  2. The curse known as "Trails of Cold Steel" has finally been broken.

  4. I'm a player who has completed all Sky games, both Crossbell games, and Cold Steel 1-3 with 100% trophy completion. It was a series I once loved, but after my enthusiasm took a major hit from CS3's ending, I figured I might as well see out the end of Cold Steel and bought CS4. I beat CS4 in 100 hours. My thoughts on CS4 can be summed up in the title of this review, but I figured that since I lasted through four games, I might as well throw up a review. I'll be touching largely on CS4, but there are other excellent Amazon reviews that cover more of the entirety of the series. Please give them a read when you have the chance.

  6. I would like to talk about how the Cold Steel series ended up like this. When I looked back at past Cold Steel games, I think CS1 was the most interesting of the lot. It was Falcom's first true 3D work, so the graphics and animations were horrible, but there was a lot to praise. There was a genuine feeling of being part of a school, and Class VII's strong desire to protect Thors Academy was hype. The portrayal of the struggle between nobles and commoners gave a complete feel of truly being in "The Empire".
