  1. <Garlyle> Tap tap. Just the quietest on his window.
  2. * Isaac looks up from his position, looking at the window.
  3. <Garlyle> There's someone standing with his back to the window, knuckles resting against it. Kinda hard to tell in the moonlight but it kind of looks like...Tillo?
  4. * Isaac gets up and knocks on the window lightly himself. "What are you doing here?" he whispers.
  5. <Garlyle> "...What, am I banned from the premises now?" it's quiet.
  6. <Isaac> "No, but Adel's on the roof. He probably can hear you."
  7. <Garlyle> "He's out cold. For now."
  8. <Isaac> "I'll unlock the backdoor." Isaac quietly sneaks out of his room, unlocking the backdoor.
  9. <Garlyle> Tillo meets him there. The flames are rather bright now that they're facing Isaac, but it's probably because everything else is so dark. He looks rather tired. "Hey."
  10. <Isaac> "Hey. Did you find your way back home?"
  11. <Garlyle> "Yeah. ...Sorry about that. I shouldn't have left you out there, but..."
  12. <Isaac> "It's fine. I'm assuming Hawthorne told you everything, right?"
  13. <Garlyle> "He did. And he shooed you away for me. ...Sorry."
  14. <Isaac> "No problem." Isaac quietly jumps forward and hugs Tillo. "I'm really sorry. It's just... it was too easy to take advantage of... you still can't remember, can't you."
  15. <Garlyle> "...!?" Tillo starts a little, turning red and pushing Isaac back a little. "So you -did- lie to me!"
  16. <Isaac> "Well, only after a certain point."
  17. <Isaac> "The obvious point, of course."
  18. <Garlyle> "...Listen. Okay. Yes, are you happy? My memory's not whole. But you'd better be honest with me about how much of that you were making up."
  19. <Isaac> "...I honestly did wait for you. Twice."
  20. <Garlyle> "...I know you did at my house. I'm sorry for that," he sighs, rubbing the back of his head.
  21. <Isaac> "It's fine. Fine. But... the rest... yeah. That were all lies... but... I wish you were more forward with me, you know?"
  22. <Garlyle> "..." Tillo sighs a little, then looks at Isaac seriously. "That photo you were looking at. You... wouldn't really want me enquiring about that, would you?"
  23. <Isaac> "...that was Corsette. My fiance. Died two years ago."
  24. <Garlyle> "...That wasn't an actual enquiry, though it did kind of ruin my point," he sighs.
  25. <Isaac> "?"
  26. <Garlyle> "Listen. Everyone has secrets, alright? Private ones they don't really want pried into. In my case..."
  27. <Isaac> "...I... see... so, you still aren't going to be forward with me." Isaac sighs and just finds a place to sit down.
  28. <Garlyle> Tillo sighs. "Sorry. I don't... there's only one person I've ever told this to. One..."
  29. <Isaac> "I can tell who... but it looks like more than one person knows about us."
  30. <Garlyle> "What do you mean, 'about us'?"
  31. <Isaac> "Or, about your feelings for me."
  32. <Garlyle> "That's not what I'm talking about here."
  33. <Garlyle> A beat, and then.
  34. <Garlyle> "A-and I don't know where you got such a ridiculous idea."
  35. <Isaac> "..."
  36. <Isaac> "So, Tillo. What DO you want to ask about me? We're in my place now, so it's not like anyone will barge in." And the backdoor is locked, just in case.
  37. <Garlyle> "... That'd be nice, though it's not like we're not at risk of being overheard... and I'm not entirely just referring to Adel either, to be completely honest; although I think he's the only one who would do so deliberately and maliciously."
  38. <Isaac> "I know. But he knows enough of my secrets already."
  39. <Garlyle> "...Well, to be frank, it's not your secrets I'm worried about."
  40. <Isaac> "...it's his?"
  41. <Garlyle> "...That, and..." he sighs. "Do you mind going somewhere with me? I have no idea when he'll wake up and I'd rather he not start reading your mind to peek in or something."
  42. <Isaac> "Alright, then. Where to?" And the backdoor is unlocked.
  43. <Garlyle> "...Not too far. The edge of town should do," like that's not really that far but.
  44. <Isaac> "Sure. Why not?"
  45. <Garlyle> Tillo nods and gets a move on then.
  46. * Isaac locks the door behind them and walks with Tillo.
  47. <Garlyle> Doot doot. Tillo is mostly quiet in the walk; he's got his head hung low and is pretty quiet. It seems like he doesn't really want to be seen walking the streets at night, and he's trying at least a little to hide those little wisps that are making his position fairly clear.
  48. <Isaac> "...so, what did you want to talk about?"
  49. <Garlyle> Tillo settles down against a tree, sighing and relaxing a little. "I... wanted to clear something up, but..."
  50. <Isaac> "..."
  51. <Garlyle> "...It's... it's a little embarassing. And... kind of scary. My secret."
  52. <Isaac> "...well, I pretty much told you all of my secrets, so..."
  53. <Garlyle> "I can't... I don't know how the hell Adel got any idea about what happened but he might not be wrong... kind of. But..." he sighs.
  54. <Isaac> "...but that never would have happened if you weren't under the influence of something?"
  55. <Garlyle> "I'd like to think that. It's more... well, I know something for sure he's wrong on. ...Specifically, I know my memory's not being messed with."
  56. <Garlyle> He has kind of balled up a little by this point. His arms are across his knees and his head is resting on them.
  57. <Isaac> "...then what happened during that time?"
  58. <Isaac> "In your perspective, of course."
  59. <Garlyle> "...It's a hole, alright? It's like..." he sighs, rubbing his forehead a little and seemingly trying to concentrate. "I remember... seeing you all off after we fought with the mayor. Although I don't even remember the whole of that fight. And then I started looking into Titania's state, and made an agreement with Roarona on what we'd do to save the city."
  60. <Garlyle> "...And then I remember starting to work to save everyone and taking out some guards, and I -think- I remember fighting their leader, and then... if I try to hard to remember, it just starts blurring."
  61. <Isaac> "..."
  62. <Isaac> "I see. So, the possibility that Adel is right is... pretty high."
  63. <Garlyle> "...He's not."
  64. <Garlyle> "...In a way."
  65. <Isaac> "Oh?"
  66. <Garlyle> "...I know I'm not being screwed with because... this is normal for me."
  67. <Isaac> "...you normally have blanks in your memories?"
  68. <Garlyle> "...Yeah. ...Lots." Face is now hidden from view although the sparks are kind of hovering just past his arms.
  69. <Isaac> "You're hesitating."
  70. <Garlyle> "I know. It's... this is what I was talking about, okay? I don't... like even acknowledging it."
  71. <Isaac> "...no. As in you're the one who's starting to lie a bit now."
  72. <Garlyle> "I'm not lying, though," Tillo sighs. "I'm serious."
  73. <Isaac> "Alright then." Isaac sits next to Tillo. "So, what are you going to do with it?"
  74. <Garlyle> "...I dunno. But... I can't just admit that. I-it's hard enough just saying it to you..."
  75. <Isaac> "...if you want, I can stick around you, reminding you."
  76. <Garlyle> "Th-that'd just be odd," he curls up. "Besides... I don't want to acknowledge this any more than I absolutely have to. It's... scary, alright?"
  77. <Isaac> "...alright."
  78. <Isaac> "So, um, Tillo?"
  79. <Garlyle> "...Yeah?"
  80. <Isaac> "You were going to ask me some questions when I was at your house... I think I can answer them now. What did you want to ask, again?"
  81. <Garlyle> "...It's nothing of importance. Just... some sheltered kid's cluelessness about the world, that's all." Unusually self-antagonizing there Tillo, although frankly he does look kind of miserable as is.
  82. <Isaac> "...oh, come on. If you want me to tell you stories, you can just ask."
  83. <Garlyle> "...I wouldn't mind a little," he manages to get out. "I need... to stop thinking about these things."
  84. <Isaac> "Alright. Well, I'll tell you how I met Corsette, and opened my first shop. How about that?"
  85. <Garlyle> "...Sure," Tillo smiles a little; made clear by him looking back up; just enough that his visor - and his eyes, peek out to look at Isaac.
  86. <Isaac> "Well, I was attending my aunt's gala ball, or such. Now, even though my mom was poor, my aunt made sure I had the proper upbringing. She basically taught me to clean and serve and cook, and she'd pay me well. I'd saved up a lot of money by then."
  87. <Isaac> "Anyways, I met Corsette when she asked me to dance. Me, the servant boy! I looked to my aunt, who nodded in approval, and then..."
  88. <Isaac> "Well, I sucked."
  89. <Garlyle> Tillo can't help but chuckle a little.
  90. <Isaac> "Yeah, well. But she was so good. She took my hand and led me through the dance, and right after... well, I fell in love."
  91. <Isaac> "Soon after, she was visiting me, and my aunt, of course, approved, as long as I was doing my work. And then she told me about shops and stuff... and that's what I wanted to do."
  92. <Isaac> "So, I asked my aunt if I could have enough time to open my own store, and well..."
  93. <Isaac> "Um..."
  94. <Isaac> "Things didn't go so well."
  95. <Garlyle> "...I heard. Eugene taxed you a lot, right? I think I remember hearing that..."
  96. <Isaac> "No. This was all back in Florez."
  97. <Garlyle> "Oh. I'm thinking too far ahead then, it seems."
  98. <Isaac> "My aunt kicked me out of her house... and Corsette, the lovely lady, she hired me instead."
  99. <Isaac> "Soon afterwards, we opened our first shop, and well... that's another story."
  100. <Garlyle> "...So you haven't been very successful, huhn?"
  101. <Isaac> "Nope! That shop was a great success! We made so much we moved over here!"
  102. <Garlyle> "Oh, I see," Tillo manages a bit more of a smile, and leans against Isaac a little. "...But..."
  103. <Isaac> "...yeah. When we opened our store over here... she caught a bad bug..."
  104. <Isaac> "And... she slowly forgot..."
  105. <Garlyle> "...Wh-what?"
  106. <Isaac> "Yeah. She slowly forgot about me... and the times we had..."
  107. <Isaac> "That was the worst month of my life..."
  108. <Garlyle> Tillo hides his face again. He has tensed up at this.
  109. <Isaac> "...sorry. I shouldn't have said that."
  110. <Garlyle> "...And then what?"
  111. <Isaac> "And then she died at the end of the month. And..."
  112. <Garlyle> "..."
  113. <Isaac> "And then you know everything. My downfall, my hiring, etc."
  114. <Garlyle> "I guess I do now.... at least you're open about these things."
  115. <Isaac> "Well, it's not like I can keep any more secrets."
  116. <Garlyle> "...You're lucky like that, then."
  117. <Isaac> "...what about you?
  118. <Garlyle> "...What do you mean, what about me?"
  119. <Isaac> "Why do you keep your secrets?"
  120. <Garlyle> "...Even I don't like my secrets," he sighs. "...I mean, think about it. I... don't have any idea what actually happens in those times. -Something- has to, but... I don't remember a thing about it."
  121. <Isaac> "...is that the only secret you've been keeping?"
  122. <Garlyle> "...Maybe not. The others aren't important. They're just... silly things."
  123. <Isaac> "Hm? Like what exactly?" :3 face on.
  124. <Garlyle> "Well, I mean... what kind of proper noble can't stand the taste ofwine? ...But you knew that already."
  125. <Isaac> "Haha. That's not that bad."
  126. <Garlyle> "It is in the upper class," He manages a bit of a smile again. "-Everyone- is expected to take a fine glass of wine with a meal at dinners... to have impeccable manners and use their utensils properly and... it's kind of stupid, really."
  127. <Isaac> "I know. I'm glad I got out of that lifestype while I still could have."
  128. <Garlyle> "But also... stupid stuff I wouldn't really want you guys to find out about... even if some of it you guys already have," he sighs.
  129. <Isaac> "So..."
  130. <Garlyle> "...So?
  131. <Isaac> "I noticed in that conversation, that he failed to correct you."
  132. <Garlyle> "Sorry?"
  133. <Isaac> "Who is Emil?"
  134. <Garlyle> (Adel never saw that)
  135. <Isaac> (Oh, shit. Never mind.)
  136. <Garlyle> (There's only a couple parts of their conversations he actually saw - some of their banter during the fight, and the bit about Eugene killing the Czar and Emblem supposedly now taking control of the Senate. The other parts were missing from his visions)
  137. <Isaac> "I noticed in that conversation... you do like guys, don't you."
  138. <Garlyle> "...Sorry?"
  139. <Isaac> (...)
  140. <Isaac> (Fuck it, I'm going on with it.)
  141. <Isaac> "...so, Tillo. Do you like me or not?"
  142. <Garlyle> (That... was technically also missing, but there was kind of this sexual tension floating between Harbringr and Tillo the entire time yes)
  143. <Isaac> (That's why I'm going on with it.)
  144. <Garlyle> "Uh....w-where'd that come from!?"
  145. <Isaac> "Haha! We're just discussing your secrets, and you never got around to that one."
  146. <Garlyle> "W-well, t-there's nothing!" He's stuttering a little and hiding his visor-covered eyes again. By looking clear away from Isaac.
  147. * Isaac frowns a little and sighs. "Well... to be fair, I like you."
  148. <Garlyle> "...You... you're certainly not insinuating something beyond just 'like' are you?" he's trying to gentleman his way out of this
  149. <Isaac> "...and what if I am?"
  150. <Garlyle> "...T-that'd be... e-extremely improper!" Stuttering is not very proper and very unbecoming of Tillo. "I mean... w-we really haven't know each other th-that long!"
  151. <Isaac> "...and that same feeling was there in that conversation. How long have you known the guy, again?"
  152. <Garlyle> "Wh-what guy? That guy... I kind of remember fighting him last night, in the basement of the Colosseum."
  153. <Isaac> "But that talk... the mood was there."
  154. <Garlyle> "I hope you're not insinuating... I would most certainly not do something like that, especially with my enemy!"
  155. <Isaac> "..."
  156. <Isaac> "...Tillo."
  157. <Isaac> "Even I do it sometimes."
  158. <Garlyle> "What--Eh!?" Tillo is looking at Isaac with oh god what eyes.
  159. <Isaac> "Sometimes, when you need to get information, and there's no easy way to do it, there is... that way..."
  160. <Garlyle> "W-well, you can d-do what you want w-with your body! I m-most certainly would not!"
  161. <Isaac> "...why are you stuttering."
  162. <Garlyle> Oh hey he's adorably pink, as highlighted by those little fires.
  163. <Garlyle> "I-I'm not stuttering, I'm just embarassed! T-that kind of thing... G-gentlemen don't discuss that!"
  164. <Isaac> "...but you know that I'm not just a gentleman."
  165. * Isaac leans in a little closer.
  166. <Garlyle> "Well, y-yes, but I am!"
  167. <Isaac> "Oh? So you're saying you would have never done it?"
  168. <Garlyle> "O-of course I w-wouldn't have! T-that's preposterous! I'd n-never just give up my f-first... I mean... y-you're infuriating!"
  169. <Isaac> "Even if you thought no one would know?"
  170. <Garlyle> "Of course not! T-that's... yes, I'm not a perfect g-gentleman but that's not something I'd just g-give away on something stupid!"
  171. <Isaac> "...so you WERE under the influence of something."
  172. <Isaac> "Well, then, what's wrong with me?"
  173. <Garlyle> "T-that's why I don't think it a-actually happened!"
  174. <Isaac> "...to be fair... the timing would work well, don't you think?"
  175. <Garlyle> "A-and there's nothing wrong with you!"
  176. * Isaac smiled and put his hand on Tillo's shoulder. "And I wish that was all I needed in the world."
  177. <Garlyle> Tillo tenses up noticably at being touched, eyes averting from Isaac again.
  178. <Isaac> "...Tillo. Can you be honest with me now?"
  179. <Garlyle> "...I haven't really been anything -but- honest with you."
  180. <Isaac> "Okay. Can you be more open with me now?"
  181. <Garlyle> "...Hopefully?"
  182. <Isaac> "Alright. How do you feel about me, then?"
  183. <Garlyle> "..." his eyes avert again, still hiding behind that damn visor of his. "I, uh... ...I-I'm not quite sure?"
  184. <Isaac> "...maybe it would be better if... I made the first move?"
  185. <Garlyle> "F-first move!"?
  186. <Isaac> "Tillo..." Isaac moves Tillo's head to face him. "Ever since I moved her, I've been fucked by many people, but literally and figuratively. But I can say for sure... you're the first one I've met here that I loved."
  187. <Garlyle> "Gh... dhghgh..." Tillo does not have words for this situation.
  188. <Isaac> And Isaac leans in for a kiss...
  189. <Garlyle> Tillo does not exactly stop him.
  190. <Garlyle> It's not like he doesn't pretend to or attempt to or something but he doesn't -actually- stop him.
  191. * Isaac kisses Tillo slightly, before going back a little. "There. Was that so hard?"
  192. <Garlyle> "....Th-that was..." it was probably a little awkward, between that visor being in the way and the heat - although not nearly as burning hot as might be expected - from the low flames sitting in front of his forehead. "Y-you actually..."
  193. <Isaac> "Yeah?"
  194. <Garlyle> "...K-kissed..." Damn, Tillo really must have not been kidding about being a virgin to be getting this flustered up over just a kiss.
  195. <Isaac> "...yeah. I did."
  196. <Garlyle> "...S-so you w-were serious?" his eyes are like huge and childish right now. "L-liking some sheltered noble kid l-like me...!"
  197. <Isaac> "Yeah. So?"
  198. <Garlyle> "I... I'm j-just not used to it, is all..." he's kind of flicking his eyes back between Isaac and not-Isaac.
  199. <Isaac> "...whatcha looking at?"
  200. <Garlyle> "...N-nothing..." he kind of looks away a little, and then tries to focus his gaze on Isaac. And just... turns steadily brighter red.
  201. * Isaac attempts to look at what Tillo is looking at.
  202. <Garlyle> There's really nothing. Seems like he's just embarassed.
  203. * Isaac turns back to Tillo. "Anyways, it looks like I pushed you to your limit today. My place or yours tomorrow?"
  204. <Garlyle> "Wh-what!?" Tillo jumps back a little this time-and bumps his head against the tree because really there wasn't anywhere to jump back to anyway. "I... w-we should probably return t-to our own respective... I mean..."
  205. <Isaac> "Alright, so your place tomorrow? We can finally have the dinner you promised me."
  206. <Garlyle> "W-well... ... a dinner with you does sound nice. ...B-but come alone if you're going to!"
  207. <Isaac> "I'll try my best."
  208. <Isaac> "Nah. Just kidding. I WILL come alone."
  209. <Garlyle> "...Heh, th-this'll give the maids something to chatter about for the next -year-," he chuckles a little, managing a small smile.
  210. <Isaac> "Glad to hear of it." Isaac fully stands up, closing his coat to cover the obvious "Anyways, we really should get going. Busy day tomorrow."
  211. <Garlyle> "Y-yeah, you're right..." Tillo slowly pushes himself off the ground, managing a soft smile. "Inevitably... another nonsensical and dangerous day."
  212. <Isaac> "Nah. I'm thinking of staying home tomorrow. Probably for the better. I'm horrible at combat."
  213. <Garlyle> "...We could all probably use a rest, really," Tillo sighs, rubbing the back of his head. "And if I don't have to see Adel for a little bit... all the better."
  214. <Isaac> "...haha. Alright. How about I meet you early, then. Say, noon?"
  215. <Garlyle> "...Whatever works for you," he nods. "I don't... aside from work, my day is not usually full unless father's home."
  216. <Isaac> "Alright, then. Noon, then. Get ready! Oh, and by the way."
  217. <Garlyle> "...Yeah?"
  218. <Isaac> "If I do come alone, and your dad is there, I'll be sure to introduce myself."
  219. <Garlyle> "...He won't care," Tillo sighs at this, rubbing the back of his head.
  220. <Isaac> "Alright, then. See you tomorrow!" And Isaac has run off.
  221. <Garlyle> Tillo sighs a little, and then recomposes himself with a bit of a smile. "...See you, Isaac."
  222. <Isaac> </mixedmini>
