- Ignore the size, most people probably only need to read the first question.
- Q1. I tested out the game but on the character select screen every box is
- empty. What gives?
- A.While the download link comes with the characters, you still need to apply
- the mods to their designated character slots. Upon running the game, click
- settings in the upper right, then go to the customization tab
- in the new window. You'll see a bunch of character names with drop down menus,
- click each one and give every character their proper character mod.
- Oshare Bones and Onion Pixy share a slot, so if you don't have Oshare
- put Onion there instead. If you can't find Draco, remember that her full name
- is Draco Centauros. If your screen is too small her name might appear as
- "...auros" or something on the dropdown menu. This should take about 30 seconds.
- Q2.The music stays the same every round, how do I change it?
- A.There's two ways to change the battle music, manually or automatically.
- To do it manually, while in an online match there will be a chatbox to the left.
- If you click the "settings" tab on that chat box, then uncheck and recheck the
- "play music" option, the music will stop, and when it starts up again a new song
- is randomly selected to play. There's plenty of songs, so feel free to try it often.
- To do it automatically, go to the settings menu in the main game window,
- not the match window. Go to the music tab there, and there will be many options
- to change how the music plays. You can also rearrange all the sound files.
- "Advance at round start" changes the song whenever a new round begins, the
- other options are probably self explanatory.
- Q3. I prefer the older Puyo Puyo Music, where can I get it?
- A.http://www.mediafire.com/download/j5j0l92a5vdqldv/Puyo+Puyo+1%2B2+Mega+Drive.rar
- http://www.mediafire.com/download/ae47namdn7if3p0/Puyo+Puyo+3+Saturn.rar
- This is the music from Puyo Puyo 1-3, as looping ogg files. I'd reccomend not using
- them in conjuction with the newer sound files. The volume difference between the newer music
- and older music is very noticeable, so if you use both at once it'll either be too quiet or
- too loud whenever a song changes. The music folder is under the "user" folder. Make sure to put at
- least one song in the fever folder.

- This is a dump of every sound file, but be aware only some actually play properly in VS2. Others have
- to be changed to a supported file type in audacity or a similar program.
- Q4. What about the music from Mean Bean Machine and Kirby's Avalanche?
- A. Most of the good songs from MBM were taken directly from Puyo Puyo 1, the instrumentation of a few
- songs was changed slightly but it's almost identical. Just download that folder instead.

- Q5. Why do Oshare Bones and Onion Pixy share a slot? Why is only Onion Pixy
- included in the default character pack and the character pack in the mega links?
- A. PPVS2 is based off of the game Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, a game Oshare isn't in. The creator
- decided in one update that he was going to replace Onion Pixy's dropset with Oshare's since Oshare
- is more popular in the West and his dropset is very similar to Onion Pixy's. Onion Pixy is still kept
- as a default character, and most people that play still just use him, since he's from the same game as
- the others, but the slot is technically meant to be shared with Oshare. If you want a fan made Oshare
- you can download it here:
- http://www.mediafire.com/download/lp0q172337860ql/OSB_Animation.zip
- Place it in characters folder, which is under the user folder.
- Do be aware that since Oshare's last appearence was in 15 and not 20, his sound files and art are
- of a lower quality. Although, if you really really like Oshare you might not mind.
- Also, mods are only client-side, so to most people you play against they'll see you as Onion Pixy.
- Q6.Are there differences between the characters?
- A. In Tsu mode (aka classic mode) all the characters function identically to one another.
- In fever mode, there are differences between the characters. All of them have different dropsets, which means
- that the order in which they get their pieces varies from character to character. The colors are always randomized,
- but the shapes your pieces come in vary. Also, every character's chaining power
- is different. Chaining power is the score multipler you get when doing chains. Some characters do better in normal mode than
- others, while some fare better in fever. The differences are generally pretty small, and not very noticeable in casual play.

- Q7.How do I get better at the game?
- A.1. Read guides
- 2.Watch matches between people who are better than you.
- 3. Practice what you've learned
