If I'm honest, I've had some staff members- not junior staff, mind you, but senior, manager staff, tell me that if it were their decision, they would have you leave the character as she is, and simply not allow her to be played here. I'm willing to work with you, however, to mold her into something that isn't seen by others as over-powered or the next rank down from godhood. Regardless of the positive experiences you've had, I'm not making up the indivuals who have vehemently complained about the over-powered actions she's taken in active role play within New Versailles, including the supernatural forces set in place by dream staff to keep powerful creatures in check. When I have people who are voluntarily employed to keep balance telling me that despite what your website says, you roleplay her different and to a much grander level- there is a need for me to step in and try to work with everyone. As a taneest and the only lore manager within the dream, it's my job to satisfy all players and make sure that those who would seek to come here in the future, looking to play a character or race with simply too much power, are balanced with the rest of the large, expansive players we have.

Without establishing a starting point for the race, it only contributes to them appearing as gods-that-aren't-gods in the eyes of other players.

There are some alternates we could think of to explain, as well, if you'd like to keep the Evangels within her story line, like maybe having her, in NV's incarnation, be a human with the ability to contact the evangels like a priestess. 02/25/15 04:21:42 Evangela: Hey, so... I was trying to think of ways that Elli could remain in NV without disrupting the canon. I respect that this dream does not belong to be, but I really love the community here and I have worked hard to try and be a positive part of it. If I failed in that, then I apologize, but I'm really hoping that there's a middle ground we could find where you won't feel uncomfortable with my character and I won't have to turn her into something that is incompatible with all of the RP's I've had with people in the past. Anyway, this is my take... I hope it's something you're amenable to. I know there's still the idea of gods and worship in it, but I guess the case I would make is that despite the translation, Japanese "kami" are not at all like the Western interpretation of gods, and since there is already one here (Inari), I feel like it wouldn't be too far out there.
