- Trust Thyself Cinderella
- (321 words)
- A moment of weakness, crying in the glade.
- Why would they do this? What madness would possess them to be so cruel?
- My mother’s dress torn to rags, the effort of my friends ruined, even the floating sparkles seem to be mocking me.
- Sparkles?
- …
- Ouch, brain hurts, ouch, ouch, ouch. Disorientation and dizziness. I look away from the paperwork in my hands. Tiredness. It is night and the last echoes of a gong are fading out. I am in my bedroom surrounded by candles and it is dark out. What happened? Did the sparkles do this?
- I notice I am confused.
- Deep breaths. Start at the beginning. Paperwork, I glance down. My finger is pointing at the words:
- DON’T PANIC
- Ahh. Good advice. I am panicking. More deep breaths, find my centre. Carry on reading.
- Dear myself
- • You wrote this but you don’t remember. Proof: The second room in your memory castle is Daddy’s study. You come here often just to see him frowning over his letters and the look of joy when he sees you looking up at him.
- • Magic is real but has several limitations.
- • The most important limitation right now is the midnight limitation, everything resets back to its original state at midnight.
- • You made a request of a magical being without knowing the limitations. (Silly)
- • The request modified your brain and the midnight limitation will reset it to the state before the request. That means no memories unfortunately.
- • For the sake of easy communication, I am me and you are you.
- • I have a plan to help you.
- • This plan must be followed to the letter in every respect.
- • Knowing the outcome of the plan decreases the chances of success dramatically.
- • Knowing the request made decreases the chances of success astronomically.
- • Follow the instructions on the second page and only when they are complete can you go to the third page.
- GOOD LUCK
