- Flaring the Immediate Nimbus requires a roll of Gnosis + a Resistance Attribute, chosen when designing the Nimbus Tilt. It affects Sleepers without resistance, but Sleepwalkers may contest with Resolve + Composure. Mages and other supernaturals who counter with their own auras enter a Clash of Wills, rolling their own dice pools. The Tilt always bestows one positive effect and one negative effect. The positive effect gives a bonus of Gnosis/2 to an Attribute or a Skill, and the negative effect gives the same amount of penalty to another Attribute or Skill.
- Do not spend Arcane Experiences to increase Gnosis. Instead, you gain 1 dot of Gnosis for every 10 Arcane Experiences you accumulate.
- If you have two traits that would give you 9 Again on the same roll, they stack to become 8 Again. Should you have two instances of 8 Again, you receive 7 Again, and so on.
- The fourth dot of Professional Training, instead of giving you a Beat when purchasing dots in Asset Skills, allows you to achieve Exceptional Successes with 4 Successes on Asset Skills.
- Each Awakened starts the game with one free soulstone. Additionally, using Soulstone always considers you to be "a Mage of equal Gnosis".
- Ephemeral beings have their traits more balanced out:
- Willpower: Resistance + Rank (maximum is 10)
- Initiative: Finesse + Resistance/2 round up
- Defense: Finesse + Rank/2 round up. (maximum is 10)
- Speed: highest between Power and Finesse + Rank.
- Spending Essence to boost Attributes does not increase derived traits
- When a roll would call for Attribute + Attribute, an ephemeral instead rolls the highest between the relevant Attributes (e.g. highest between Finesse and Resistance for Perception).
- Subtract Rank from rolls unrelated to the ephemeral’s purview.
- Instead of always rolling Power + Finesse for powers, roll a thematically fitting Attribute + Rank.
