  1. In regard to shortcut at the start of Crystal Dungeon, karts have a varying degree of success, based on their speed stat, whether it's 100cc, how well you line up, how accurate your hop timing is, and whether you're launching off from an orange mini-turbo OR the trick boost from the first ramp.
  2.
  3. I've found the last method to be GREATLY helpful - if executed correctly, you can launch off with a higher top speed - viable for karts with a poor mini-turbo stat! The tricky part is knowing how to carry the trick boost effectively without it running out too soon, launching off too wide or into the tall wall, or missing the hop and losing some distance. It all generally comes down to kart lines and tech, but basically:
  4.
  5. 1) Start a drift before the ramp, then trick off it.
  6. 2) Aim to land on the inner (left) side of the road.
  7.
  8. I recommend holding the drift until just before you land so that, upon landing, you may re-drift (or you may call it 'slip-drift') in either possible direction. Useful to fix a really bad line quickly, before it's too late.
  9.
  10. 3) Upon landing, you do a short re-drift left or right - in whichever direction that gives you the better line towards the SC. Make use of the amount of drifting space you have depending on your landing point from the ramp.
  11.
  12. 4) Try to hop at the last second.
  13. 5) ????
  14. 6) HE... GOES... ALL... THE... WAY!
  15.
  16. I tried doing it shroomless with the Baby Booster, about 15 to 30 times. It works on 150cc but I don't think I've come close to doing it on 100cc. Sorry, fams. :( Instead, just rush a blue mini-turbo and go for the respawn shock dodge, or hope for a good thick bump. That would constitute really epic #BestMoments material, don't you think?
  17.
  18. On the flip side, top-tier karts can do it on 100cc due to their high speed, though it does become a bit precise.
