  1. >You are Link
  2. >Ganon defeated
  3. >Master Sword back in it's place
  4. >and fucking Zelda not giving you any reward
  5. >only one thing to do
  6. >time to go see Malon
  7. >you already know she's going to turn out to be a sexy bitch in the future, might as well start early
  8. >a quick trip through the field ignoring every annoying stalchild along the way
  9. >night time, oh right
  10. >a simple sun's song turns everything as it should be
  11. >straight for the field, except there's no singing
  12. >no Malon standing in the center singing to Epona
  13. >in fact no Epona
  14. >perhaps the stables
  15. >immediately you find her and her dad surrounding... something
  16. >perhaps it's a newborn foal
  17. >it's not Epona's since she's barely as old as you
  18. >wait, Epona
  19. >She's sick isn't she?
  20. >The one friend you had as an adult
  21. >The one friend who would always be there to help
  22. >all the fun times riding through Hyrule field
  23. >you run straight forward to check
  24. >they were clearly huddled around Epona, except a smaller Epona, even smaller than she was already
  25. >"Link?"
  26. >You look at Malon, who wasn't even looking at you
  27. >girl can't even look at me when she speaks?
  28. >"You came to see me?"
  29. >Hold up, that's not Malon's voice
  30. >She was talking to you, Epona was talking
  31. >"They've been staring at me for so long, they haven't done anything at all"
  32. >She really was talking
  33. >You came to get together with Malon, and instead, you're talking to a pony
  34. >"Hey, can I hear that Ocarina again, please?"
  35. >Of course, her favorite song, she'd come galloping from miles away just for that song
  36. >It clearly still makes her happy to hear it
  37. >Finally after Malon has heard it too, she notices you
  38. >"We found her like this yesterday, we didn't even see what happened"
  39. >Well there's no way you're getting her to go out with you while this is going on
  40. >"She also been depressed lately"
  41. >which is the farthest thing from the truth now
  42. >she's seems completely exited, as if she's been wanted to see you
  43. >"Can we go riding in the field please?
  44.
  45. >before you can even answer she jumps the fence and pick you up onto her back, running straight out the door
  46. >running toward the field and other horses
  47. >kind of feels good again to ride like this, except now you're a kid, or at least in your true kid body
  48. >last time you were just a kid in an adult's body
  49. >but this just makes it much more fun
  50. >"I just loved when we rode through Hyrule field all those times, I was always excited when I heard that song"
  51. >That's nice, she loved riding too
  52. >Wait
  53. >But this is the past Epona, how could she remember something from the future?
  54. >Talon mount his own horse and chases, clearly trying to tow her down
  55. >What is this guy thinking? Just let her do what she wants
  56. >One thing's for sure, he was much smarter
  57. >out maneuvering him, even dodging the losso
  58. >she takes time to look back and stick her tongue out, taunting him to no end
  59. >she was smaller, faster and much more agile like this, the guys large weight didn't do his horse any favor
  60. >"Hey, close the gate!"
  61. >Indigo had been watching the entire time, and hesitated at first, but closed the gates to shut us out
  62. >"This looks familiar"
  63. >she really does remember, but how?
  64. >It takes no effort to jump over and soon, back into Hyrule field
  65. >"That was so fun"
  66. >Was she really depressed like Malon said? maybe seeing me just brightened her day
  67.
  68. >Staring down the field again, this is what your childhood should have been
  69. >The best part is, this is your childhood, thanks to Zelda
  70. >Being an adult and a hero was ok, but you were a kid at heart
  71. >"I missed you so much, Link"
  72. >A smile comes across your face and you pet her mane softly
  73. >You keep thinking back to her remembering the future
  74. >Was this really the same Epona you traveled with every day?
  75. >Come back to the past to stay with you?
  76. >The only explanation you can think of is Zelda
  77. >Perhaps this was your reward for saving the world
  78. >A best friend, who will always love you, who appreciates your company
  79. >"Where do you want to go now?"
  80. >Good question, you have nothing to do, so where?
  81.
  82. >Where have you not been?
  83. >You've done everything, been everywhere
  84. >There has to be something
  85. >Maybe you could ask someone who knows more about the land
  86. >Zelda, she's the princess, she should know almost everything
  87. >You face Epona towards the castle and head off
  88. >"Wait, do I get to see Zelda? I get to see the princess?"
  89. >I suppose you should at least let her do that much, she never gets to be on any adventures through dungeons, and a lot of times she out right refuses to go into towns
  90. >But this time she's just ready to go anywhere
  91. >There's so much free time, and you get to spend it all with her
  92. >It was simple getting past the guards last time, but now you have a horse with you
  93. >And..... the guards have upped security
  94. >You could normally sneak by them easily, but now they have nearly every corner protected
  95. >Perhaps we should just go back
  96. >You look at Epona with disappointment, but she wasn't there
  97. >She was simply walking right through, all of the guards eyes glued right on her
  98. >they followed her, it was just a horse walking through, were they just going to throw her out?
  99. >You followed, knowing this was your chance
  100. >Just around the corner to the garden
  101. >she turns around and motions you to come near
  102. >reluctantly, you know she has some plan
  103. >you walk up and get on
  104. >The guard finally come to there senses after seeing you, ready to throw you both out
  105. >Epona just sticks her tongue out, taunting them, except..
  106. >She's got a deku nut
  107. >You both close your eyes as she bites down, blinding every last one of them and make a mad dash for the garden
  108. >"Mmm, tasty"
  109. >It's true, the nuts were more used for food, but real masters have learned when the shell itself gets cracked, it creates a blinding flash
  110. >usually people just peel it normally, and it will be fine
  111. >or some will just put the whole thing in their mouth and chow down, shell and all
  112.
  113. >it was a natural defense mechanism, any animal trying to eat it would get blinded
  114. >but of course humans find it useful in other ways
  115. >like escaping from fairly dumb guards
  116. >they didn't even bother chasing us
  117. >Epona sees Zelda and starts running
  118. >You put your hand to her mouth and tell her not to talk
  119. >She didn't like it, but agreed anyways
  120. >You come up to Zelda, the same way as the first time you met
  121. >And she turns around in almost the exact same way
  122. >She looks at Epona and back at you
  123. >"You're leaving Hyrule, aren't you?"
  124. >You didn't have to say a word to her, she could tell just by looking
  125. >"I guess you'll need a map"
  126. >Oh, perfect, just what I need
  127. >"You could stay here, and help more"
  128. >The future Zelda told you to live your life like you want, this one's still young, not the same
  129. >"Well, then I guess good luck"
  130. >You finally nod and get on your horse to ride off
  131. >"Bye Zelda!"
  132. >"Good-bye Link,....wait.."
  133.
  134. >You were already gone before she could question what just happened
  135. >So how about this map?
  136. >Is that it? there's really not much, perhaps no one has explored them yet
  137. >So that will be your job
  138. >"So NOW do you know where we're going?"
  139. >You both head towards the forest once again
  140. >The Kokiri aren't allowed to leave, and most everyone is not allowed to go in
  141. >But you and Epona should be fine, she's just an animal to them, and nature loves animals
  142. >Well some of them
  143. >So, the map says.... to the Lost Woods?
  144. >Really? It barely has anything on the map especially in the wood, how is this going to keep me from getting lost?
  145. >"Maybe I can try to guide us?"
  146. >Oh right, Epona's still here, she was getting quiet
  147. >Looking at the entrance, her legs are shaking so much, your whole body is rattling
  148. >Maybe you both could rest at your house
  149. >"Is that your bed? this, kind of seems boring"
  150. >You sit down, sure it wasn't much, but at least you could come here anytime with no problems
  151. >Epona lays on the floor, seeming kind of depressed now
  152. >"You don't have any other bed? What about room for me?"
  153. >Room for her? there's barely room for yourself how could..
  154. >She just moves like lightning, taking your whole bed, and making herself comfortable
  155. >You lay down with what will bed you have left, when she pulls you closer to her
  156. >"You don;t mind, do you?"
  157. >she's so soft, warm, you could get use to this, wrapping you arms around your new Epona, you slowly fall asleep
  158.
  159. >"Why do we have to go again?"
  160. >She knew what you were doing, why even bother?
  161. >"Can't we stay here, I like it here"
  162. >Maybe it would be better, simply staying, could just be you and her, and she can talk so, that would work out fine
  163. >She's much different than the real girls, although, she's perfect, absolutely perfect for cuddling, but you just can't tell why, was it the soft mane? her lovely fur? or just how small she is in general? perhaps all three?
  164. >You could leave with her, and have amazing new adventure, or stay here, for endless cuddles
  165. >You've adventured so much now, it was merely second nature
  166. >But she just wants to be with you, she wants your company, she loves she, and now she can tell you as well
  167. >Wait, but she's a horse!
  168. >And yet, that's probably the only reason she's so perfect, because humans cannot be perfect,
  169. >Being an adult has really messed with your mind too many things to consider
  170. >not to mention, what about Malon? you practically stole Epona, wouldn't she come looking? The forest protects you both actually, so maybe there's not much to worry
  171. >Then leave it up to her, it'll be Epona's choice what to do, until then, just enjoy pony cuddles
