  1. Conan exiles top 8 base spot list
  2. Why I picked these locations:
  3.
  4. #1 Messengers Respite -
  5. To be honest we're looking at the number 1 PVE base spot right here, This plateau is a large open flat space, plentiful with trees, rocks and bushes.
  6. It's on the edge of the jungle with 2 access points, and another 2 on the other side which give you access to two camps, one being a dafari camp which harbours a high priest spawner and archers and fighters, the other being a zamorian mix camp which has spawners for tanners/fighters/archers/cooks/taskmasters you name it pretty much every spawn you need and they come in high tier such as T3.
  7. Theirs plenty of metal in the area so building in high tier is ready available.
  8. Theirs 2 local boss points one being the white tiger boss spawner + the island across harbours the tree giant boss.
  9.
  10. cons- crystal and brimstone is a sprint away, your nearest points from here would be the cave near Mitra's serenity or the imp cave near the starting zone. Purges can pretty much attack from any side, same for people which is why this is more ideal for pve players.
  11.
  12. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13. #2 The Cavern -
  14. Second on our list and funnily enough the best PVP base spot in the game currently, this cave is tucked away in between the highlands zone & the Tundra.
  15. It is hard to find unless you know what you're looking for, or have watched my video (lol)
  16. Incredibly easy to defend and if you lay it out well the purge will only attack you from two spots (the pit on the top or the riverside entrance) Making only 1 of them a problem.
  17. Your most local spots for thralls is either the mounds of the dead with the forgotten tribe or the 3 towers, each have direct routes from the Cavern and both camps are fully equipped with all you need and high in tier including a couple of t4 spawners.
  18. Theirs a hidden hole near the bear entrance in the ceiling remember to patch that up or there is 2 slots in there you could probably put bedrooms in.
  19. There is absolutely tonnes of metal and coal in this region, and black ice is only a short jog away.
  20. Your nearest boss is by the sword circle and he is the tree boss.
  21.
  22. cons- To get animal kills you have to travel, there is a few king elk spawners nearby but if your looking for more specific pelts your have to travel, although thick hide is not an issue here. aloe is also very far away from here (I recommend you go find the spiced haunch recipe) brimstone & crystal is very far from here.
  23.
  24. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25. #3 Relic-watchers Rise -
  26. A great spot for all those thrall taming enthusiasts, pretty much opposite the city of Serperamaru this plateau is a great place to locate, the reason i chose this lump of hill instead of the closer one to the city is because the city collision can reach the other place making a few dark spots that you cannot build on although you could connect both locations in theory.
  27. Plenty of all basic resources/metals/coal.
  28. I'd say it's more of a PVE location just for the fact you will be easily spotted from here, although you could defend is quite easily on it's high perch.
  29. 1 recommendation i'd give you it make sure you make an access point for the purge with this spot otherwise the game will spawn it inside your base.
  30. Your nearest bosses are the scorpion king & the hive queen (Reaver queen) and they both have boss crates.
  31. There is also a local obelisk which is handy.
  32.
  33. cons- You're easily found, you're on the far side of the map which can make it a pain if you wish to travel or trade. crystal is far away. Trebuchets might be a problem.
  34.
  35. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36. #4 Dagons Cove -
  37. An ideal little spot for the Ewoks within you, you can be quite creative in this little zone.
  38. Although the plateau isn't large in size there are 2 trees you can use- (go wild!)
  39. This area is great to be honest, 1 of the reasons why is just across the water you have the Derketo shrine one of the highest T4 spawning regions on the map (T4-armourer,cook,carpenter,fighter,priest and so on) and also all the other spawns you need also spawn there.
  40. The amount of thick hide carrying creatures in the area is insane.
  41. 2 local bosses, the spider & the swamp monstrosity (swamp rhino)
  42. All resources are pretty plentiful in this zone.
  43. It's out of the way, so it's pretty well hidden. Also you can dive for brimstone & crystal (i believe, although it might just be brimstone)
  44.
  45. cons- You're on the edge of the map so travelling might be a pain without a map room. Not the biggest of spaces you may have to improvise. You will need to make an access point for the purge otherwise they will spawn in your base. Not for low level players (unless you have madskillz mlg ect ect) due too the volume of higher tier creatures such as Gorillas, Rhinos, Komodo dragons.
  46.
  47. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48. #5 Waterfall Serenity -
  49. This is a good staple location for PVE players although it can be modified too fit PVP also.
  50. Spiders, deers galore in this region and also there is quite a bit of metal around the river side if you go up a bit.
  51. 3 Local bosses, the spider, the snake & the undead dragon.
  52. Water & basic resources is plentiful here, there is also a brimstone cave which could make you a good focus trader for the yellow stuff.
  53. You have 5 local camps, 2 dafari, 2 mixes, 1 mitran. So thralls are good in number here although you may struggle to find a good taskmaster so you might have to travel for that.
  54. Lots of flat space for you too utilise ideal for a fort.
  55.
  56. cons- This can be a busy access area due too the brimstone cave and the fact theirs a high mitra priest spawner. Also there are a number of engrams to be learnt in the area (blowkiss, aqua dance and another one i can't remember probably an emote i never use)
  57. There is a big dungeon nearby with spooky scary skeletons, on official you might want a nice sturdy wall because it is possible to drag the undead dragon boss out of the dungeon (you know what trolls are like).
  58.
  59. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60. #6 Crystalline Chasm
  61. Now why did I pick this spot huh, adds some variety to my list + there are good places in the snow region, this being my favourite. Now it might be cold and far from the rest of society but if you're a PVP-er that's exactly what your looking for right? Because it's so high up it's easy to defend and this region is a very low traffic zone.
  62. Your local boss is king rock nose, hes up behind this location.
  63. Plentiful in trees, rocks black ice/ice, metal.
  64. It's a nice flat spot, with only 1/2 entrances up depending on what side you chose too build on or if you pick both.
  65. Ice giants can be farmed, there are lots of wolves/sabertooths and mammoths although if you need normal hide that maybe an issue here.
  66.
  67. cons- On a far corner of the map, crystal & brimstone is far away, normal hide isn't really plentiful here, cold, no thralls to tame nearby (your nearest will be the forgotten tribe). You may want to block the top of the hill off to stop people sliding down like morons although not a lot of people know of this spot.
  68.
  69. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70. #7 Hunters Hill
  71. A great central location, this is defiantly for the PVErs. Due to the fact you can be attacked from all sides it isn't ideal for PVP. Although it does have a lot of perks, there are plenty of animal spawns round here, crocodiles, hyenas, kudos, deer, skeletons, imps ect.
  72. The nearest boss is the crocodile boss & albino bat.
  73. Aloe, and basic resources are extremely plentiful that and metal & coal. There is a local crystal cave.
  74. Several camps nearby for thrall taming although the downfall of this is it's mostly dafari so finding those higher tier specialists might not be as easy.
  75. Lots of flat space, you could kit out the whole top part if you were looking to make a mega base or an RP castle.
  76.
  77. cons- Not ideal for pvp, purge can attack from all sides. Brimstone is a bit of a hike away. Thick hide might be something you might have to travel into the undead city for.
  78.
  79. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80. #8 The Shattered Basin
  81. Another treasure of a spot, Absolutely ideal for the PVP players. This is like The Cavern 2.0 and not many people come across this hidden little location. Easy to defend, with only 2 access points.
  82. The savanna is right next door and also if you were to go along the water you can find more cave like dips in the cliff face.
  83. Plenty of thick hide and feline pelts to be harvested.
  84. Trees are a bit scarce unless you go up into the highlands section, same goes for metal.
  85. Local bosses are the Black rhino, Elephant boss, white tiger boss & the crocodile boss.
  86. It's nice because this place is pretty central.
  87.
  88. cons- Thrall camps are quite a stretch away, For big structures you may have too use the top of the cliff or improvise with something in the water. Some people can find the space a little claustrophobic. Basic resources you have to travel more for unless it's rocks.
