  4. [2014-10-29 21:30:22]<EchoesOfDeath> An alarm clock rings after many hours. You were fed humble meals and waited. Finally Dr. Sinew Construct is back with his flashlight pen. The cell gate is opened and a guard follows by his side to check on you. The other guard leaves through the doors to the hallways further into the building.
  5. [2014-10-29 21:35:33]* Backlash waits patiently to be examined. Even she can't ignore the tension.
  6. [2014-10-29 21:35:44]<EchoesOfDeath> Twenty-four hours have passed since your arrival and while your companions look sluggish, none seems any less healthy than their arrival. He checks you one by one, flashing the light into your eyes, starting by Star_Spotter and Rosebee, then Raven, Swift_Hurddle and Cambiance, and one by one your manacles are unlocked.

  8. [2014-10-29 21:38:13]<EchoesOfDeath> "Phew, finally!" Rosebee says, stretching.

  10. [2014-10-29 21:39:02]<Backlash> "Where to?" Backlash asks nopony in particular. Regaining focus, she asks Sinew, "Are you the main doctor here?"
  11. [2014-10-29 21:41:29]<EchoesOfDeath> The doctor examines Finder and his squad, then moving to Backlash as they are released. He examines her eyes. "I am the only doctor here." He sighs. "The outbreak wiped out most hospitals, clinics and other healers."
  12. [2014-10-29 21:42:28]* Cambiance frowns grimly. "Yeah. This all started when we were in a hospital. It seems like a lifetime ago."
  13. [2014-10-29 21:44:57]* Backlash looks over to Cambiance mid-examination, much to Sinew's annoyance. 'Wait a minute, the hospital! Maybe that's where it started! Crap, what was it called... It was the one by Rosebee's house!'
  14. [2014-10-29 21:46:07]<EchoesOfDeath> Golden Leaf moves her gaze from the floor to the doctor but doesn't say anything.
  15. [2014-10-29 21:47:31]<EchoesOfDeath> "Glow Rod." He telekinetically holds Backlash's head. "This will only take a minute, aaand you are fine." He moves over to Sugar Drop.
  16. [2014-10-29 21:49:42]* Backlash frowns at Sinew and shakes her mane out. 'Yeah, that was it. Did you work there?'
  17. [2014-10-29 21:51:50]<EchoesOfDeath> "Do you know what caused this?" A mare's voice comes through the hallway doors. A tall blue mare wearing a formal police uniform and a cap trots to the holding cell area.
  18. [2014-10-29 21:53:06]* Backlash steps back and her eyes flicker toward her friends. 'Who me? Er, us?'
  19. [2014-10-29 21:55:08]<EchoesOfDeath> "No, I worked over at Happy Patch, but I had a day off when the crisis happened. Oh, Commissioner Nightwatch, are you doing your usual speech?" The doctor says
  20. [2014-10-29 21:55:55]<EchoesOfDeath> "Right now I'm interested on what they have to say." The commissioner trots closer. "Yes, you and your friends, do you know what caused all this?"
  21. [2014-10-29 21:56:43]<EchoesOfDeath> Meanwhile Swift_Hurdle seems to have dozed off
  22. [2014-10-29 21:57:06]<Star_Spotter> "I'm afraid not. Do you?"
  23. [2014-10-29 22:02:44]<EchoesOfDeath> "When the attacks started to happen, there was little time to investigate. We spent all of our efforts trying to contain the crisis and lost many ponies trying to do so... but we couldn't stop it from spreading." The commissioner scowls "All we know is that the first reports of these 'zombies' came from Little Canterlot."
  24. [2014-10-29 22:06:38]* Backlash limply holds up a hoof. She looks sick. 'Excuse me, is there a bathroom? I just needa duck out quick...'
  25. [2014-10-29 22:11:00]<EchoesOfDeath> The guard unlocks Backlash's manacles and points to some improvised curtains at a corner of the cell.
  26. [2014-10-29 22:11:46]* Backlash hobbles in that direction and disappears from view.

  28. [2014-11-05 21:09:44]<EchoesOfDeath> "Hmm." The doctor takes some time examining Sugar Drop while all the others are already released.

  37. [2014-11-05 21:58:28]* Swift_Hurddle yawns and rolls of the stiff bench of the holding cell after hearing the noise of ponies talking. Stretching he groans and rubs his eyes with his fetlocks. "Did I miss something? Oh! are we done?"
  38. [2014-11-05 22:03:21]* Backlash trots shakily out from behind the curtain, a little pale, but somehow also less stressed. 'Heh, I am... I hope. How ya feelin'?'
  39. [2014-11-05 22:05:17]* Swift_Hurddle face brightens up, "Going to be doing allot better after we get out of this tiny room!... whats up with you, feeling ok miss backlash?"
  40. [2014-11-05 22:05:49]* Cambiance looks up. "Morning."
  41. [2014-11-05 22:07:09]<Backlash> 'Ohh, sights better now. All this talk about... the sick ponies, just-' She shivers. 'It strikes somethin' in me. Somethin' not nice. Let's just say I'm glad we're safe here.'
  42. [2014-11-05 22:07:19]<EchoesOfDeath> The doctor nods to the guard, who unlocks Sugar Drop and both trot away.
  43. [2014-11-05 22:08:12]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, "Yup, safe and sound! So how did you sleep Cambaince?"
  44. [2014-11-05 22:08:41]* Cambiance smiles, bleary-eyed. "Well enough. A tad anxious to see what's here. You?"
  45. [2014-11-05 22:10:07]* Swift_Hurddle rubs the back of his neck, "Ummm... bad dreams actually, nothing I can remember to much though"
  46. [2014-11-05 22:10:26]* Cambiance frowns. "You feeling okay?"
  47. [2014-11-05 22:10:55]* Swift_Hurddle waves his hoof, "Fit as a fiddle, I mean it would probably be worse if I didnt have bad dreams at this point, right?"
  48. [2014-11-05 22:12:12]<Cambiance> "That is a good point I guess. Just take care."

I am Commissioner Nightwatch. I don't think I need to tell you how dire the situation is out there. Little is remains of how life used to be, which each and everyone of us more precious. You are the key for the future of Baltimare, even the whole Equestria, and as such, trust that our duty will be

  56. [2014-11-05 22:20:20]* Backlash , on the other hoof, has a harrowed expression. 'All of Equestria? Ain't this thing just in Baltimare?'
  57. [2014-11-05 22:22:02]* Swift_Hurddle looks to Nightwatch, "Even if it is there are more groups like us out ther, surely "
  58. [2014-11-05 22:24:55]<EchoesOfDeath> "We can't confirm or deny that, but the roads are not safe." The commissioner says.
  59. [2014-11-05 22:26:21]* Backlash lets a shadow of annoyance slip through. 'Does that mean ya don't know, or ya can't tell us?'
  60. [2014-11-05 22:26:57]* Swift_Hurddle waits to see what the mare will say
  61. [2014-11-05 22:29:20]<EchoesOfDeath> "Right now we need to focus on our situation. Suffice to say we can't count on anypony to appear and fix everything." The commissioner says impassively.
  62. [2014-11-05 22:29:52]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "Right so what is in store for us?"
  63. [2014-11-05 22:30:36]* Backlash seems pacified for now and lets Swift_Hurddle take over the questions.
  64. [2014-11-05 22:33:41]<EchoesOfDeath> "You will be given rooms, and there will be regular meals. We will need your work to make sure everything keeps running properly, but tasks will be distributed as necessary. Good initiative will be rewarded." She trots from one side to another. "However there are rules you will need to follow."
  65. [2014-11-05 22:34:27]* Cambiance listens carefully.
  66. [2014-11-05 22:36:03]* Backlash clearly doesn't like the sound of 'rules.'
  67. [2014-11-05 22:36:19]* Swift_Hurddle smiles and waits to hear the rules
  68. [2014-11-05 22:40:55]<EchoesOfDeath> "It's strictly forbidden to attack any fellow citizen. Any problems should be reported to the deputies." She points to one of the guards who seem to be wearing a toy sheriff star. "Any injuries must be reported on the spot, if you see somebody hiding injuries, report and you may be rewarded. Stealing supplies is a grave offense, the Deputy Mayor is doing hard work to manage and plan out for our necessities and we can't afford wasting."
  69. [2014-11-05 22:44:47]* Backlash looks relieved. 'Well that just sounds like common kindness. Done!'
  70. [2014-11-05 22:45:39]* Cambiance nods. "Fair enough."
  71. [2014-11-05 22:46:17]* Swift_Hurddle nods, "sounds good"
  72. [2014-11-05 22:48:14]<EchoesOfDeath> "Another important restriction, some areas haven't been thoroughly cleared and are forbidden. As well is leaving the building complex without authorization. We can't risk the infection reaching our survivors." The commissioner says.
  73. [2014-11-05 22:52:19]* Swift_Hurddle tilts his head, "Do ponies really try and leave?"
  74. [2014-11-05 22:57:42]<EchoesOfDeath> "Occasionally." The commissioner says.
  75. [2014-11-05 22:58:21]* Swift_Hurddle frowns at this, seeming not to understand
  76. [2014-11-05 23:01:06]<EchoesOfDeath> The commissioner observes silently for a moment
  77. [2014-11-05 23:01:47]* Cambiance nods at the rules. "Doesn't sound too bad..." she mutters.
  78. [2014-11-05 23:01:49]* Swift_Hurddle waits for her to fill in the blank before blinking, "Umm.... why?"
  79. [2014-11-05 23:07:43]<EchoesOfDeath> "No sensible reason. We have trusted teams in charge of seeking supplies, finding survivors and protecting the area. Any external matter should be deferred to them." The commissioner says
  80. [2014-11-05 23:07:56]<EchoesOfDeath> Monochrome waves.
  81. [2014-11-05 23:11:59]<EchoesOfDeath> The commissioner turns away. "Very well, lead them to their rooms."
  82. [2014-11-05 23:12:00]* Swift_Hurddle nods
  83. [2014-11-05 23:12:02]* Backlash perks up and waves back. 'Sounds good. And we can usually talk to you guys if we need to, right?'
  84. [2014-11-05 23:12:44]<EchoesOfDeath> She glances back. "Of course, anytime you need there should be a deputy available."
  85. [2014-11-05 23:13:41]* Swift_Hurddle smiles, "Good to hear"
  86. [2014-11-05 23:13:51]<EchoesOfDeath> The squad leaves the cell on their own going towards the hallway, and the two guards approach to guide your group.
  87. [2014-11-05 23:17:30]<EchoesOfDeath> An unicorn mare in a dress appears from the hallway carrying a collection of papers. "Nightwatch, we need to talk." She says with a scowl.
