  1. Here are some textbooks to study Japanese:
  2.
  3. https://mega.nz/#F!AxZhHDbK!raQGnK1EDVixYCQXbJkdDA - Minna no Nihongo 1-4 with audio files. For the two beginner parts it even has extra stuff. The answer sheets for the texbook are at the very end of the pdf. There are even videos based on the main conversations of the lessons. They are absolute hilarious.
  4. If you download this ignore the next links.
  5.
  6. Here is a link to what I use - https://u.pomf.is/lgguqf.rar (it is in the full torrent)
  7. It includes:
  8. Minna no Nihongo Texbook, Texbook Answers, Translation and Grammatical Notes, Kanji Workbook, Grammar Workbook
  9.
  10. MM1 Listening Comprehension 1 - http://www.mediafire.com/download/untk26u4bj6coh0/MMNI-choukai-CD1.rar
  11. MM1 Listening Comprehension 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/download/k5omff768ta32kf/MNNI-choukai-CD2.rar
  12. MNN1 Audio TextBook (reads some of the texts and stuff) - http://www.mediafire.com/download/oidd86p3jtccl0n/MNN+I+-+textbook+Audio.rar
  13. The listening comprehensions in the big torrent are better arranged. The texbook ones are arranged on mediafire too.
  14.
  15. Here is another link with some stuff, but not as many as the full torrent - http://yuki-nezumi.blogspot.bg/2011/10/minna-no-nihongo-i-ii.html

  18.
  19. Useful Smartphone Apps:
  20. If you don't have a smartphone or don't want to waste your battery download Leapdroid emulator.
  21. AnkiDroid - You can make your own decks of two-sided cards (for example: one side kanji, one side reading and meaning). I recommend making a deck of the kanji of every lesson. Instead of studying with it, which you can do, I use it more as a list of the kanji I have learned so far.
  22. JED - Japanese Dictionary. On the app store is has red icon with a white kanji. You can search by translation, hiragana/katakana, kanji, anything.
  23. Obenkyo - Similar to Anki, but with premade decks (JLPT5-1) you can choose what to study from. Very useful for studying hiragana, katakana, kanji, numbers and even particles. You can test kanji recognition (two types), kanji writing and other things. The search is a little clumsy, but it works.
  24. Japanese Kanji Study - SImilar to Obenkyo, it groups kanji according to their N5-N1 (the tests) levels. It is paid, but you can find it with everything unlocked online. Here is a link for v1.8.16 [Unlocked] - https://my.mixtape.moe/jlyhdc.apk
  25. JVerbs Lite - Simple, works offline and with no ads (a hard combination to find for this). Japanese verb conjunction plus explanations.
  26. FBReader + FBReader PDF plugin for PDF reading on the phone.
  27.
  28. Download both for your computer and smartphone Google Japanese input or some other alternative.
  29.
  30. ---------------------
  31. Here is a way to study by yourself.
  32. Spend a week or two to learn hiragana and katakana. Here are two simple pictures with them:
  33. Hiragana - https://u.pomf.is/hnkwhy.jpg
  34. Katakana - https://u.pomf.is/zljkbu.jpg
  35. "Wo" is read as "o."
  36. You don't actually need too learn wi and we, because reasons. You don't need to be able to write them perfectly from the start. Just learn to at least recognize them properly. You don't have anyone to correct you, so that is important. You can get used to writing them better while practising new sentences and stuff.
  37.
  38. Now you can start learning one lesson per week, or even more if you want to, but I wouldn't recommend doing more than two. Go at your own pace, but practice every day!
  39.
  40. 1. When learning a lesson considering you are doing it alone you will have to start with the Translation and Grammatical Notes book. See the new words. I think this book might actually be missing the translation of some of the kanji. If you have to ask in the thread. You can search for them by writing them here http://kanji.sljfaq.org/ and check the order of writing here http://tangorin.com/kanji/. At this point maybe there is no need to write the words, just read them and get the meanings of the kanji ready. You can practice them a bit later. Read the grammar for the lesson. It has full explanation in English, so no worries.
  41.
  42. 2. Start reading the lessons from the textbook. Read everything loud, do all the exercises. Use the audio files for the listening parts. The lessons are not long, but you might want to do divide them on two, let's say Monday and Wednesday, the rest days for practice. There are no days during which you can rest! Practice every day!
  43.
  44. 3. Now this depends on how much time you want to spend every day learning. After doing half or the whole lesson start practicing writing the kanji and sentences the same day (no need to practice words in hiragana and katakana alone, do them in sentences, it is better anyway) or you can instead do this on the next day (Tuesday). Study the second half of the lesson the third day and practice more on the fourth and next days of the week. Even if you are doing only one lesson per week, make sure you are practicing at least two or three hours everyday, especially if you are NEET. If not you can do less, but make sure you do it every day. Reading the lessons again, writing sentences and kanji, anything.
  45. The perfect slow and steady program would be - Monday: do half of the new lesson; Tuesday: practice for at least 2 hours, if not more; Wednesday - finish the lesson; Thursday - practice for at least 2 hours; The rest of the week - do the homework from the workbooks (check the ones in my rar if you are not sure what from the torrent, practice kanji (do that any day, especially for previous lesson kanji, it is easy with the smartphone apps) or/and any other practice.
  46.
  47. If you have any questions ask, I will help as much as I can. There are other anons around here learning the language and are ahead of me, so then might help as well. (samachan is dead now, so fufufu.moe is taking over this pasta)
