  1. Send message or post in thread. Will try to accommodate change as soon as I can.
  2.
  3. All the "Kill all enemies in ___ area" quests are bugged, including kill all of them with a hammer or kill them all naked or anything of the sort. If a hater kills any enemies, which they will, then it doesn't count as you killing them. Don't even try to do those quests.
  4.
  5. What the fuck is this game?
  6. --- It's a character action game where you climb a tower floor by floor to get to the riches on top. It has roguelike elements and light multiplayer interaction. Eventually you can try to steal waifus but it’s kind of pointless since people will take them back. There's a lot of grinding, a ton of grinding, and then more grinding. To progress you just go up and up, fighting bosses and making new characters. When you die your old fighter gets Haterfied, and becomes an enemy on the floor you died at. Other players who died can also become haters. If you kill your Haterfied self, they will go back to the freezer on the ground floor and you can select them again but they will have lost all of their items, or you can spend some cash to bring them back to the freezer right away with all their items. It's a lot of grinding, but it's a Suda 51 game with a really cool atmosphere and the gameplay is okay enough to be kind of okay. Fucking awesome music and atmosphere. Just climb the fucking tower, Senpai.

  10. Controls and moves/general tips, many from Master Meiji-san
  11.
  12. -Click up on the d-pad to swap your locked on target.
  13.
  14. -Click down on the d-pad to open a map.
  15.
  16. -You can suplex enemies from behind by pressing X if you're hiding and not detected, wait for the prompt to appear.
  17.
  18. -You can jump attack enemies by pressing X if you aren't detected as well, wait for the prompt to appear.
  19.
  20. -Cooking most things will improve them or change the effect slightly, though some items will remain the same. Rats and healing mushrooms are big examples and don't need to be cooked to reach full effectiveness
  21.
  22. -To cook things without throwing them, pull out the item like you're going to throw it and stand next to the fire, a prompt will appear.
  23.
  24. -You can parry attacks, creating an opening for critical attacks, by guarding at just the right time. This works against any melee weapon, and some have claimed it also works against ranged weapons but not confirmed.
  25.
  26. -When you knock an enemy on the ground, such as with the fists rage move, you can stomp on them with X while standing next to them up to two times. Just make sure to mash the X button and you'll do two stomps.
  27.
  28. -To reload a weapon that uses ammo, hold X and then press the R2/L2(depending on which hand is holding it).
  29.
  30. -You can get up off the ground faster from a knockdown with a perfectly timed press of circle, unsure of exact timing.
  31.
  32. -The fireworks gun automatically cooks what it hits, so you can lock on and shoot frogs or shrooms to cook them. Also handy for snails to stop the poison and pick them up with less risk of a faulty button press.
  33.
  34. -The L1 for the Metal Bat will deflect projectiles.
  35.
  36. -You can use the right stick to admire Kiwako's legs after you die.
  37.
  38. -It is possible to pause the game by bringing up the DH Service screen.
  39.
  40. Gameplay elements/menus
  41. -How can I afford mushroom stew? It's too expensive?
  42. To buy mushroom stew you have to upgrade your bank capacity to be able to have 50k coins, see below
  43.
  44. -How do I spend the blue stuff/splithium and how do I upgrade my bank/wallet/Kill Coins?
  45. To upgrade capacity of coins and fighters and everything else you have to go to the TDM menu, the multiplayer menu with Tetsuo in the waiting room, which you unlock after beating COEN the first Sub-Boss on floor 3. Going to the menu item "waiting room" (yes there’s a menu option called waiting room in the waiting room multiplayer menu) will bring you to another menu where you can develop the expansions to your stuff. Upgrading your material storage, the box you can put stuff in, costs death metal from the DH express menu.
  46.
  47. -How to get money FAST?
  48. To make dosh raiding is the best way, but later on you will lose money rapidly from other people raiding you so spend fast and farm fast. Later on you will also have to spend stupid amounts of money to get back your guys after they die on high floors, so raiding becomes a constant thing you'll have to do.
  49.
  50. -How does raiding work?
  51. Go to the waiting room after getting to the 4th floor and a new terminal is open, access it and raid away. Refresh the list of raid targets by backing out and then reelecting it until you get a developer, their names will have a string of characters in front. You can raid other players if you want, but they will be able to retaliate and you get more rating and money from the dev raids. Once you get enough rating you will advance to another rank and the bonus you get at the end of a raid will go up. The ranks go: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond. Note that you cannot get raided until after you have completed the raiding tutorial, so if you wanted to have a little bit of peaceful farming then you should wait, but you won't be able to upgrade your bank capacity without the splithium gained from raiding.
  52.
  53. -I get all my money stolen from enemy raids and am totally screwed all the time!
  54. For an emergency stash don't collect quest rewards, they can't be raided and stolen and you collect at your leisure in a pinch. Setting up defenders helps ward off some attacks as well, though not that many. To put up defenders, train up some fighters and give them weapons, make sure to give them either two handers or two weapons since the AI is dumb and will try to punch if you let them. Twin machetes work very well, as do high level masteries with guns or the crossbow. Set up a very tanky guy to come out first, and then have your hitters be the ones who spawn later. You can set up your defenders from the multiplayer menu, in the waiting room. You can also upgrade your banks to be slightly tougher so they're harder to steal, though this only helps in lower ranks when people do less damage.
  55.
  56. -How do I get super high level Fighters?
  57. To get higher level fighters, you have to climb floors and beat bosses. There are 5 tiers/grades we know of; you unlock them at different points. Tier 2 fighters after floor 10, tier 3 after floor 16, tier 4 after 25, and then tier 5 at 35 (I think). You recruit new fighters at your freezer, which you can expand the same way you expand your splithium and Kill Coin stuff. Go to the freezer, pick the recruit a new fighter option, and scroll to the new tiers
  58.
  59. -My fighters are dead and I keep getting killed by OP haters?!?!?
  60. If your fighters die and you need to level a new guy, take the elevator to the third floor and fight COEN repeatedly, there are no enemies or haters aside from him in the area by the elevator and he's very easy for a level 1 to kill
  61.
  62. -How do I upgrade my storage space?
  63. Hit start and go to the DH service menu, there's an option to upgrade storage space for death metal there. It caps at 500
  64.
  65. -How do I carry more in my death bag?
  66. You either have to buy the premium pass for 10 extra slots on all fighters, or make a fighter of the collector type, see next question
  67.
  68. -I get messages about new fighters, are there new types?
  69. There are six types of fighters, which all have different stats. When you go to hire a new fighter you'll be able to scroll through available tiers as well. Each class of fighter has some advantage over the others, it's almost always worth it to have at least one collector for those long grinds since they get extra backpack space. More on which class for which areas maybe soon
  70.
  71. -What does ___ stat do?
  72. You've gotten a little balloon about this and didn't read it, so it'll be in your little codex. But here it is anyway, HP increases your health, stamina gives you more stamina so you don’t tire out and have to take a breather, STR increases melee attack, DEX increases ranged attack, VIT increases your defense/reduces damage taken, and LUK increases the coins you gain by a small amount and gives bonus critical chance. You also need a certain amount of each stat to equip items of a high enough level. I've seen people mention some melee weapons use DEX for damage, which would make sense because they have a DEX requirement, but I haven't tested it yet to be sure.
  73.
  74. -Can I get new ammo for my gun? / My gun is out of ammo, is it useless?
  75. You can't get more ammo for your gun, but it's rage moves don't need ammo and can do a lot of damage. You can also still get XP for your mastery with the rage moves without ammo if you're really desperate for that last bit of XP.
  76.
  77. -I had all these side floors explored yesterday and now they're not there and they're in different spots!
  78. The side floors change locations every day, and you'll have to figure them out all over again.
  79.
  80. -The side floor elevator on floor 2/2f/second floor doesn't work?
  81. It's an elevator just for the side floors, you have to climb a lot higher to find another one. Usually they're one per 10 or so floors.
  82.
  83. -What should I do with duplicate blueprints?
  84. You can sell them; duplicate blueprints serve no purpose.
  85.
  86. -Items have levels on the bottom of the screen, but how do I upgrade items?
  87. When you develop them, if you go to the RND screen again the item is still there with a +1, research that and you can buy the second level and then again for third and so on. Once you've researched up to a high enough level, the item will change to a different color palette
  88.
  89. -Reviving my character is way too expensive and it makes the game unfun!
  90. You can farm an item called Lifeshroom off floor 11 by killing the Pillbugs there. To kill them you have to stun them so they're on their back and then hit them with a weapon. Once you eat a Lifeshroom, the next time you would die you will instead have your health reset to 25% for a raw shroom, 50% for a grilled shroom. You can still be caught in a combo during this, but it is the best way to help stay alive.
  91.
  92. -Are there any secret shops or hidden stuff?
  93. Yes, there is a secret shop which will spawn in one of the side rooms that is a dead end, one of the rooms on your map which does not connect to any station but the one below it (and it does only have one below it, if it connects to more than one station it can't be a secret shop). Note that the shop doesn't sell anything you can't get yourself, and if the shop isn't there then there will be a little cage room with materials instead
  94.
  95. -How do I get to the floor 11 boss/where do I go for floor 11/12/13, Why am I stuck on floor 11/12/13?
  96. You have to go up from floor 11 on some side rooms and then back down again, after going up a little the path will be more obvious.
  97.
  98. -I was in the elevator and everything went black and I fought myself what the fuck was that?
  99. If you go to your waiting room while you're being raided you'll be brought to that sequence, it's just a thing.
  100.
  101. -What is a Skillshroom and how do I use it? How do I get new decals at the mushroom magistrate?
  102. When you find Skillshrooms you bring them to the magistrate and she'll have a menu option for Swap Decal, which isn't for changing the decal on your character but rather swapping Skillshrooms for new decals. It's just a menu option, so don't believe people who say you have to throw them. And don't eat them.
  103.
  104. -What do I do with these Golden beasts, (golden frog, golden snail, so on)
  105. The golden beasts are either given out as quest rewards or found randomly throughout the tower (maybe only in side rooms that no longer go up or are special in some way, I more consistently find them there but who knows for sure). They are just upgraded versions of the normal beasts, but more importantly they drop upgraded versions of the mushrooms and give a ton of XP. So the best way to use them is to just kill them for their superior golden mushroom variants on a new character so you can get some quick and easy levels and a good mushroom to save for boss fights or crowd control in a difficult floor.
  106.
  107.
  108. BOSS HELP (aka what mushrooms to eat)
  109.
  110. -COEN
  111. He's blind, which should be obvious. Crouching will make him unable to find you and he'll just attack in a blind rage around himself, use it to get some distance and heal up or take a breather. Mostly just a health sponge, just keep sprinting around him and take your time chipping away.
  112.
  113. -JIN-DIE
  114. The first fight against her is probably the roughest just because you don't have access to the shrooms to make it piss easy. The best strategy is to use cover and sprint then dropkick her repeatedly, it just takes time and practice. Other times you fight her are very easy, just eat a Transparagus/the invisible mushroom (found on floors 12-19 but kind of rare) and she won’t be able to find you and will just sit there. Eat a Stingshroom (from killing scorpions) and you can easily kill her on other encounters. If you ever see her glowing red run behind her ASAP, she's about to laser the fuck out of you.
  115.
  116. -GOTO
  117. Very easy boss with the right tactic. Transparagus/invisible shroom will also make him not react to you, once he starts glowing red from damage he's going to try and heal. Throw down a Stingshroom (from Scorpions) and eat a Stingshroom yourself. He'll get the effects of the shroom, reducing his defense, and you'll be able to kill him easily.

  137. MATERIALS (some materials are more common on specific floors or in specific rooms, eventually this list will be updated but if you explore in these general ranges you can find the materials and just make a note to yourself which side rooms had the most of the materials you need as they would likely have them again) (look at the fucking spreadsheet above this paragraph)

  179. -Where do I get green metal MILK metal or any of those?
  180. You have to beat certain bosses, or complete certain quests. Difficulty 1 quests have blue, 2 have green, 3 have black and 4 have red. The numbers also correspond to floors, so bosses AND the gold chests (those in trap treasure rooms) can have blue metal on floors 1-9, green metal on floors 11-19, and so on. The golden chest on floor 22 is a good place for not Candle Wolf Black Metal, it’s an annoying metal to get in general but that’s the best spot. (see below for convenient chart form, thanks to an anon)
  181.
  182. Metal Colors:
  183. 1-10 = Blue

  214.

  268. /litg/ Loot Theory (Take with a grain of salt till more testing can be done) Thanks >>163564715
  269.
  270. "The Loot Algorithm works very very odd, its different for each fighter class, each has their own set of RNG, Here's some examples in order of rarity:
  271.
  272. Striker (My Main fighter) gets usually Assault sets, Priest Sets, Night scout set, phantom soldier set then barely a knight part
  273.
  274. Then i switched to a skill master and it gave me the rare sets like as if its nothing, goes from night scout, phantom soldier, sengoku set and the barely assault set
  275.
  276. I knew it was supposed to be based on classes because i tried a different fighter with the same class and it gave me the same results, so i switched more and more fighters until i chose the shooter and it gave me the knight set like it was nothing, in less than 2 runs
  277.
  278. Did not test this for weapons so i dunno. Hope this data helps you guys
