WOW what a week... Sort of like Christmas 08, for those that were around when all the crap was going on around us. But they say only the strong survive, and trust me, my team is no bunch of wimps. In the last twelve months we have stormed our way through half a dozen overly emotional developers, numerous childish guilds causing crap on their way out the door, and most recently, attacks from a dramatic mendacious Kiwi and a vainglorious demagogue from Baku. Whether they were direct attacks or simply showing them showing their e-penis doesn’t matters at this point. They are gone, and good riddance. They don’t realize the pure pleasure that is non-confrontational game play. Neverendless started out as a friends and family environment, which has grown to be an amazing place today. The people who have recently left are mere puppets who drank the Kool-Aid that Kaer/Heydar created in order to split the universe into two pieces. We are committed to NOT attack these little people or their tiny server that uses false numbers and stolen scripts to make themselves look as big as we are.

Many of you have heard rumors and flat-out lies from people on this server and also on that lava land playground. I think it’s time that I directly address the speculation and innuendo that appears to be running rampant these days.
1. Kaer did not leave Neverendless due to managerial differences. I understand that’s what he tells people today, but the reason he gave me on the day he left is completely different. He said that he longed for less drama, and a simpler, more automated system. He was going to start a “local Russian server” with a small player base. Running Neverendless, he said, had become unhealthy for him; he was growing into his chair, spending endless hours doing thankless work for people who couldn’t care less what he did, because if you blink at them the wrong way, they leave anyhow.

Response: Although there are differences in every story, I believe Kaer basically used me and my base in private servers to “learn the ropes”. When he felt that he was ready, he created a typical emotional response of cutting the head off the chicken, and dissolved any sort of relationship with that person. In the last six months, he did this to nearly every member of the senior staff but me. There were times when, "Those EMO kids aren’t going to tell me what I can do" was his angry motto. I accepted the role of peacemaker and diplomatically attempted to ease the struggles of day-to-day issues. For taking this role, I was told that my "diplomatic brainwashing” will not work on him, because he is “too strong-minded". At one time or another, he wanted to fire nearly everyone on staff - including but not limited to Bress (his “online lover”), Tianna, Blood, Tera, Happy, Stewart, Beepbeep (ROFL! he went with Kaer), Hersheys, or "Server Administrator" ( his personal friend), and a lot of lower level staff. Understand, I know that I am no innocent – I have fired people for silly things as well, but that’s for another time.

Beepbeep has the single worst track record of any person that has been on staff here in 18 months. One week he is busting his butt on scripting and website matters; then the next thirty days, he goes incommunicado because he supposedly had real life situations. So out of the goodness of my heart, we sent him money and equipment on several different occasions, totaling more than $1000. He continued his odd behavior until the end of his stay here, when he talked me into purchasing a different web server for several technical reasons in order to remove lag from the website. This proved to be false, and 12 hours after we started building the new server he went “on walkabout,” as I call it. Then I found out that he went to work for Kaer as he had promised me that he wouldn’t (because "I don't leave a project in the middle," and saying things like "What is Kaer thinking of starting out on his own? That’s foolish,"). Nathan promised this community a 1.1 version of the website that was surely bought and paid for by your donations, and it now appears on the lava kiddy realm. He said "it will be a cold day in hell before they get my scripts" and "That's why I deleted the website, because I made it". It is rather funny to me how Kaer stays out of commenting on any of the silliness in his forums, but that Beepbeep has carte blanche to say whatever he thinks about whoever he wants. Most recently, he attacked Stewart’s good name and his abilities. Then he talked about how we are understaffed with developers as well. This is funny, because they have exactly 1 developer on their project – and all he does is port things from Mangos and Trinity 2 cores, and calls them his own or the ****** core, but I digress. This guy is extremely talented and apparently has a bit of an ego as well. He has told staff that he is mad that we removed his name from the site and that if he had another chance, he would destroy our website.

I really have no explanation as to why the attack on our server happened. I understand the strategy behind it, and yes, it worked to some extent. The facts are simple: Kaer was responsible for supervising the building of this server. He refused to let any regular development staff assist in any way, stating that they are "stupid kids who don't know what they are doing." During this time, the Russian developer named Andrey and Beepbeep were the only people allowed to touch the server in any way, shape or form. Both of these people work for Kaer.

We then discovered two system accounts, the SYS and BIN accounts, that do not have login privileges or root rights – which were somehow edited to allow both login access and root priv. For those of you who don’t speak LINUX, these are service accounts created in the install process to manage functions on the server, just as your windows or mac has similar service accounts that have only the rights needed to do the job. I will give them credit - It was extremely creative to edit these accounts. During this period, our System Administrator was apparently unavailable to assist in the setup of security on the server, and was never able to provide the service of checking the server for such breaches. To this day, Tofig works for Kaer.
The backdoor accounts were used to delete files and corrupt the databases on two separate occasions. The IP used is similar to one used by Beepbeep previously, but in all cases of this sort, no exact evidence was left due to log deletions . When the information came out that Beepbeep had made this attack, Kaer went crazy, screaming and yelling at me on MSN (logs available).

The real problem is that Kaer had only his name on the host account that we share to this day. So what did he do in the middle of us restoring the bin log data that had been corrupted? He told me to see how powerful he is and that I should count my blessings he had left silently because if I wanted a war, he could make it happen. The next thing that happened is he logged into the server account, changed my password and shut off the server in the middle of the restore. Thus he managed to corrupt 4 days’ worth of data and causing the final blow in this saga.

This sort of angry behavior is not unusual for Kaer. He tends to get this way every other month when he is doing his cycle of steroid injections. He attacked two separate servers without my blessing in the last six months out of nothing more than anger. He toyed with Bress like a puppet for months on the server and online till she dumped him (of course it is the other way around from him), and he actually got depressed and went on a two week vacation to get his head right. He fired and locked out Stewart and Happy several times because they didn't do what he wanted. This is an angry man from a culture that believes life is a war to be waged.

I am saddened by the feeling of being used by Kaer and BeepBeep, but realize in many ways that this, as all things Internet, will pass. I enjoyed the times I spent with them, as much as I detest the things they are doing now. But this will be the last and only comments I will make about these subjects. To both Kaer and Beepbeep, I wish them good luck in the future – and don't let the door hit you in the ass. I feel strongly that Neverendless is far better off without the hatred and deceit that you brought to us. I am sure there will be those that call me a liar and say this is all BS. To them I say, ok – but it’s no skin off my nose if you don’t believe me, but why would I make such a ridiculous story up?
