    Marius Bobus Natius was a man favored by the gods and when the young and idealistic man introduced himself to the world by saying he would go out to conquer a land Poseidon would reveal to him. That was the last time civilization saw Marius, as a freak storm pushed his fleet far, far out surrounded by the darkest waters and foulest winds that the depths could throw up from the whirling pools with outstretched tendrils
    Though some were tragically lost and others succumbed to madness acting out their own lives in parodies until light shined on the weary Marius. They discovered an island paradise inhabited by elves; goodly gathering and fishing people blessed with great beauty and long life. The source of their sophistication and lack of squalor is a fountain that has changed them from humans physically and spiritually, outwardly growing pointed ears.  Marius would found his dynasty here with his loyal servants that yet lived through mixing, learning and exchanging philosophies with the natives.
