with her once again. Not the sex slept. Just.. slept slept.
[2014-02-22 21:24:14] * Tallie is sleeping... somewhere. Where is she?
[2014-02-22 21:24:52] * Emerald_Blitz sleeps in the atrium again, restlessly. Hard to get to sleep when your idea of who you are has changed drastically more than once in less than two weeks.
[2014-02-22 21:26:36] * Emerald_Blitz rises and stretches her wings out, shaking the remnants of sleep from her head before heading off to get a quick shower, this time the real showers. Decontamination had inadequate temperature control.
[2014-02-22 21:29:34] <CrystalDM> 03It is 8 AM, an hour before dawn as Emerald_Blitz rouses herself.
[2014-02-22 21:29:40] * Asami is going to be taking advantage of a nice comfy stable...and will be sleeping in until woken by somepony else
[2014-02-22 21:30:31] * Emerald_Blitz almost walks into the males shower on accident, but checks herself before she does, and enters the other instead, nosing inside first to avoid any confrontations.
[2014-02-22 21:31:57] * Militus groans as he wakes up. Yep. That's a hangover. He rolls over in bed, wincing at his soreness. Hopefully Bolt is doing better and can offer help.
[2014-02-22 21:34:19] <CrystalDM> 03There are a couple of mares in the locker rooms that make up the showers... though they aren't actually in the showers. They each are cleaning a prosthetic limb with a toothbrush.
[2014-02-22 21:36:03] * Emerald_Blitz deposits her coat and saddlebags in the corner, a little self-consciously, and ducks into one of the showers and closes the door, looking for as much hot water as she can get at short notice.
[2014-02-22 21:37:29] <CrystalDM> 03Militus finds Bolt is already up and about, a tall glass of water and a pair of aspirin sitting on a nightstand near Militus. "Hey, that griffin booze has a nasty kick. You ok?"
[2014-02-22 21:37:45] * Tallie is hiding somewhere.
[2014-02-22 21:39:11] * Militus shakes his head. He quickly downs the aspririn and the water and then lies as still as he can. "No, I have the usual bad hangover symptoms. What exactly did we do last night?"
[2014-02-22 21:40:29] <CrystalDM> 03Got to love that Stable-Tec technology. Really easy to get a lot of hot water really fast.
[2014-02-22 21:41:39] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt laughs and shakes her head. "No... we got through the door and you fell over. When I say nasty... I mean it."
[2014-02-22 21:42:06] * Militus groans. "Don't I know it. How much did I have?"
[2014-02-22 21:42:07] * Emerald_Blitz lets the hot water beat down on her, and self-consciously scrubs at the new cutie mark. Maybe it is oil after all... nope. Still there. What a mixed up world this is... The alicorn sighs and hangs her head, letting the steam soak through her and her brain adjust to being awake.
[2014-02-22 21:44:25] <CrystalDM> 03The mare thinks for a moment. "Uhm... six? Eight shots?"
[2014-02-22 21:45:07] <Militus> "And how many is usually recommended for consumption?"
[2014-02-22 21:47:35] <CrystalDM> 03"Three at most... though some swear by the number zero."
[2014-02-22 21:47:59] * Militus chuckles and then winces. "How many did you manage?"
[2014-02-22 21:50:21] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt nods. "I only had two... anymore, and I get a little bit out there." She giggles, walking over and kissing the stallion. "Its 8:15 AM. I got to get to work... try not to be in too much pain?"
[2014-02-22 21:51:31] <Militus> "One more question...how embarassed should I be over what I said or did while drunk?"
[2014-02-22 21:51:38] * Emerald_Blitz finally finishes scalding herself, turns off the water and begins making herself presentable. It's time to go see Overmare Dotted Line, or whoever is in charge of this mystery project. She looks at herself in the mirror, away from the other two mares. It's still like looking at a stranger.
[2014-02-22 21:53:38] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt giggles again. "Oh... you sang a lovely little tune about how you were a 'Stallion in Shining Armor' and 'Were to save all the damsels in distress'. I thought it was adorable."
[2014-02-22 21:54:06] * Militus muses. "Hmm. And how many ponies saw this?"
[2014-02-22 21:54:48] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt thinks for a moment. "Uh... just one. Kivuli, I think? Oh! And Swift Strike!"
[2014-02-22 21:56:58] * Emerald_Blitz combs her hair, clips the edges of her hooves, curries her coat, then dons her coat and hat again. There. That helps, a little. She turns with a swish of her tail and follows signs toward the Overmare's office.
[2014-02-22 21:57:54] * Militus smiles. "Oh good, only friends. Their unending teasing will be easier to bear." He suddenly looks at the clock and curses under his breath. "...And I was supposed to meet Swift this morning. Next time, make sure I stay sober. I can abide a hangover, but not missing a sparring session."
[2014-02-22 21:59:32] <CrystalDM> 03Bolt smiles and looks up at the clock; it reads 8:20 AM. "Oh! I should go! Bye!" The mare darts out the door, her engineer's outfit mostly on.
[2014-02-22 22:01:23] * Emerald_Blitz finally arrives at where the lit signs have led her to, and knocks on the door.
[2014-02-22 22:02:23] * Militus rolls out of bed once his head feels like it'll stay in one piece and heads for the mess hall.
[2014-02-22 22:05:26] <CrystalDM> 03The door stays silent for a moment before the alabaster mare with the lavender mane opens the door. "Excuse me... did you have an appointment?"
[2014-02-22 22:06:12] * Militus looks for eggs and coffee upon reaching the mess hall.
[2014-02-22 22:06:24] * Emerald_Blitz blinks. No, but there's no time to make one. "Project Gemini," Emerald blurts. "No I don't have an appointment. But should I make one and come back, or do you have time now?"
[2014-02-22 22:09:32] <CrystalDM> 03They aren't serving coffee, but they do have some lovely tea to go with the bacon and eggs.
[2014-02-22 22:10:27] * Militus takes some tea to go with his bacon and eggs. Lots of eggs.
[2014-02-22 22:11:21] <CrystalDM> 03The Overmare looks up at Emerald_Blitz with shock and shakes her head. "Normally yes... but when I got the alert, I didn't think it was a Princess who was digging around about it. No, come in. I have a few minutes."
[2014-02-22 22:14:45] * Emerald_Blitz nods and steps inside the office. "I don't officially carry the title," Emerald says, "though I'm sure you know that. It just seems your charges have taken to calling me that. Now, about this Project Gemini." She produces the printout and offers it to the Overmare. "I would like to know what this project entails, because I believe its results pose a clear and present danger to the population...

[2014-02-22 22:15:10] * Militus sits down and eats his breakfast, going back for seconds on the eggs. Afterwords he heads off to the stallion's showers.
[2014-02-22 22:19:28] <CrystalDM> 03The Overmare takes a seat, gesturing to a couch for Emerald to sit on. "Well... Project Gemini was a cloning program we thought up. A way to protect our citizens... make it so they didn't have to have anyone in the army anymore. No more Wartime Stress Disorder... great idea. Ethics committee shot it down."
[2014-02-22 22:20:17] * Militus takes a nice, relaxing shower and then heads off to find Swift Strike.
[2014-02-22 22:21:27] * Emerald_Blitz grimaces. "I can imagine why. Cloning on that scale brings up a giant pile of issues. Least of which being 'what are the clones' from a moral and legal standpoint," she says, and sits down in front of the Overmare's desk. "I take it 'shot it down' doesn't mean the research was necessarily disposed of properly."

[2014-02-22 22:35:56] * Emerald_Blitz stands up a little proudly. "They always were the cream of the Lunar Army," she says wistfully. "And I don't suppose two hundred years of practice have hurt them at all. So." She folds her papers back up and tucks them in her saddlebag. "First I'd suggest finding how the data was stolen, and second, what are we going to do about it? I'd like to see some of the data, at least so far as for...

[2014-02-22 22:39:54] <CrystalDM> 03The Overmare shrugs. "I've looked over the security code for the Maneframe... designed by Applebloom herself. Its a little odd but..." The mare starts to tap away at the keys to her console.
[2014-02-22 22:41:02] * Emerald_Blitz raises an eyebrow. "But what? I'd wager the data was stolen, not hacked. Someone who had access to the security codes already."
[2014-02-22 22:41:36] * Militus heads to the training rooms first, figuring Swift will probably be there.
[2014-02-22 22:44:47] <CrystalDM> 03The Overmare shakes her head. "That's it. The only way to access the information that is 'locked' by the Ethic's committee is with an Overmare's passkey. As for it being hacked... its happened once, 100 years ago. The protocols were.... rather swift to negate the hacker."
[2014-02-22 22:46:15] <Emerald_Blitz> "Swift enough that he couldn't have gotten any data, or do you think he may have gotten a partial of the file?" Emerald asks. "Forgive me, my training was more medical science than computer science, but if he only got part of it, shouldn't it be worthless?"

[2014-02-22 22:50:22] * Emerald_Blitz nods. "Then we still have someone with access to the data who has either shared it, or it was stolen by someone else who knew the codes," she says. "Those are the only options I see."

[2014-02-22 22:52:11] * Emerald_Blitz adjusts her wings. "What other options are there, Overmare? You need to either plug that data leak or delete that data. I would say that it would be harmful in the wrong hooves, but I don't think I exactly need to provide additional evidence of that, now, do I?"
