  179. Martin Baron fires his shotgun at the remaining Mutt, but can't get a handle on the new weapon! Pellets fly but miss their mark.
  180.
  181. GM (GM): (( Combat is fast today. Wonder if it's the music?

  183. Martin Baron: ( Well we did give them the Vietnam treatment )

  185. Clayton R.: (( I'm listening to the Killer Instinct soundtrack. ))
  186.
  187. GM (GM): ((Yeah, if it's spread then it's range is 150 feet.)

  189. Claudius Silvanus pulls out his recently re-aquired gun and fires a 3-rounder at the Mutt
  190.
  191. Martin Baron: ( I got the combat music from Darkest Dungeon on )
  192.
  193. GM (GM): Oh, deer.
  194. Truely men of refined music taste.

  201. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100+20
  202. (79)+20= 99
  203.
  204. GM (GM): ((That's actually as -oh wow that roll- contested point. Most game devs favor the logic that once it's out of the barrel you can't really control it and thus your stats don't play a part.
  205. Roll damage!
  206. +60 damage.
  207.
  208. Martin Baron: ( You curve the bullet by slinging the gun around )

  214. DJ-Max: (You're truly an assassian.)
  215.
  216. GM (GM): Cracking thunder as the last mutt is literally torn to shreds under your volley.
  217.
  218. Combat Over
  219.
  220. Oh, hey, there's a raccoon man standing right next to you guys there!
  221.
  222. Clayton R. looks back over at Claud, impressed with his weapon now that he had finally seen it in action.
  223.
  224. clearly he is off hostile intent! Reload and fire@
  225.
  226. Martin Baron lets out a sigh of relief. He reloads the shotgun, feeling fortunate that they didn't get any closer.
  227.
  228. C. Jeffrey: (Oh boy)
  229.
  230. Martin Baron: ( I roll to shotgun him )
  231.
  232. Claudius Silvanus locks the magazine in place to avoid a missfire and disengages the power "It's a beauty!"
  233.
  234. Clayton R. looks back into the abyss of darkness for a moment, surveying the area for anything of note.
  235.
  236. Clayton R.: rolling 1d100+30
  237. (27)+30= 57
  238.
  239. Martin Baron: ( He's right next to the Jeep )
  240.
  241. Cas Hutson peers out to the darkness, at the direction of where the mutts were, not saying a word.
  242.
  243. GM (GM): Heat Signature!
  244.
  245. Clayton R.: (( I meant out in the area the mutts were. ))
  246.
  247. Martin Baron: ( Ah. )
  248.
  249. Clayton R.: (( Ah, is it the mutts smoldering corpses? ))
  250.
  251. GM (GM): You see alot of darkness.
  252.
  253. Claudius Silvanus jumps off the jeep and slowly starts walking towards the mutts
  254.
  255. DJ-Max follows behind Claudius!
  256.
  257. DJ-Max figures no one should go alone... buddy system.
  258.
  259. Clayton R. holds back, if even out of a bit of spite. He looks back at the raccoon. "You live here?"
  260.
  261. Martin Baron looks about the area for any other signs of Mutts, instead taking notice of the raccoon standing near the Jeep. "Hey, you alright?"
  262.
  263. Clayton R.: (( I swear I see GM moving something ))
  264.
  265. Martin Baron: ( It's probably an entire brigade of topsiders with bazookas )
  266.
  267. Cas Hutson: (Oh lord no)
  268.
  269. C. Jeffrey stands nonplussed. He eyes Clayton and responds, "Nah, just wandering."
  270.
  271. Clayton R. calls back to others briefly. "Careful, hHUD picked up a heat signature nearby."
  272.
  273. GM (GM): You walk into the darkness.
  274. You can make out the wreckage of the mutts but in the wake of their corpse fire you see little.
  275.
  276. Claudius Silvanus looks back at DJ "You know... one of our clients had a robot butler like this. Always wanted to see what's inside..."
  277.
  278. Clayton R.: (( I'm gonna roll perception one more time to check for more stuff with the interface bonus from the helmet. ))
  279. rolling 1d100+30
  280. (68)+30= 98
  281.
  282. Clayton R. looks out into the darkness while the raccoon spoke to him. "How'd you end up here then?"
  283.
  284. Cas Hutson turns his head towards direction of where the raccoon is at, keeping his 9mm Blue close.
  285.
  286. DJ-Max looks over the mutts as they grow closer. "Lookin' real similar makes it kinda weird I guess..." he says crossing his arms and making a small pout of sorts "...Course never really saw one of them butlers anyway."
  287.
  288. GM (GM): calcing
  289. Clayton! You see two humanoid figures! Both right on your right!
  290.
  291. C. Jeffrey puts his hands in his pockets and shrugs. "Just going one direction, I suppose."
  292.
  293. Clayton R. holds his hand up high the moment he spots the figures. "Two anomalies to my right, moving quickly!"
  294.
  295. C. Jeffrey: (Giant pizza?)
  296.
  297. Martin Baron: [ S U R F A C E ]
  298.
  299. GM (GM): The fire has died.
  300. The two shadows appear to be manaquins. That would explain why they didn't show up on your sensors.
  301.
  302. Claudius Silvanus chuckles at DJ "Oh... we got some of these clients alright. Real big wigs at Apex. Treated us like shit... one of them had a robot butler named "Darius" "Darius, we're going back home!" he always said when I told him what the bill was. He was very upset about the prices!"
  303.
  304. Clayton R. pauses."Mannequin?... I swore I saw them... moving, perhaps they are robots."
  305.
  306. C. Jeffrey looks over at Martin. "So are you military, militia, or...?"
  307.
  308. Martin Baron gazes out to where Clayton has wandered, turning back to the raccoon to answer "Um... Something like that, I suppose."
  309.
  310. GM (GM): ((Darius got to work in the big house!))
  311.
  312. DJ-Max laughs a bit at that. He knew what it was like working retail and the sound of it certainly hit home. "Ha! Peeps always tryin' to skim some of the top even with all they got..."
  313.
  314. GM (GM): ((Technically speaking... You are kind of endtown security.))
  315.
  316. Clayton R. looks back to Cas, "Guard my 6 would ya? I need to check these out." He says, holstering his flamethrower and equipping his .38 revolver.
  317.
  318. GM (GM): Roll percpetion!
  319.
  320. Cas Hutson: (Wait, 6?)
  321.
  322. Clayton R.: rolling 1d100+30
  323. (35)+30= 65
  324. (( behing me. ))
  325.
  326. GM (GM): 6?
  327.
  328. Martin Baron: ( Guard his back, his 6. )
  329.
  330. Clayton R.: *behind
  331.
  332. Cas Hutson: (Ahh, sorry)
  333.
  334. GM (GM): Ah, right.
  335.
  336. DJ-Max moves forward a bit to take a look beyond the wall.
  337.
  338. Cas Hutson nods solemnly at Clayton, carrying his 9mm Blue while following behind Clayton.
  339.
  340. GM (GM): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUHZZwuybiY
  341.
  342. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100+55
  343. (47)+55= 102
  344.
  345. GM (GM): Another doll
  346.
  347. Clayton R.: Is that a big wall between them GM?
  348.
  349. GM (GM): You see a row of giant wooden faces decorating the opposite wall.
  350.
  351. Martin Baron yells out to the others from the jeep "Hey guys, what'd you find?"
  352.
  353. GM (GM): Clayton! You didn't see anything besides what you've already found!
  354.
  355. DJ-Max: "...Tha's creepy yo."
  356.
  357. Claudius Silvanus pokes one of the mannequins "You know what... that reminds me of an old game I've played in Hillside. You went to this department store and there was a lot of mannequins there... and well everything was creepy and suddenly they all started moving and doing really malicous pranks... like if the place was haunted!"
  358.
  359. Clayton R. frowns, only one way to find out if these were robots or something. He aimed his revolver at the Mannequin.
  360.
  361. GM (GM): Claud, you notice at the end of the row is a doll walking in a direction.
  362.
  363. DJ-Max calls back. "Only wood ova' here... an' $#&* is lookin' real creepy man... I mean, lookit man..."
  364.
  365. Claudius Silvanus: ...
  366.
  367. GM (GM): The mannequin is starring you down with pure audacity, clayton!
  368.
  369. Claudius Silvanus rubs his eyes and connects power to his gun again "Guys... I think we're in a videogame..."
  370.
  371. Claudius Silvanus points the gun at the walking doll, weirded out "N... not funny"
  372.
  373. Clayton R. doesn't like it one bit. He fires 6 shots at the mannequin.
  374.
  375. Cas Hutson scoffs at Claudius' comment. "The &^%( do you mean?"
  376.
  377. You pop some caps in the puppet, it falls over with wood splinters flying everywhere.
  378.
  379. Martin Baron doesn't like the silence from his comrades, jumping at the sudden gunfire. He ignores Jonathan and runs to the group, shotgun in hand.
  380.
  381. You successfully killed a dummy!
  382.
  383. Martin Baron: ( Sorry, the character's name is Jonathan, right? I know it's something with a J )
  384.
  385. Clayton R. inspects the mannequins body looking for any signs of circuitry.
  386.
  387. Claudius Silvanus looks back at Cas "THE DOLL IS WALKING!"
  388.
  389. C. Jeffrey: (Yup, Jonathan)
  390.
  391. Martin Baron: "What the hell's happening?! More mutts?"
  392.
  393. GM (GM): (( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vu2y38IIFTc ))
  394.
  395. Clayton R. shivered for moment. "This seems decidedly weirder."
  396.
  397. Martin Baron: ( Thanks. By the way, you can change the display name in the options, make it so the name in the chat is your character's name. )
  398.
  399. DJ-Max: "...A'ight... I ain' happy wit' this Silent hill $%^&.. we best not be stayin' here."
  400.
  401. Clayton R.: rolling 1d100+30
  402. (65)+30= 95
  403. on the killed mannequin
  404.
  405. Claudius Silvanus charges at the walking doll... $%^@ THIS!
  406.
  407. GM (GM): It appears to be wearing a worn dress. That is also destroyed.
  408. It was a regular mannequin
  409. ...Strange, a dress would have been destroyed after 3 years outside.
  410.
  411. Martin Baron: ( Can I roll perception hearing? )
  412.
  413. GM (GM): Sure.
  414.
  415. Clayton R. stands back up from his kneeled position. This all wasn't making much sense. After hearing Claud's distress, he loads his gun and fires all 6 shots into the other mannequin... just in case.
  416.
  417. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+35
  418. (96)+35= 131
  419.
  420. GM (GM): Wow.
  421.
  422. Cas Hutson holds back his tongue back from Claud's response, becoming silent for a moment. "The hell?" Cas mumurred in midst of his confusion. He notices Claud charging off, in which Cas follows.
  423.
  424. GM (GM): You hear the Veep and buzzing of electronics behind mask #4
  425.
  426. Cas Hutson: "HEY!" Cas shouts out to get Claud's attention.
  427.
  428. Martin Baron: ( I'll proceed to the source of the noise )
  429.
  430. DJ-Max: "Wha'...Claud...EY"
  431.
  432. Cas Hutson: (Could I be able to reach to Claud, since we're not in combat?)
  433.
  434. GM (GM): Attack Mannequin?
  435.
  436. Claudius Silvanus: (( Yes))
  437.
  438. Cas Hutson: (Cool)
  439.
  440. Claudius Silvanus swings at it with his weapon
  441.
  442. Martin Baron is panicking slightly at his comrades' yelling and gunshots. He listens for anything of note, hearing noises further ahead. He advances forward.
  443.
  444. GM (GM): Well, the doll hp is 40 so your trash it. Let's skip rolls.
  445.
  446. Clayton R.: (( The other mannequin dead GM? ))
  447.
  448. GM (GM): ((It lives! It's stare of horror and rage burns in your mind!))
  449.
  450. Martin Baron: "Claud! Cas! What the hell's going on?"
  451.
  452. Clayton R.: (( Is that GM jokes or is this real and spooky? ))
  453.
  454. GM (GM): Martin! As you all advance your hear more veep from the masks.
  455.
  456. DJ-Max come over. "Guys, calm down"
  457.
  458. Jonathan Sommer hears the sounds of panic and shots. He takes one look at the jeep, pauses, then walks towards the source.
  459.
  460. GM (GM): You walk into clay.
  461.
  462. Cas Hutson: "That moose ended up charging off to somewhere, saying he saw some *(&^%$% doll move!"
  463.
  464. Jonathan Sommer looks at Clayton, then at the dolls, then back to Clayton.
  465.
  466. Claudius Silvanus pants "Okay... it's really creeping me out"
  467.
  468. Martin Baron: "What the hell?" Martin mutters, looking over the two. He begins to ask another question until he takes notice of the wooden masks and their beeping. He tries to pull the 4th one off the wall!
  469.
  470. Clayton R. doesn't take his eyes off of the Mannequin. "Are you the raccoon?"
  471.
  472. GM (GM): (( The doll thing is a joke. It's face is a blank smooth wooden surface. But you know how it goes if you stare at something long enough!))
  473.
  474. Jonathan Sommer: Aye. ... Are you shooting at mannequins?
  475.
  476. Martin Baron: ( Should I roll for pull action? )
  477.
  478. GM (GM): There is a big camera. Actually pretty huge!
  479.
  480. Martin Baron: "What?"
  481.
  482. Clayton R. nods, "Thought they may have been robots in a wooden casing. Seems I was wrong, but they are talking about a walking mannequin over there so... maybe I'm not so wrong."
  483.
  484. Martin Baron: ( Is it attached to the wall or can I take it out? )
  485.
  486. GM (GM): Yes and yes.
  487. Just take alot of pulling.
  488.
  489. Clayton R. frowns one last time at the mannequin before walking away to rejoin the others.
  490.
  491. Martin Baron: "You guys said something about mannequins moving, right?" Martin asks, looking over the camera.
  492. "Which one was it?"
  493.
  494. Clayton R.: (( Is it a scooby doo ghost projector? ))
  495.
  496. GM (GM): (( To yank the camera out you need a total strength of 9 ))
  497.
  498. Claudius Silvanus points at the one he just killed "This one... "
  499.
  500. GM (GM): (( Look for flour on the floor! ))
  501.
  502. Martin Baron: ( GM, can I perception the downed, moving mannequin? )
  503.
  504. GM (GM): It's clear that the manaquien was not actually moving, it was just in a pose that looked like it was walking.
  505.
  506. Clayton R. finally rejoins the group. "So uh... what happened?"
  507.
  508. Cas Hutson was about to get right onto Claud, only to turn and notice the camera on the wall, holding back his tongue.
  509.
  510. GM (GM): Following where it was walking-ish... You see...
  511.
  512. Jonathan Sommer furrows his brow and looks over the standing mannequin. "Robots, huh," he mumbles to himself.
  513.
  514. GM (GM): Another mannequin waving.
  515.
  516. Martin Baron whispers to the group "I don't know what's going on here, but we're being played."
  517.
  518. Martin Baron: ( Actually waving or in the pose? )
  519.
  520. GM (GM): Its a pose.
  521. They are all poses.
  522. None of the dolls have actually moved this entire time... Not counting when you are shooting or gording them into pieces.
  523.
  524. Martin Baron walks towards the camera, shotgun in hand. He slams the butt of the gun into the lenses, trying to crack it.
  525.
  526. Martin Baron: ( What's the damage? )
  527.
  528. Claudius Silvanus: Can we just get out of here... I'm getting freaked out
  529.
  530. GM (GM): ( Pistol whip or butt of a rifle: 1d10+15(20) )
  531.
  532. Clayton R.: (( No we must press on and meet the dark ones.) ))
  533.
  534. Martin Baron: rolling 1d10+15
  535. (5)+15= 20
  536.
  537. GM (GM): Inspect that giant heat signature Clay saw?
  538.
  539. Jonathan Sommer attempts to tip the standing mannequin down.
  540.
  541. GM (GM): You broke the lens.
  542. Sparks fly from the camera.
  543.
  544. Martin Baron: ( Yeah. And good, wont get a view on us. )
  545. ( There might be more though. )
  546. "Clayton, where'd you see that hot spot earlier?"
  547.
  548. GM (GM): Clayton! Warning! Your helmet spots a radiation spike and a UV light coming from the cracks in the camera!
  549. Whatever you do, do not put it in your mouth or something now.
  550.
  551. Clayton R. points over the highlighted area on his HUD, warning them right after. "Martin that cracked lens sent a spike in radiation. We may want to leave."
  552.
  553. DJ-Max: "A spike? Wha'...did somethin' start floodin' the place?"
  554.
  555. Claudius Silvanus: "Spike? From where?"
  556.
  557. GM (GM): Nah, just enough to register.
  558. Still, don't get too close to that thing.
  559.
  560. Martin Baron jumps away from the camera, exclaiming "Aw crap!"
  561. At this point a giant metal box bursts through the floor!
  562.
  563. Clayton R.: "The spike came from the camera's lense. The hot spot is next to the waving mannequin."
  564.
  565. Claudius Silvanus: OH SHIT!
  566.
  567. GM (GM): It drops down again revealing 3 dogs and a cat. They all look haggard and are dressed like they are looking for a fight!
  568.
  569. Clayton R. finally smiles, "It was all just a diversion tactic."
  570.
  571. GM (GM): The dogs approach as shout, "What is your problem, mate?"
  572.
  573. DJ-Max: "...Oi, oi, was jus' creeped out yo..."
  574.
  575. Martin Baron: "What's your problem?! What's the hell's going on here?"
  576.
  577. GM (GM): That's a x-ray camera your just smashed!
  578.
  579. Clayton R. arms himself with his flamethrowers again, aiming it toward the muties coming in. "Your diversion is the the problem. This is Dentown I take it."
  580.
  581. Martin Baron: ( That explains the radiation )
  582.
  583. Cas Hutson makes a quick turn from the sudden moment, keeping the 9mm out and ready.
  584.
  585. DJ-Max: "... X-rays? That's dangerous man..."
  586.
  587. GM (GM): All the mutants ready their weapons with frightening speed. The head dog has a 45 pointed right at Clayton. "You best keep it holstered, mate. I guarantee I shoot first."
  588.
  589. Claudius Silvanus: How about if I fix it
  590.
  591. Claudius Silvanus folds his hands together
  592.
  593. Jonathan Sommer has enough of the mannequin and approaches the rest of the group.
  594.
  595. Claudius Silvanus: (( I can do that right? ))
  596.
  597. GM (GM): Still leveling the gun the dog mulls it over.
  598.
  599. DogMerc: You can do that?
  600.
  601. Claudius Silvanus rubs his head "I'm a mechanic..."
  602.
  603. DogM: Save us afew thousand or ten. I'd say that would solve many a problem."
  604.
  605. Martin Baron: "Look, we just went through a herd of Mutts and even worse up to now. We were just being cautious."
  606.
  607. Clayton R. stands still for a moment. He lowers the mouth of his flamethrower slightly. "If he was gonna attack, he should at least wait to catch them off guard.
  608.
  609. GM (GM): The Dog glances at the raccoon. With a nod he says, "Sommer."
  610.
  611. Clayton R.: (( didn't mean to quote that. lol ))
  612.
  613. Jonathan Sommer: (Uh, what's the dog's name?)
  614.
  615. Clayton R.: woofer
  616.
  617. GM (GM): Bossness.
  618.
  619. Claudius Silvanus: (( Should I grab tools and start working on the cam? ))
  620.
  621. Jonathan Sommer: "... Bossness."
  622.
  623. Put: your pilot light out. You're lucky we didn't shoot when you have that helmet on.
  624.
  625. DogM: also the cam showed that your suit is trashed, so you're not a real toppie. Which you shortly smashed, incidently."
  626.
  627. Claudius Silvanus glares at Clayton "Told you that suit is nothing but trouble!"
  628.
  629. GM (GM): From the shadows a spider comes from behind your party.
  630.
  631. Martin Baron: ( I'm guessing he has a gun too? )
  632.
  633. GM (GM): No the spider does not.
  634. (I hope no one arachnophobic. That would be terrible.)
  635.
  636. Cas Hutson: (Can't the spider be able to hold at least 6 guns with the extra limbs?)
  637.
  638. GM (GM): Yes
  639. Technically.
  640.
  641. Jonathan Sommer: (Am I also acquainted with this spider?)
  642.
  643. Clayton R. nodded. They were smart, he would give them that. "Very well..." He puts the weapon back onto his back. He made sure to keep his hand somewhere close to his blaster though, he figured he'd need a weapon somehow. "Lay off Claud. This suit has save you more than you'd like already."
  644.
  645. Martin Baron draws his breath as the spider appears, only having heard of spider mutants, never seeing one.
  646.
  647. GM (GM): Sure. Another Dent resident. You never really talked to the guy. At least you think it's a guy.
  648.
  649. Jonathan Sommer eyes behind him and notices the spider. "Hey, Harold. What are you doing out here?"
  650.
  651. GM (GM): The mercs holster their weapons.
  652. The situation is desculated!
  653.
  654. Cas Hutson slowly lowers his gun, eyeing at the mercs.
  655.
  656. GM (GM): Skill test time!
  657.
  658. Cas Hutson: (Could I do a perception roll on the mercs?)
  659.
  660. GM (GM): Sure.
  661.
  662. Martin Baron: ( What skill we testing? )
  663.
  664. Claudius Silvanus: (( So can I start working on the cam? ))
  665.
  666. Cas Hutson: rolling 1d100
  667. (6)= 6
  668.
  669. GM (GM): Claud, fix the camera!
  670.
  671. Cas Hutson: (Ohh)
  672.
  673. GM (GM): Do you have electronics?
  674.
  675. Claudius Silvanus glares at Clay "Well mr. Important, sorry about not vaporizing everyone."
  676.
  677. GM (GM): Cas, that was horrible.
  678.
  679. Claudius Silvanus goes back to the Jeep and goes back to fix the cam with the tools
  680.
  681. GM (GM): And you have a mind bonus and such.
  682.
  683. Claudius Silvanus: ( Electronics, right? )
  684.
  685. Cas Hutson: (Ohh yeah.)
  686.
  687. GM (GM): Right.
  688.
  689. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100+35+20+10
  690. (85)+35+20+10= 150
  691.
  692. GM (GM): Threshold: 80 in this case.
  693.
  694. Claudius Silvanus: (ACE )
  695.
  696. Martin Baron: ( Mind if I have a go at perception? )
  697. ( Nice man )
  698.
  699. GM (GM): And you fix that mothertruck.
  700. Sure.
  701.
  702. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15
  703. (84)+15= 99
  704.
  705. DJ-Max: The Camera now works better then it did before.
  706.
  707. GM (GM): You just saved your party from having to pay several thousand dollars!
  708.
  709. Martin Baron takes a look at the others, grimacing as he looks at Harold.
  710.
  711. Clayton R. shakes his head at the comment. Claud could complain all he wanted. He certainly felt no regret.
  712.
  713. GM (GM): With the camera fixed the Mercs head back downstairs.
  714.
  715. Martin Baron: ( Anything from the perception? )
  716. ( And nice stuff Claud. )
  717.
  718. GM (GM): Ah, you hear alot of people below you. You notice that mercs pull a secret lever to start their elevator.
  719.
  720. Clayton R. arches an eyebrow. They weren't really trying to lock them out were they?
  721.
  722. Martin Baron turns to Jonathan, trying to avoid eye contact with the spider "Wait, you know these guys?"
  723.
  724. GM (GM): Cage up, cage down, they are gone.
  725.
  726. Claudius Silvanus taps the camera with the soldering iron "There... That shock collar practice paid off..."
  727.
  728. Jonathan Sommer continues eyeing Harold. "Sorta. They know my... habits, at least."
  729.
  730. Martin Baron: "Is this Dentown?"
  731.
  732. GM (GM): Proceed down?
  733.
  734. Martin Baron: (Yep.)
  735.
  736. Cas Hutson: (Yeah)
  737.
  738. Claudius Silvanus: ( Yerp )
  739.
  740. Clayton R.: no
  741.
  742. Claudius Silvanus carries the toolbox with him just in case...
  743.
  744. GM (GM): What?
  745.
  746. Claudius Silvanus: You're from here, Raccoon?
  747.
  748. Clayton R.: (( actually wanted to grab the keys from the jeep real quick. ))
  749.
  750. GM (GM): In a flash you run back to the jeep and take the keys.
  751. This is a rough neighborhood.
  752.
  753. Clayton R.: (( aight, thanks ))
  754.
  755. Jonathan Sommer looks over at Martin. "Aye. It's always Dentown with Harold, crazy bastard."
  756.
  757. GM (GM): And you did get jacked once enough today!
  758.
  759. Martin Baron: ( Gonna come back and the wheels will be gone )
  760.
  761. GM (GM): You have come to Dentown, the first floor.
  762. It is filthy
  763.
  764. Jonathan Sommer: "You can say I'm from everywhere, uh... moose guy?"
  765.
  766. Clayton R. glances around the immediate area, making use of his enhanced optics.
  767.
  768. Clayton R.: rolling 1d100+30
  769. (37)+30= 67
  770.
  771. Martin Baron: "Right..." Martin says, whispering the others "We need to look for a garage, that might be where Hershel is."
  772.
  773. Clayton R.: (( Oh no, a trash mutant ))
  774.
  775. Cas Hutson: ((Quick, use the flamethrower!)
  776.
  777. GM (GM): You notice that amongst the squallor are other mutants trying to rest.
  778.
  779. Claudius Silvanus extends a hand "Claude"
  780.
  781. Clayton R. cringes, What an utterly disgusting place.
  782.
  783. Claudius Silvanus: (( All I see are threads on /co/... ))
  784.
  785. Jonathan Sommer eyes Claude's hand and nods. "Sommer."
  786.
  787. Claudius Silvanus: (( I can't tell them apart from the garbage! )
  788.
  789. Clayton R.: (( Can't wait to meet Clementine here. ))
  790.
  791. Martin Baron: ( There's the Bunnicula thread, there's Poppy, there's Danger Mouse... Everyone's here. )
  792.
  793. DJ-Max: (Oh! Hey an /a/ thread!)
  794.
  795. Cas Hutson: (The heck? Is that a worm mutant?)
  796.
  797. Martin Baron: ( Hah )
  798.
  799. GM (GM): Yes.
  800.
  801. Clayton R. shakes his head. "We may want to keep close together as a group. This place looks like the kind of settlement brimming with thieves."
  802.
  803. GM (GM): Judging by the doors and layout, you think this place used to be a college of some sort.
  804.
  805. Martin Baron walks to the gerbil-looking mutant to ask him a question. "Hey, we're looking for a garage. You know where one is?"
  806.
  807. Jonathan Sommer hears Clayton and coughs.
  808.
  809. GM (GM): At this point you hear a knocking on a door.
  810.
  811. Claudius Silvanus: This looks like my old tech school
  812.
  813. GM (GM): There is a dog waving to you from behind a door window.
  814.
  815. Clayton R. glares at the raccoon in return. "Help us navigate if possible."
  816.
  817. Claudius Silvanus points at the waving dog "Uhhh anyone you know, Sommer?
  818.
  819. GM (GM): Jonathan! There is no garage here! There is a cave they have been working on for expansion though.
  820.
  821. Cas Hutson frowns at the sight of the floor covered with filth. "Didn't expect it to be bad enough as is here.." He mumbles, wandering about a bit.
  822.
  823. Jonathan Sommer smiles wryly at Clayton then looks over at Claude. "Nah, looks like a new face."
  824.
  825. Martin Baron gives up on the rodent mutant and regroups with the others.
  826.
  827. Jonathan Sommer knocks on the window to the dog. "Hey, you, what's with the renovation?"
  828.
  829. GM (GM): This place is like 800 sq feet, the dog replies.
  830.
  831. Coyo: Get me out of here, would you?
  832. the door is locked. I didn't do anything, honest!
  833.
  834. Claudius Silvanus whsipers to Sommer "Out of here?"
  835.
  836. Jonathan Sommer: "What the hell is with the locked door, then?"
  837.
  838. Martin Baron: ( Roll to figure out what he did? )
  839.
  840. GM (GM): He's apparently been locked inside on of the class rooms, like some jail cell. Locally these are known as 'The Holds.'
  841.
  842. Clayton R. taps Claud on the shoulder. "Don't bother with him. He's trying to trick you."
  843.
  844. Martin Baron: ( Little of that persuasion? )
  845.
  846. GM (GM): Sure!
  847.
  848. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+15
  849. (39)+15= 54
  850. ( No skill in persuasion )
  851.
  852. GM (GM): rolling 1d100+35
  853. (49)+35= 84
  854.
  855. Martin Baron: "What'd you do?"
  856.
  857. GM (GM): Steal stolen stuff from some thieves, which is hardly a crime. They just don't like me.
  858. Get me out of here and I'll pay.
  859.
  860. Jonathan Sommer puts his hands on his hips. "Well, I'm convinced!"
  861. Martin Baron: "I think that's reason enough to keep you in..."
  862.
  863. Claudius Silvanus glares at the dog "Now hold on there... Are you REALLY telling the truth?"
  864.
  865. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100+35
  866. (69)+35= 104
  867. (Fuck it, I'm gonna use my moosey charm)
  868.
  869. GM (GM): The coyote reasons, "Hey these guys aren't friends of yours so why help them out in roughing me up?"
  870. rolling 1d100+35
  871. (83)+35= 118
  872. The dog says it's okay, he'll just wait it out.
  873. He's sure something will come up, any moment now.
  874. and turns from the door.
  875. This is first floor.
  876.
  877. GM (GM): Besides the bums and litter. There is a bar, along that are shops.
  878.
  879. Martin Baron: "Let's go guys, we gotta find Hershel. Hopefully soon. This place is burning my nose."
  880.
  881. GM (GM): On the otherside are rooms, they are unmarked so who knows what could be in there.
  882.
  883. Jonathan Sommer looks over the dog and pauses. "... I say we help him."
  884.
  885. Martin Baron: "For all you know, he could be lying. He could've murdered some people for all we know."
  886.
  887. Clayton R. shakes his head. "No time, we're here for something else. I'm with Martin. "
  888.
  889. Jonathan Sommer: "'For all I know' he could be telling the truth. There's a reason I don't stick around here."
  890.
  891. Martin Baron: " 'sides, he says he'll be out soon. Maybe he's got a short sentence."
  892.
  893. GM (GM): Don't forget your mission! To find your sheet and the ferret that took it!
  894.
  895. Jonathan Sommer shakes his head. "Same as always, then."
  896.
  897. GM (GM): Map glitch, sorry.
  898.
  899. Clayton R. shrugs. "That's how it goes."
  900.
  901. Jonathan Sommer: "I suppose so."
  902. (Mind if I examine the lock?)
  903.
  904. Cas Hutson: "I'm going to look around a bit, see if I can get any info. I'll catch up with you guys later."
  905.
  906. Claudius Silvanus shrugs "I don't know what to think... Look I do want to grab something to eat... I'm starving."
  907.
  908. Clayton R.: (( Have to go for a short time. ))
  909. ((afk))
  910.
  911. GM (GM): Sure thing Sommer!
  912.
  913. Jonathan Sommer: rolling 1d100+25
  914. (49)+25= 74
  915.
  916. Jonathan Sommer chuckles. "Keep on hoping."
  917.
  918. GM (GM): Sommer!
  919. You examine the lock.
  920. It's open.
  921. But otherwise looks in fine condition.
  922.
  923. Jonathan Sommer: (So it's unlocked?)
  924.
  925. GM (GM): Yes.
  926. The door is ajar as well.
  927.
  928. Jonathan Sommer: "What the shit..."
  929.
  930. Martin Baron: "Wait... Why's the door open?"
  931.
  932. GM (GM): Because the coyote is gone.
  933.
  934. Jonathan Sommer opens the door and looks around the room. "Hey, you in here?"
  935.
  936. Claudius Silvanus headsahkes "Don't go in, Sommer... I think it's a trap"
  937.
  938. GM (GM): There is no response.
  939. It's a mystery!
  940. So martin is going to the bar...
  941.
  942. Jonathan Sommer: "Watch the door, Claude."
  943.
  944. Cas Hutson looks up to the attention of the door being open. "Huh? The hell?"
  945.
  946. Clayton R.: (( back))
  947.
  948. GM (GM): There is another wood puppet
  949.
  950. Martin Baron: ( I'm going to schmooze about, look for any info )
  951.
  952. Clayton R. follows after Martin
  953.
  954. Jonathan Sommer cautiously approaches the puppet.
  955.
  956. GM (GM): Ah, I forgot to list it.
  957.
  958. Martin Baron: ( So what's the roll? +mind + skill? I'm at 1, so what would the skill bonus be? )
  959.
  960. GM (GM): +10
  961.
  962. Martin Baron: ( Thank you. )
  963. rolling 1d100+15+10
  964. (86)+15+10= 111
  965.
  966. GM (GM): I've got to make that more clear in the book.
  967.
  968. Your threshold was 80 so you gain known secrets or you can borrow some cash!
  969.
  970. Martin Baron wanders about the bar, asking questions to random patrons about the whereabouts of a female weasel.
  971.
  972. Martin Baron: ( Secrets, looking for a female weasel, perhaps one in a topsider-looking vehicle? )
  973.
  974. Clayton R. watches from a distance as Martin schmoozes the patrons
  975.
  976. GM (GM): You learn that the top gang in the colony is the DB's and they just made a deal with a weasel chick for some construction equipment.
  977. It's all in the cave expansion now.
  978.
  979. Claudius Silvanus hmms... "Maybe I should get a drink. I hadn't had some alcohol in a while now."
  980.
  981. Martin Baron: "Thank you. You have a good rest of the night." Martin says to the last bartender, returning to Clayton. "They say a gang in that cave area Jonathan mentioned just recently bought some construction equipment from a weasel girl. I think that's where we should head."
  982.
  983. Claudius Silvanus goes into the bar to see if they have anything other than synth-alcohol
  984.
  985. Martin Baron: ( I got 2 ranks in sneak, can probably scout out the cave area for any info. )
  986. ( Crap, I recognize those 4 )
  987. ( Be really handy if Kazen was here )
  988.
  989. GM (GM): Luckily they don't recognize you.
  990.
  991. Claudius Silvanus: (( Martin you could send me... ))
  992. (( They don't know me ))
  993. (( Plus I'm outsider to them so they wouldn't suspect a thing ))
  994.
  995. Martin Baron: ( I don't think they know anybody except Mana )
  996.
  997. Clayton R.: (( Sorry for the delay ))
  998.
  999. Martin Baron: ( 's fine )
  1000.
1001. Clayton R. nods and follows after Martin. "Gotcha. Let's let the others know."
  1002.
1003. GM (GM): You're fine as long as the neither see you have any goods or recognize you as endtowners.
  1004.
1005. Martin Baron: Just before leaving the bar, Martin catches sight of four mutants at the bar. All of which look eerily similar to the gang Mana momentarily got caught up with. He doesn't say a word and starts walking faster for the door, motioning for Clayton to tag along
  1006.
1007. GM (GM): Make use of anything up here or proceed down?
  1008.
1009. Jonathan Sommer: (I'm guessing there's nothing more with the hold?)
  1010.
1011. Claudius Silvanus: (( How much for a bottle of booze? ))
  1012.
  1013. GM (GM): $8
  1014.
1015. Cas Hutson: (Lets proceed down)
  1016.
1017. Claudius Silvanus: (( Sold... and proceed down... ))
  1018.
1019. GM (GM): Coyote's room is empty, the others are a mystery.
  1020.
1021. Martin Baron: ( Just real quick, do the shops sell anything of note or just the standard inventory? )
  1022. ( ah never mind, let's go down. )
  1023. ( Mind if I roll perception:hearing? )
  1024.
  1025. GM (GM): sure!
  1026.
  1027. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+35
  1028. (9)+35= 44
  1029.
1030. GM (GM): You hear alot of machinery going on down the hall and in the rooms on the left.
1031. You also hear someone coming down the stairs after you.
  1032.
  1033. Clayton R.: ((Afk again unfortunately. ))
  1034.
1035. Martin Baron: ( We Jurassic Park now )
  1036.
1037. Martin Baron: "Oh sweet mother of God..."
  1038.
  1039. DJ-Max: "...Urrgh..."
  1040.
1041. Martin Baron: "Just what the hell CAN'T people mutant into?!"
  1042.
  1043. GM (GM): Better people?
  1044.
  1045. Martin Baron: ( Ouch )
  1046.
  1047. DJ-Max: ba-dum-tish
  1048.
  1049. Cas Hutson: ( True )
  1050.
1051. GM (GM): Two people come down from the stairwell. At the same time two pop out from rooms ahead of you.
1052. The reptile and the turtle are short sized while the dinosaurs are very large, giant you could say.
  1053.
1054. Jonathan Sommer: "Uh... evening, gents."
  1055.
1056. GM (GM): "Sommer," they say.
1057. They ask where you are from, in a threatening manner.
  1058.
1059. Jonathan Sommer: (Me or the group?)
  1060.
1061. Clayton R. stares at the approaching reptiles, he reachs back towards his blaster, ready to grab it. "Never seen any dinosaur mutants before." He said, not to the dinosaurs in particular.
  1062.
1063. Claudius Silvanus looks at Clay "Are you always this jump?"
  1064.
1065. GM (GM): (Sorry, they ask the group. Everyone but sommer is not a local!)
  1066.
1067. Clayton R.: "I'm from the wastes, obviously... And yes, I am Claud."
  1068.
1069. Martin Baron: ( We could lie. Say we're new workers. )
  1070.
1071. Jonathan Sommer: "See? Decent folks. Now just let us by..."
  1072.
  1073. Toothy: No.
  1074.
1075. Cas Hutson: (Could, but they might not be stupid enough to fall under that.)
  1076.
1077. Martin Baron: "Didn't you get the memo? We're here for the guard position down under."
  1078.
1079. Toothy: this floor is only for residence.
  1080.
1081. Tooothy: Get lost or get dead.
  1082.
1083. Martin Baron: ( Can I try persuading Toooothy that we're the new guards? Don't feel like shooting a near extinct animal )
  1084.
1085. GM (GM): ((Let's try to use some stealth skills in this section.))
  1086.
  1087. Martin Baron: ( Ohoh )
  1088.
  1089. Cas Hutson: (Oooh)
  1090.
1091. Jonathan Sommer attempts to smile calmly. "Aw come on, Toothy. How about another game of cards, huh?"
  1092.
  1093. GM (GM): Toothy ponders.
  1094.
  1095. Tothy: Sure.
  1096.
  1097. Claudius Silvanus phews
  1098.
1099. Clayton R. rolls his eyes. Cards were annoying the first time.
  1100.
1101. GM (GM): (let us do the tests!)
  1102.
  1103. Sommer has distracted them.
  1104.
1105. Claudius Silvanus grabs the bottle of booze he bought and takes a big swing
  1106.
1107. Martin Baron mutters "Everything's gonna be solved with cards now, huh?"
  1108.
1109. Jonathan Sommer: "Just pals chumming it up. Lets get some drinks as well!"
  1110.
1111. Martin Baron: ( I got 2 ranks in sneak, what's my roll? Agility bonus plus 20? )
  1112.
1113. GM (GM): You can roll Hide to make them lose sight of you and sneak to go right passed them.
1114. The bronto is deployed for the drinks.
  1115. Their preception is
  1116. rolling 1d100+25
  1117. (95)+25= 120
  1118.
1119. Martin Baron: ( Ok, 1 rank in hide, so )
  1120. ( Mind bonus? )
  1121.
  1122. GM (GM): 100 and freaking 20.
  1123. yes.
  1124. Let us roll hide.
  1125.
1126. Martin Baron: ( Eesh. Well I know who wont make it )
1127. ( So rank 1 is plus 10 then, or since everyone has it it's a straight roll? )
  1128.
1129. Jonathan Sommer pulls out a deck of cards from his pocket. "First, who wants to see a magic trick?"
  1130.
  1131. GM (GM): Everyone get's +10
  1132.
  1133. Claudius Silvanus: (( Hide time? ))
  1134.
1135. Jonathan Sommer: (Does my distraction make a modifier?)
  1136.
  1137. GM (GM): Roll hide!
  1138.
  1139. Martin Baron: rolling 1d100+10+30+15

  1144.
1145. GM (GM): 1d100 plus mind plus +10
  1146.
1147. Clayton R. leans against a far wall, watching with a mild interest.

  1149. GM (GM): Yep.
  1150. Sneak is agility
  1151.
  1152. Claudius Silvanus: rolling 1d100+10+35+10

  1156.
1157. Claudius Silvanus: (( > 7' Tall moose hides perfectly

  1162.
1163. GM (GM): There are support beams around.
  1164.
1165. Jonathan Sommer: (Roll for magic?)
  1166.
1167. GM (GM): The large, 200+lbs moose ducks behind a support and they loose track of him.
  1168. Sure.
  1169.
1170. Martin Baron: ( I messed up too, it was supposed to be a plus +20 +15 +10

1181. GM (GM): Which do you want?
  1182.
  1183. Clayton R.: (( I still don't know why we're hiding. ))
  1184.
1185. GM (GM): You can use either.
  1186.
1187. Martin Baron: ( Testing stealth skills )
  1188.
1189. Jonathan Sommer: (Agility it is!)
  1190.
  1191. Martin Baron: ( And it's a fucking T-Rex here with a Bronto. )

1200. GM (GM): Hiding means that the actually lose track of you and won't eat your guts if you pull something.))
  1201. rolling 1d100+25
  1202. (40)+25= 65
1203. What trick were you pulling, Sommer?

  1205. Fire breathing?
  1206.
1207. Claudius Silvanus is gonna try scouting around... keeps the bootle of booze to calm the nerves
  1208.
1209. Jonathan Sommer: (Fire breathing sounds cool. Sipped some booze while they weren't looking.)

1273. Martin Baron , regrettably, tries to camouflage himself in the trash. Multiple times, horrifically enough.
  1274.
1275. GM (GM): Jonathan actually passed a hard threshold with that last trick.
  1276.
  1277. Jonathan Sommer: (Noice)
  1278.
1279. Clayton R.: nope, still gonna have to shoot when they get mad.

1281. Martin Baron: ( Good job Rocket )
  1282.
1283. GM (GM): Let's say everyone can sneak by now.
  1284.
1285. Martin Baron: ( I'd say shouldn't we sneak roll, but I know we'd all fail it somehow. )
  1286.
  1287. Claudius Silvanus: (( I'll sneak
  1288.
1289. Jonathan Sommer: (So am I sticking behind as a distraction?)
  1290.
1291. Cas Hutson: (Okay, we should check the door over here to see if it's unlocked or something.)
  1292.
1293. Claudius Silvanus: (( Can I peer into the rooms? ))
  1294.
  1295. GM (GM): Use

  1316.
1317. GM (GM): Looks like they make whiskey in this room.

  1326.
1327. GM (GM): The stills weigh some 300 lbs so It might be abit of team lift.
  1328.
1329. Cas Hutson: (Ah, GM? Does this happen to be a door in the way, or no?)
  1330.
1331. GM (GM): That's a locked fence gate Cas.
1332. This is a key lock though.
  1333.

  1336. GM (GM): Sure!
  1337. Lock, common latch: 100hp
  1338.
1339. Cas Hutson: (Hmm, breaking it could cause noise though..)
  1340.
1341. GM (GM): Especially considering Claud's gun does everything but not make noise.
1342. It makes noise when you aren't even touching it!
  1343.
1344. Martin Baron: ( I'm close to the gate, right? I can try picking it. It's agility bonus too )

  1359.
1360. Claudius Silvanus: (( Oh... I was trying to break the fence look with my tools ))
  1361.
  1362. GM (GM): Ah okay.
1363. I couldn't figure if that was damage or to hit.
1364. Because it would be weird to roll to his a stationary object at close range.
1365. Anyway. A big chunk of metal breaks with a loud chink!
1366. By the saving grace of probability the lizard gang was all looking the other way when you did that.
  1367.
1368. Cas Hutson: (Oh thank lord then)
  1369.
1370. Everyone has exactly one chance to roll to not be seen!

  1412.
  1413. Cas Hutson: (Yeah.)
  1414.
1415. GM (GM): Let's say he made it then.
  1416.
1417. The gang about faces to see the cause of the noise.
  1418.
1419. GM (GM): They notice that the lock is really messed up!
  1420.
  1421. Claudius Silvanus: Uh oh...
  1422.
1423. GM (GM): Confused. The start inspecting rooms!
  1424.
  1425. Martin Baron: ( Hide / camo again? )
  1426.
1427. GM (GM): On the upside, Jonathan doesn't need to distract them anymore.

  1471. Martin Baron: ( Ah, alright. )
  1472.
1473. Claudius Silvanus looks around and whispers to Sommer "Think we can avoid bloodshed?"
  1474.
1475. Martin Baron: ( Can I make a sneak roll or should I trash myself up again? )
  1476.
1477. Jonathan Sommer pockets his cards and takes a swig of booze.
  1478.
1479. Clayton R. pauses in his footsteps. That's a lot of mutants.
  1480.
1481. Jonathan Sommer: "Maybe. What're you looking for?"
  1482.
1483. Martin Baron: ( By the by, liking your character so far Jeff. )

1506. GM (GM): Let's get into xp
  1507.
  1508. Clayton R.:
  1509.
  1510. GM (GM): But first.
1511. Suule, does your character know that Mutts are people?
  1512.
1513. Martin Baron: Oh damn, you know what would've been really handy to buy from the store? Maybe persuade them to open their secret inventory? A silencer.
  1514. *suppressor
  1515.
1516. GM (GM): Yes it would.
  1517.
1518. Claudius Silvanus: (( Yeah Jeff's character is credit ))
  1519. (( Nope, GM. He's a wasteland virgin ))
  1520.
1521. Martin Baron: ( Also, just to get this out of the way, MVP is John, for newcomer and magic tricks. )
  1522.
1523. Claudius Silvanus: (( He even said they remind him of the robobutlers))
  1524.
1525. GM (GM): Clayton will take 6d10 mp but He's kind if in the thick of it right now.
  1526.
  1527. Claudius Silvanus: (( I agree ))
  1528.
  1529. Clayton R.: (( neat. ))
  1530.
1531. GM (GM): So he associated mutts with snoody robo men?
1532. With their fancy carbon composite ties and nanoweave tuxes.
1533. Always thinking they better than organics!
  1534.
1535. Martin Baron: And their British accents
  1536.
  1537. Claudius Silvanus: Yes
  1538.
1539. GM (GM): And the attachments!
  1540.
  1541. Claudius Silvanus: Pretty much
  1542.
1543. Martin Baron: This is Neitherland, we're far better than Britbong land
  1544.
1545. GM (GM): Anyway. Let's get to xp.
  1546.
1547. Claudius Silvanus: Despite being a Hillsider he's very ignorant
1548. Because he had to deal with the elite
  1549.
1550. GM (GM): Everyone practiced at bit of what I wanted, so 10 for that.
1551. Claud and clay wiped the mutts. I mean just damn.
1552. So 21+ xp for the whole bunch.
1553. Sommer was an asset with the picking and the distractions so +20.
1554. +10 to Cas for reasons.
  1555. What else?
  1556.
1557. GM (GM): MVP, who wants it who gets it?
  1558.
1559. Martin Baron: Jonathan for the finger trick
  1560.
1561. Jonathan Sommer: Claude for stealth moose
  1562.
  1563. Clayton R.: Jon
  1564.
1565. Cas Hutson: Eh, give the MVP to Jonathan for the distractions.
  1566.
1567. GM (GM): Jonny gets +10
  1568.
1569. Martin Baron: I know it was all according to plan, but it really wouldn't have worked if he didn't do that.
  1570.
1571. GM (GM): DJ gets +64xp. I remember that much.
  1572.
1573. Martin Baron: Yeah, the XP from the last session
  1574.
  1575. DJ-Max gives a thumbs up.
  1576.
  1577. Claudius Silvanus: Hey DM
1578. Anything I should change in the Sheets
1579. Or are they good for the new skill system?
  1580.
1581. Cas Hutson: Okay, so I got 20 XP in total, right? Because I got to level 2 over here.
  1582.
1583. Claudius Silvanus: Mind bonus still stays?
  1584.
1585. GM (GM): According to plan, yeah sure. I was thinking this would be a den of theives session. Turned into Metal Gear no alarm run.
  1586. Correct and correct.
1587. That brings up another point.
  1588.
1589. Martin Baron: Yeah, was wondering if there was going to be more deception, door picking, sneaking in the backdoors of stores and what not for clues
  1590.
1591. GM (GM): Yeah, I'll try to work on that.
1592. For some reason I was drawing it up and absolutely no ideas were coming.
  1593.
  1594. Claudius Silvanus: It's okay
  1595.
1596. Martin Baron: All the XP and MP accounted for?
  1597.
1598. Claudius Silvanus: We can still do a ot here
  1599. GM (GM): Yep.
  1600.
  1601.
  1602. Martin Baron: And definitely
  1603. Alright, here's the paste
  1604.
