  3. [2014-03-29 16:39:47] <SpiritOfFate> It is afternoon of the following day. A pick up truck rushes through the abandoned suburbs, headed towards Last Stop.
  4. [2014-03-29 16:41:27] * Hawkeye keeps her eye on the road and her jaw clamped shut. She's not entirely unfamiliar with driving, but it's not her special talent by any means. Arriving a little early is professional, and also gives extra time to look for a possible ambush. The feeling of wind flowing through her mane from the open window is a little soothing, at least.

[2014-03-29 16:44:05] * Ignis is at the back seat of the truck...because he didn't said shotgun quickly enough, to his dismay...either way, the dragon looks around the desolate landscape, weaponry in claw...his nose picks up a multitude of scents as he pokes his muzzle across the window, the wastes...well, all the preparation had led to this moment, it'd better be good.
  6. [2014-03-29 16:44:59] * Firefly is in the back of the truck, hiding under a tarp. She keeps an ear out, though she is completely covered up.
  7. [2014-03-29 16:45:48] * Royal_Lace sits with Sotho on the outskirts of town, "I hope things turn out well... for all of us that is, you know?"
  8. [2014-03-29 16:46:03] * Wintergreen lays in the back close to Firefly, making sure she doesn't fly off.
  9. [2014-03-29 16:46:29] * Sotho nods to Royal_Lace. "I hope so as well."
  10. [2014-03-29 16:46:33] * Firefly is currently in her batmare costume, and is reading one of the Daring Do comics in the dim light.
  11. [2014-03-29 16:49:44] * Royal_Lace sighs, "So what do we do from here? After this that is, assuming that this gos off well I mean. If this is Fireflys parents, if we get them back, what next? We have been working on this for a while"
  12. [2014-03-29 16:50:09] * Hawkeye continues driving on in the dusk. "Be ready for anything," she calls back to the others. "Slavers ain't known for payin' or deliverin' goods when they don't have to, but they'll usually do business." She tighens her fetlocks' grip on the steering wheel and tries to ignore the nagging pit in the bottom of her stomach.
  13. [2014-03-29 16:50:36] <SpiritOfFate> Firefly hears a faint echo of a crowd cheering some blocks far away, but only Hawkeye sees a cloaked figure crossing a street one block to the right. Whoever it is, it's large.
  14. [2014-03-29 16:51:26] * Firefly raises an ear. "Ooooh, what's that? Is someone playing hoofball?"
  15. [2014-03-29 16:52:23] * Hawkeye slows the vehicle a little and nudges her copilot. "Shady feller over to the right. Be ready fer trouble," she warns as she steers toward the sounds of cheering.

  27. [2014-03-29 17:17:12] * Hawkeye looks around for a parking lot and nudges the truck onto the dilapidated and degraded blacktop. "Ah hope this ain't a big auction or nothin, because this could get more complicated than Ah generally like..."
  28. [2014-03-29 17:18:04] * Firefly peeks out from under the tarp. "Is this where we're supposed to go?"
  29. [2014-03-29 17:19:12] * Hawkeye shakes her head. "Ah don't think so, Ah think we were looking for the train station, but Ah ain't familiar with the area," she says. "Anypony else know where it is?"
  30. [2014-03-29 17:20:44] * Ignis pokes his head off the window. "Whatever you do, don't drive into that stadium...at ground level, we'd be sitting ducks for anypony with a leverage high there."
  31. [2014-03-29 17:22:19] * Hawkeye nods. "Ah don't want t'get involved with anypony we don't have to. This area ain't safe." The sniper keeps looking around as she pulls back out onto the road and keeps driving toward their proper destination.
  32. [2014-03-29 17:22:39] <SpiritOfFate> The hooded figure enters an alley moving away from the stadium. You get a glimpse of raiders gathered around the entrance of the stadium.
  33. [2014-03-29 17:25:32] * Ignis pins his gaze on the commotion around the stadium...it would be bad having raiders tailing them, yet, nothing he and his buds couldn't handle, probably a stray or a couple...still, wouldn't hurt to keep one's eyes open

  44. [2014-03-29 17:38:50] <Spirit0fFate> The vehicle quickly makes his way out of the suburbs. One hour later you are all at the surroundings of Last Stop
  45. [2014-03-29 17:39:24] * Royal_Lace points out the approching vehical to Sotho, "look, there they are now". She waves to the truck and her friends.
  46. [2014-03-29 17:40:07] * Hawkeye pulls the vehicle to a stop and kills the motor and lights. "Alright. Let's get this over with," she says to the ponies in the truck, and begins walking to the meeting place, the briefcase of caps and her personal arsenal both plainly visible.
  47. [2014-03-29 17:40:14] * Sotho nods. "So they are." He says.
  48. [2014-03-29 17:40:48] * Royal_Lace trots after Hawkeye and looks up at the sky, "Jamal and the rest of the mercenaries should be meeting up there I belive"
  49. [2014-03-29 17:41:28] * Firefly sits in the back of the truck, waiting for if she is needed.
  50. [2014-03-29 17:41:35] * Ignis hops off from the truck in order to investigate the surroundings. "You got them into the loop and everything?"
  51. [2014-03-29 17:42:45] <Spirit0fFate> The mercenaries land around the group just after their arrival. They stay silent and keep their guns ready.
  52. [2014-03-29 17:43:23] * Firefly stays hidden under the tarp, ready to leap out in case of any trouble.
  53. [2014-03-29 17:43:54] * Hawkeye nods. "They know what's going on. Providin' nopony decides to be an idjit and start a shootin' fight, this'll be the easiest four hundred caps they ever make," Hawkeye says. "Someone wanna help me identify the ones we're buyin'?"
  54. [2014-03-29 17:44:11] * Wintergreen hops off of the truck and follows Hawkeye.
  55. [2014-03-29 17:45:37] * Hawkeye looks at Wintergreen. "Uh, they know y'all though don't they?" she says. "Can we get you a hat, or a mask, or sommat?"
  56. [2014-03-29 17:46:20] * Wintergreen nods. "They do know me," Wintergreen frowns. "I could bandage up my face?"
  57. [2014-03-29 17:47:03] * Royal_Lace horn glows and there is a flash as she continues to walk forward, now a griffin with snowy white plumage with a fringe of gold and orange feathers atop her head. "I think ill manage my own disguise"
  58. [2014-03-29 17:47:24] * Hawkeye looks at Royal_Lace. "If it ain't too much trouble, she could do the same for you," the sniper suggests.
  59. [2014-03-29 17:47:35] * Ignis decides much to lollygag around, trying to discern any landmarks of interest where there could be any swag waiting to be appropriated or potential advantageous spots around the last stop, well...here's to luck.
  60. [2014-03-29 17:48:26] * Royal_Lace smiles and nods with her new beak, "Its a bit of a drain but I think I could manage"
  61. [2014-03-29 17:51:20] * Hawkeye nods. "Better safe than sorry," she says. "Muh stomach's hurtin' something fierce, and Ah just wanna be done with all this."
  62. [2014-03-29 17:51:21] <Spirit0fFate> Last Stop still has its usual general, weaponry and part stores on the old hotel, as well as the bar. All of them watched by their owners so difficult to take anything from. The roof of the hotel is a good spot for sniping, allowing for view of all the town.
  63. [2014-03-29 17:52:08] * Royal_Lace looks to wintergreen, "Well its up to you dear, are you confident in making due with bandages?"
  64. [2014-03-29 17:53:00] * Ignis discretely tries to discern the hotel's own security measures...did they had guards on their own, or robots or...something?
  65. [2014-03-29 17:53:11] * Wintergreen shakes her head. "If you can use your magic, it would be prefered..."
  66. [2014-03-29 17:53:45] * Hawkeye eyes the hotel rooftop wistfully. "Wish Ah didn't have to be down here on the ground," she says with a frown. "Ah don't feel good talkin' if the deal suddenly changes or some dumb thing. Ah'd rather be up there puttin' bullets in the baddies if things go south."
  67. [2014-03-29 17:54:27] <Spirit0fFate> The hotel doesnt seem to have guards. The only obvious security of the town is a watchtower with a riflepony watching over the road to the raider infested suburbs
  68. [2014-03-29 17:54:56] * Sotho looks over. "Should I remain here?"
  69. [2014-03-29 17:55:44] * Hawkeye grits her teeth. "Stay within hollerin' distance," she warns. "And bring Firefly with ya. If this thing erupts into a firefight, Ah want our strongest sluggers close at hoof."
  70. [2014-03-29 17:55:49] * Royal_Lace pulls Wintergreen towards a corner away from veiw, "Then follow me for a moment dear, also what would you prepfer? Scales, feathers, maybe stripes?"
  71. [2014-03-29 17:56:47] * Wintergreen shrugs. "Feathers? I suppose."
  72. [2014-03-29 17:57:05] * Firefly peeks out from under the tarp. "This place is nice and close. And I can prevent someone from messing with the truck, like when Laughing Stallion tried to booby-trap the Batmare's car in issue 538.

  74. [2014-03-29 17:57:25] * Ignis scoots over to the rest of the group. "This doesn't make any sense...one guard to fend the settlement from a raider incursion...there's something more to this, I know it does...they probably settled a deal with a 3rd party ou either pay service taxes to the raiders..."
  75. [2014-03-29 17:58:45] <Spirit0fFate> The sun sets over Last Stop. The locals start to gather up in the bar. The moonlight grows over you.
  76. [2014-03-29 17:59:21] <Hawkeye> "Ah don't like it neither, but so long as we play nice and don't get on the area's bad side, we're less likely to get in a pickle," Hawkeye says. "Let's do this. Ah'm as ready as Ah'm gonna get."
  77. [2014-03-29 17:59:31] * Royal_Lace nods and flashes with light as her eyes glow, waving her tallons as she poofs Wintertgreen into a Griffin version of herself before rejoining the group.
  78. [2014-03-29 18:00:44] <Spirit0fFate> You can see a pony pulled carriage stopping on the other side of the small town.
  79. [2014-03-29 18:00:49] * Wintergreen smiles, following after Lace.
  80. [2014-03-29 18:01:32] * Hawkeye nods to the others. "That must be it. Wish us luck, and if not luck, close air support," she says. The sniper begins trotting toward the newly-arrived carriage.
  81. [2014-03-29 18:01:59] * Ignis stands idle near the truck, it was best to simply allow the gals to use their charms...or tenacity, in Hawkeye's case, to settle the deal.
  82. [2014-03-29 18:04:31] * Royal_Lace whispers to the others, "If they ask my name is Lacey, and Lace is a nickname"
  83. [2014-03-29 18:06:58] <Hawkeye> "And yours is Tango," Hawkeye says with a chuckle, nodding to Wintergreen. "All we need is a Whisky and a Foxtrot and we'll be all set." She continues on toward the carriage.
  84. [2014-03-29 18:07:50] * Wintergreen nods, and Tango follows Hawkeye!
  85. [2014-03-29 18:09:18] * Ignis has the feeling they are being watched...
  86. [2014-03-29 18:09:47] <Spirit0fFate> A plasma caster wielding hellhound wearing leather armor and an emerald necklace leaves the carriage, rushing to the Armory.
  87. [2014-03-29 18:10:48] * Sotho stands back in the truck
  88. [2014-03-29 18:11:45] * Royal_Lace watches teh HellHounds making haste to the armory and glances to Hawkeye as they walk. "What do you make of that?"
  89. [2014-03-29 18:12:08] * Hawkeye freezes and watches the hellhounds. "That's no good. If they think they can get the drop on us..." She looks at her necklace. "Ah want this more than anythin' right now, and damn if I'm gonna let a couple big pups with fancy guns scare me off doing the right thing." The sniper picks up the pace. "HEY!" she shouts. "You folks with the plantation?"
  90. [2014-03-29 18:14:29] <Spirit0fFate> Ignis sees Doodad talking to another hellhound behind the bar.
  91. [2014-03-29 18:16:28] * Ignis goes to the bar and without much forethought, walks up to Doodad and picks up the overweight pony by the gruff of his neck. "...and what do you think you're doing here?" He asks, quite not much amused.
  92. [2014-03-29 18:17:25] <Spirit0fFate> The hellhound looks down at Hawkeye. "YES." He grunts and calls two figures in scrap armor out of the Armory. They are ponies wielding a strange sort of improvised large caliber gun. "DEAL THERE." He points back to the carriage
  93. [2014-03-29 18:19:00] * Royal_Lace marches towards the carriage, "Come along boss, lets get this over and done with so we can start our way home with your new property. Alright?"
  94. [2014-03-29 18:19:35] * Hawkeye balks. "Uhhhh huh. Uh uh." She stops Lace. "Y'all expect me to get into a confined space with a ton of guns pointed at it? Ah came here aimin' to buy slaves, not become one," she says. "Lemme see the goods first, then ah'll get in yer trap box and talk."
  95. [2014-03-29 18:22:32] <Spirit0fFate> "Y-you?!" Doodad steps behind the hellhound. "You see! Even talking. They are maniacs on a delusional war." He says to the hellhound.
  96. [2014-03-29 18:23:34] * Royal_Lace looks to Hawkeye, "Miss I belive the deal is happening near the carriage, not in it. The deal was to have the meeting in town I belive, isnt that correct sir?", she asks the Hell Hound with a smile.

  98. [2014-03-29 18:26:25] * Ignis grins deviously. "Yes, me." The dragon voices. "You brought this upon yourself, you fatass." The dragon clings on every syllabe. "And now you're trying to use the hounds to cover your sorry ass while you try to scrounge something from it." He says, looking at the dog. "Trust me, this bag of lard isn't worth fighting for, not one bit."

  100. [2014-03-29 18:32:15] <Spirit0fFate> Doodad yells as he is grabbed, the hellhound tries to pull him away but Ignis' grip is too strong. "N-nothing, I'm doing nothing!" Doodad says.
  101. [2014-03-29 18:32:22] <Spirit0fFate> The hellhound steps away. "Dragon." He grunts.
  102. [2014-03-29 18:32:50] * Hawkeye walks cautiously toward the carriage, carefully eying the makeshift guns. Makeshift weaponry sometimes explodes, and not in a good way...
  103. [2014-03-29 18:33:07] <Spirit0fFate> The hellhound by the armory nods to Royal_Lace, guiding all of them back to the carriage.
  104. [2014-03-29 18:33:48] <Spirit0fFate> The weapons seem to be some sort of magnetically enhanced railway rifle.
  105. [2014-03-29 18:35:29] * Ignis glares at the hellhound. "This business is between me and him, hound." The dragon says, then glares at his captive pony. "Do I look that stupid to you? You seriously believe that I am dead-on retarded to believe that, by chance, you are here on this particular day because of a whim or because of a wacked coincidence? Oh, no no no no..."
  106. [2014-03-29 18:35:56] <Ignis> He smiles wickedly and trails a finger under Doodad's fair chin. "You know...I always thought of you as a very /flammable/ person...now you can either start singing your tune or we can play."
  107. [2014-03-29 18:36:11] * Hawkeye follows along, wary of the railgun railrifles, her shotgun loose in its sling for easy access. "Y'all sure are well armed," she comments. "Y'all put those together yourselves? Mighty impressive, if y'all was expectin' to fight Steel Rangers instead of just make a sale."
  108. [2014-03-29 18:36:13] * Royal_Lace Smiles and nods in thanks to the HellHound as the group close the distance to the carriage. So long as everyone kept cool heads she didnt see why this couldnt be an easy trade, caps for lives. it made her feel dirty but she was confident in the long run they could bring the Hounds organization down.
  109. [2014-03-29 18:38:09] <Spirit0fFate> One of the armored ponies smiles. "We just take pride on our guns."
  110. [2014-03-29 18:38:44] <Hawkeye> "Ah would too, if Ah had one like that," Hawkeye says with a smirk. "Don't suppose it comes in a shotgun or long-rifle version?"
  111. [2014-03-29 18:41:35] <Spirit0fFate> The black furred hellhound close to Ignis just opens a toothed grin and turns away. "Have fun."
  112. [2014-03-29 18:43:07] <Spirit0fFate> The armored pony shakes his head. "We even do have long rifles based on these, but it's exclusive to Railway workers."
  113. [2014-03-29 18:43:14] * Ignis whistles, enjoying each moment of watching Doodad scramble what is left of his pissy brains to come up with an answer. "I'm waiting"
  114. [2014-03-29 18:44:07] * Hawkeye snorts. "Balls an' a half. Might have to get me a job with the railroad at some point," she says as she walks up to the carriage. "Now what?"
  115. [2014-03-29 18:44:29] <Spirit0fFate> "T-talking, just talking!" Doodad tries to shrink, but his size only lets him seem a bit more pathetic.
  116. [2014-03-29 18:48:09] * Ignis nods to it. "Talking...you enjoy talking, huh?" The dragon belatedly says. "How about we talk now for a change, then? Think of it as...a "precautionary custody." " The dragon says. "Its far more than you ever gave me, I'm on a generous mood today." He does comment. "We are just going to sit down here and talk for some quality time, by the way, what exactly were you talking about with a dog?"
  117. [2014-03-29 18:49:38] <Spirit0fFate> The emerald wearing hellhound knocks on the door and grunts something. Soon after another hellhound appears, taller and older, covered in greyish fur. His left arm is even more oversized than the usual ones from hellhounds, but its covered in growths and what seem to be leaves. it seems paralyzed to the shoulder. He is covered in necklaces, earrings and his right claw is full of rings. He holds a wooden staff with a large amber.
  118. [2014-03-29 18:51:38] * Hawkeye tips her hat to the grey-furred newcomer. "Howdy, mister. Y'all must be the boss. Ah'm Hawkeye." She offers him a hoof. "Gotta admit, Ah'm already impressed by your ahn-too-rahj, and Ah ain't even seen the product yet."
  119. [2014-03-29 18:52:20] <Spirit0fFate> The old hellhound gestures to the back of the carriage before approaching the ponies. He observes all of them and seems somewhat disappointed. "Very well. I am Overgrowth. I decided to make sure this deal will be fulfilled properly, personally." He shakes Hawkeye's hoof.
  120. [2014-03-29 18:53:43] <Hawkeye> "Mighty kind of y'all," Hawkeye says, pushing her hat back on her head. "Business is better when it goes smooth an' clean. So let's get to it, shall we?"
  121. [2014-03-29 18:57:02] <Spirit0fFate> The emerald wearing hellhound pulls along two ponies. One is a mare, it seems to have been eating very poorly for the last week and she is missing her left wing, but her eyes still burn with strength. The other one, a stallion, seems even stronger than last seen, though he has some strangely colored veins and stays bandaged. Wintergreen knows these ponies well.

  123. [2014-03-29 18:58:27] * Royal_Lace winces at the sight of the missing wing and glances to Hawkeye, clearing her throat, "Boss should we have tango inspect the merchandise?"
  124. [2014-03-29 18:59:46] * Wintergreen walks over to the pair, trying to hide her growing smile. "I believe these two will do nicely." She nods to Hawkeye.
  125. [2014-03-29 19:00:21] * Hawkeye snorts. "Ah. Ah can see what y'all meant," Hawkeye says with a sneer. "That'd keep 'er from gettin' away all right. Can't say Ah approve of damaged goods, but then again, she don't need 'em to breed." The sniper looks over at Royal_Lace. "Yeah, make sure they're healthy enough to travel and that the stallion ain't cut." She nods to Wintergreen, then turns to Overgrowth. "Feller looks sick....
  126. [2014-03-29 19:00:23] * Hawkeye ...Side effect of your mind-control meds?"
  127. [2014-03-29 19:01:27] <Spirit0fFate> "J-just, just what happened." Doodad says, shaking. "You meant it to be like this so there is nothing wrong, right? You can't keep it a secret."
  128. [2014-03-29 19:03:58] * Royal_Lace nods to Wingergreen, assuming that this ment they were in fact the ponies they were hopeing for.
  129. [2014-03-29 19:05:15] <Spirit0fFate> A dark furred hellhound approaches the emerald wearing one.
  130. [2014-03-29 19:05:37] * Ignis places Doodad back on his seat. "Yes, that is adequate." The dragon muses. "As long as you don't try to somehow work your way around to it..." He does remark. "We're not too eager for another bloodshed, and neither should you." He spares a glance towards the carriage where the others were dealing.
  131. [2014-03-29 19:09:58] * Hawkeye watches the newcomer with vague interest. "It's already late, and Ah got plans fer later, so if we could finish this up in a timely manner, Ah'd appreciate it."
  132. [2014-03-29 19:11:10] <Spirit0fFate> "I can assure you, he is perfectly healthy and fit for his purpose. The supplements were planned by our best specialist to minimize wear." Overgrowth says. "I can agree, there are matters to attend to. Do you have the proper amount of caps?"
  133. [2014-03-29 19:11:53] <Spirit0fFate> The emerald wearing hellhound approaches Overgrowth and whispers to him.
  134. [2014-03-29 19:16:49] <Spirit0fFate> Hawkeye hears the whisper, difficult to understand from their rough grunted voices, but it sounds like. "Dragon here. Angry at pony boss." Overgrowth smiles subtly.
  135. [2014-03-29 19:19:29] * Hawkeye twitches an ear, but otherwise doesn't react. "Caps are all here, just what y'all asked for," Hawkeye says, hefting the briefcase and setting it down in front of the grey Hellhound. "Had to bag 'em up a bit because loose caps are a pain in the ass. Got someone to count 'em for you?" She looks Overgrowth in the eye unflinchingly.

She begins adjusting the chains and affixing a bomb collar to each of Firefly's parents' necks, tuned to her own detonator. "Ah have to say, this has been less trouble than Ah was expecting. Always refreshing to meet someone who just does business."

Before y'all climb in the back, Y'all have to promise not to make big loud noises until we're clear of town, no matter what y'all see, arright?" she says, and nudges the tarp. "Same goes for you, half-pint."
  154. [2014-03-29 19:40:25] * Firefly grumbles from the back of the truck. "I am the night."
  155. [2014-03-29 19:40:52] * Royal_Lace looks to Wintergreen, "The fixer is back at the camp right or did you bring some for them?"

[2014-03-29 19:44:20] * Royal_Lace Smiles and holds up the fixer to look at them before passing them back, "Oh thank you but I think you should administer them, being both well trained and an old family frined...", Turning to the pegasus she grins, "By the way, sorry it to so long to get you out of there, where the rescue party"
  163. [2014-03-29 19:45:08] <Spirit0fFate> Falling Snow whispers. "Firefly."
  164. [2014-03-29 19:45:19] * Hawkeye uncovers a Firefly! "No loud noises," she reminds. "Oh, and them collars ain't armed. Y'all can take 'em right off. Just get in the truck and we'll explain later."
  165. [2014-03-29 19:45:53] <Spirit0fFate> Solar Fury whispers. "Our Firefly? Snowy? Are we free?" He is still blindfolded.
  166. [2014-03-29 19:46:26] * Firefly pauses for a moment before lifting up the mask, her eyes filled with happy tears. "Momma? Pappa?" She jumps up and pounces on the pair, hugging them tightly.

  168. [2014-03-29 19:46:59] * Wintergreen smiles warmly. "It's good to see the two of you again."
  169. [2014-03-29 19:47:24] * Hawkeye reaches to uncover the stallion's eyes but stops. She's all too familiar with having to cover up an eye or two. "Get in and let's get going. NOW. We don't wanna tussle with raiders in our current state, and I ain't a stellar night driver."
  170. [2014-03-29 19:47:59] <Spirit0fFate> They hold their dear daughter and each other tight, tearing up. "Oh, thank you."
  171. [2014-03-29 19:48:23] <Spirit0fFate> Snow pulls Fury to the car.
  172. [2014-03-29 19:48:44] * Firefly keeps her wings out of the way, the blades still on them and keeps both her mother and father in a tight grip. She's crying softly as she holds them both.
  173. [2014-03-29 19:49:13] * Hawkeye pulls the tarp over them and gets back into the cab, starting the truck up and readying to drive off once everyone else is on board.
  174. [2014-03-29 19:49:19] <Sotho> "Now, Let's get going back to the yard. I've got a nice big meal to cook and another big surprise." He smiles at the scene.

  176. [2014-03-29 19:51:08] <Hawkeye> Once everyone is secure, Hawkeye drives back toward the Scrapyard, careful not to let her guard down until everyone is TRULY safe.
