  1. Peter Berger relies heavily on the belief that language is the be-all, end-all that dictates reality as a social construct. He fails to realize, however, there are unchanging variables and constants within our own reality that, no matter how hard we may try, shall remain law. We look to the sky and see an infinite expanse; it is known and believed to be infinite because of scientific reasoning. Usually, when we experience reality, we do not take society’s collective truths into consideration. Instead, we form our own. In total honesty, the concept of socially constructed realities as a whole is a paradox. Are our beliefs formed from previous experiences, or do we have total control over them? Say we did have total control over our way of thinking and our system of the formation of beliefs was completely within our grasp. How would we filter out the objective reality (scientific reasoning and evidence) from what we consider to be reality (subjective and personal truths)?
