  1. [2011-02-14 18::52:52] Doink: [DATE: FEBRUARY 17th, 2016]
  2. [2011-02-14 18::53:14] Doink: [LOCATION: SOMEWHERE UNDERNEATH ARKHAM, MASS.]
  3. [2011-02-14 18::54:32] Doink: For Mia, it was a promise from her father. For Dmitriy, it was a sudden, priority message from the Commander himself.
  4. [2011-02-14 18::56:25] Doink: But whatever the reason, the two find themselves standing in the Commander's office, along with its owner and Dr. Al-Misiri himself. A surprisingly quiet moment, given the chaos which has gripped NERV in the wake of the recent activation test.
  5. [2011-02-14 18::57:47] Doink: The Commander is seated, desk terminal deactivated, surveying the unlikely pair over his steepled hands. "Director. Mia. I trust you are... recovered?"
  6. [2011-02-14 18::58:47] Dmitriy_Platonov: nods. "I don't feel any different than before the incident. So I hope that there were no consequences."
  7. [2011-02-14 19::00:56] Mia_al-Misiri: has taken about half an hour of doing nothing to be back to normal.
  8. [2011-02-14 19::01:08] Mia_al-Misiri: "Yeah."
  9. [2011-02-14 19::01:59] Doink: Carter nods, and abruptly gets to his feet, his tablet at his side. "Excellent. In that case, follow me."
  10. [2011-02-14 19::03:38] Mia_al-Misiri: is a little surprised.
  11. [2011-02-14 19::03:42] Mia_al-Misiri: "Where to?"
  12. [2011-02-14 19::04:27] Doink: "The reason for all of this," Al-Misiri replies, following behind Carter towards the door.
  13. [2011-02-14 19::04:31] Dmitriy_Platonov: nods. The company of Mia interests him, but... probably the meaning of this will be revealed soon.
  14. [2011-02-14 19::06:03] Doink: Carter leads you down a familiar hallway, down towards the Elevator to the labs of the Science division.
  15. [2011-02-14 19::06:12] Mia_al-Misiri: shuts up because she doesn't want to ruin this
  16. [2011-02-14 19::07:34] Doink: In the elevator, Al-Misiri swipes his ID and dials in a code, and it descends. Past the level which Dmitriy visited previously.
  17. [2011-02-14 19::07:45] Doink: It seems to descend for a very, very long time.
  18. [2011-02-14 19::09:05] Doink: Finally, it stops. The lights in the elevator dim, and the doors slide open.
  19. [2011-02-14 19::10:46] Doink: Outside is a long, low-ceilinged room. The floor and ceiling are covered in intricate carved sigils and signs, intertwined in patterns too complex to work out at first glance, occasionally supplemented by protruding shapes or splashes of red that couldn't possibly be what you think...
  20. [2011-02-14 19::11:15] Mia_al-Misiri: lets out an interested "Ooh."
  21. [2011-02-14 19::11:56] Doink: You cannot see any walls, the edges of the room vanishing to dark in the distance. You can, though, make out what looks like a column of glass between the floor and ceiling. A structure which Mia should recognize instantly....
  22. [2011-02-14 19::12:07] Dmitriy_Platonov: at first tries to examine the sigils and signs. But then stops, and looks straight ahead, avoiding looking at them.
  23. [2011-02-14 19::12:17] Doink: Carter strides out immediately into the dark. "Come. We still have a ways to go from here."
  24. [2011-02-14 19::12:25] Mia_al-Misiri: pauses.
  25. [2011-02-14 19::12:31] Mia_al-Misiri: "It's the tank! Why are we here?"
  26. [2011-02-14 19::12:38] Mia_al-Misiri: sounds more interested than alarmed.
  27. [2011-02-14 19::13:11] Dmitriy_Platonov: follows Carter, because getting lost here doesn't looks like a good idea.
  28. [2011-02-14 19::14:16] Doink: Dr. Al-Misiri: "We have to pass through here to get where we're going." He turns to Dmitriy as they follow Carter. "This is where Mia was... born, and where we run our periodic checks on her condition, as well as store her backups."
  29. [2011-02-14 19::14:41] Mia_al-Misiri: keeps up after slowing for a moment to look at stuff.
  30. [2011-02-14 19::15:16] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Backups?!" - Dmitriy looks at the Doctor with wide eyes. - "I... how does it work? I thought she was the only one successful result..."
  31. [2011-02-14 19::19:58] Doink: Al-Misiri: "She was, yes, but... its difficult to explain. Put simply, her existence is somewhere between that of you or me, and the beings we've been fighting against. She's not necessarily... bound to a particular body."
  32. [2011-02-14 19::20:08] Mia_al-Misiri: has no idea, and just vaguely keeps up, not really listening.
  33. [2011-02-14 19::20:50] Mia_al-Misiri: "Is this the alien thing?"
  34. [2011-02-14 19::20:57] Doink: Carter leads you in a straight path through the darkness, not following any trail you can discern. Besides the shifting patterns beneath your feet and the occasional column of glass, keeping track of your position is near impossible.
  35. [2011-02-14 19::21:07] Mia_al-Misiri: only just catches his words. She doesn't sound concerned
  36. [2011-02-14 19::21:54] Doink: Al-Misiri: "...Yes, Mia. You remember when we placed you in your new body after New Years?"
  37. [2011-02-14 19::22:18] Mia_al-Misiri: "Yeah..."
  38. [2011-02-14 19::22:23] Mia_al-Misiri: sounds down at this.
  39. [2011-02-14 19::22:53] Dmitriy_Platonov: "...You mean... this New Year? What was the reason for that?" - Dmitriy stares at Doctor, shuddering a little. - "I really hope you know what you are doing..."
  40. [2011-02-14 19::24:32] Doink: Al-Misiri clears his throat. "Erm, it was a necessary precaution. It's difficult to keep the proportions of alien and human biology stable, so that the Nth phase form can take proper residence.... sorry, I'm drifting into science terms again, aren't I?" He scratches his head awkwardly.
  41. [2011-02-14 19::25:52] Dmitriy_Platonov: "I think I can vaguely understand... Does it happen often? And... does it affect Mia somehow?"
  42. [2011-02-14 19::26:40] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Not terribly. Besides this most recent resleeve we've only had to do it twice before, when she was younger. We've gotten quite good at it."
  43. [2011-02-14 19::28:04] Dmitriy_Platonov: sighs. "Some days ago I would be terribly distressed by this information. Now I just consider it as a fact."
  44. [2011-02-14 19::28:08] Doink: Suddenly, Carter comes to a stop. "We've arrived at the next... landmark. Everyone please remain still."
  45. [2011-02-14 19::29:52] Dmitriy_Platonov: stops after being told to.
  46. [2011-02-14 19::30:02] Doink: He reaches into his jacket and pulls out what seems, in the low light which seems to suffuse this expanse, to be an ornate knife.
  47. [2011-02-14 19::30:12] Mia_al-Misiri: wanders forward for a moment before realising she should stop.
  48. [2011-02-14 19::30:39] Doink: And slits a long, narrow cut into his hand.
  49. [2011-02-14 19::31:22] Doink: Carter: "We are about to pass beyond the creations of mankind, and across the threshold of our predecessors."
  50. [2011-02-14 19::31:24] Mia_al-Misiri: exclaims.
  51. [2011-02-14 19::31:31] Doink: "The rules here can be... strange."
  52. [2011-02-14 19::31:32] Mia_al-Misiri: "Aaaa what are you doing!!"
  53. [2011-02-14 19::32:00] Doink: He holds out his hand. Drops of red drip down to the floor, running along the strange grooved patterns beneath your feet.
  54. [2011-02-14 19::32:24] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Predecessors?" - Dmitriy echoes.
  55. [2011-02-14 19::32:27] Doink: Which forms, quicker than the liquid should move, a perfect circle around the group.
  56. [2011-02-14 19::33:04] Doink: There is a mechanical jerk, and you begin again to descend.
  57. [2011-02-14 19::34:16] Doink: Carter: "Of course. We did not construct the Geofront, after all. We merely built on top of it. The ruins of the Elder Race."
  58. [2011-02-14 19::34:46] Mia_al-Misiri: looks a bit worried by all the blood and stuff.
  59. [2011-02-14 19::39:12] Doink: Carter: "This structure is one of the only two surviving ruins of their... culture. The other is located at the Plateau of Leng in Antarctica."
  60. [2011-02-14 19::39:48] Dmitriy_Platonov: "I see. The myths were true after all."
  61. [2011-02-14 19::41:10] Doink: Al-Misiri nods. "Since their discovery in the mid nineties, many of the technological advances we have made have come from reverse-engineering their technology. Including the Evangelions."
  62. [2011-02-14 19::42:19] Mia_al-Misiri: wanders over.
  63. [2011-02-14 19::42:28] Mia_al-Misiri: "Were they aliens?"
  64. [2011-02-14 19::44:32] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Yes, Mia, but not like the Avatars we've been fighting. They were like people—of course, they looked nothing like us, but they didn't have AT fields. They only had four dimensions like humans do, but they had learned how to manipulate things from higher dimensions artificially."
  65. [2011-02-14 19::44:55] Mia_al-Misiri: goes blank.
  66. [2011-02-14 19::45:00] Mia_al-Misiri: "What?"
  67. [2011-02-14 19::45:51] Doink: He scratches his head. "Um... yes, they were aliens."
  68. [2011-02-14 19::46:14] Mia_al-Misiri: "And they did all this stuff?"
  69. [2011-02-14 19::46:22] Mia_al-Misiri: looks around.
  70. [2011-02-14 19::46:50] Doink: Carter: "Yes, Mia. They were quite powerful, but they lived, as we do, in a universe... which cares nothing for beings such as us."
  71. [2011-02-14 19::47:18] Mia_al-Misiri: "I don't know what that means. Why did you have to cut your arm for?"
  72. [2011-02-14 19::47:37] Dmitriy_Platonov: smiles just a little. "At least the universe isn't malevolent. Just passive. It means that we have a chance."
  73. [2011-02-14 19::48:01] Doink: Carter frowns. "Hardly. The Elder Race fled here, you know."
  74. [2011-02-14 19::49:08] Dmitriy_Platonov: "But we have nowhere to flee..."
  75. [2011-02-14 19::49:31] Doink: Carter: "But we know why they fled /here/..."
  76. [2011-02-14 19::50:15] Mia_al-Misiri: forgets about being ignored.
  77. [2011-02-14 19::50:17] Mia_al-Misiri: "Why?"
  78. [2011-02-14 19::50:25] Doink: Suddenly, there is light. The platform descends out of its tunnel and into the midst of another vast expanse.
  79. [2011-02-14 19::50:33] Mia_al-Misiri: "Ooh!"
  80. [2011-02-14 19::51:58] Doink: This room is tall—the ceiling hundreds of feet above the ground. From this height, it appears as a tumbled mass of coiled cables of an unknown material, all trailing their way towards the massive space's center.
  81. [2011-02-14 19::53:10] Doink: The platform changes direction, descending diagonally towards the floor and towards the center of the expanse.
  82. [2011-02-14 19::53:21] Doink: Although you see no lights, the whole area seems brightly lit. There are no shadows anywhere.
  83. [2011-02-14 19::53:38] Mia_al-Misiri: "Oh wow! This is huge!"
  84. [2011-02-14 19::53:44] Mia_al-Misiri: is kind of excited.
  85. [2011-02-14 19::54:20] Dmitriy_Platonov: looks around nervously, noticing the absence of shadows. "What is this place? Another cavern..."
  86. [2011-02-14 19::55:18] Doink: Al-Misiri: "This is the central chamber. An entire civilization once pulled all of its power from this room."
  87. [2011-02-14 19::55:25] Doink: Carter: "Their greatest mistake."
  88. [2011-02-14 19::58:03] Dmitriy_Platonov: listens with a scholar's curiosity. The great secrets of ancient times are unfolding before him!
  89. [2011-02-14 19::58:07] Doink: Carter: "Before the dawn of man, the Elder Race was... drawn here. They rebuilt their civilization here, on... what we consider 'our' planet. They built cities, created works of art, developed sciences which we are only now are beginning to truly comprehend."
  90. [2011-02-14 19::58:39] Doink: Carter: "But they were not the only ones who... answered it's call."
  91. [2011-02-14 19::59:13] Mia_al-Misiri: "Yes but why did they come here? You said it before!"
  92. [2011-02-14 19::59:25] Mia_al-Misiri: looks back excitedly for a moment.
  93. [2011-02-14 19::59:47] Doink: Carter merely gestures forward. "We should be arriving at it... shortly."
  94. [2011-02-14 20::00:15] Mia_al-Misiri: "It's the thing there?"
  95. [2011-02-14 20::00:19] Mia_al-Misiri: looks on.
  96. [2011-02-14 20::00:21] Doink: You know it's presence before you can see it.
  97. [2011-02-14 20::00:40] Mia_al-Misiri: "...What is it? It's weird."
  98. [2011-02-14 20::00:55] Doink: A vast, terrible magnificence. Greater than all things you've ever known before.
  99. [2011-02-14 20::01:33] Doink: A shape looms out of the distance. The only point of darkness in a room otherwise devoid of shadow.
  100. [2011-02-14 20::01:57] Mia_al-Misiri: frowns deeply, still looking to it.
  101. [2011-02-14 20::02:30] Dmitriy_Platonov: stares at the dark shape blankly, expecting the grand reveal with uncertain feelings.
  102. [2011-02-14 20::02:42] Doink: A massive Obelisk of black—no, not black. It is an Absence, a lack-of-being, suspended in the midst of millions of intertwined cables, all feeding into its spectral darkness.
  103. [2011-02-14 20::03:30] Doink: Its is an absolute figure. Around it, things seem... faded. Washed out. Less... real.
  104. [2011-02-14 20::03:54] Doink: As if, here, it is all that is real, and everything else just specters. Facades. Dreams.
  105. [2011-02-14 20::05:15] Doink: "Outside the ordered universe, that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity..." Carter says, as if reciting a line of poetry. "The Fragment."
  106. [2011-02-14 20::05:49] Dmitriy_Platonov: "What is this?" - Dmitriy finally manages to ask after looking at this thing for a long time, after forcing himself to remember that he is real and people around him are real too. - "The Fragment of... what?"
  107. [2011-02-14 20::06:12] Mia_al-Misiri: puts her hand between her eyes and the thing and waves it about.
  108. [2011-02-14 20::06:28] Doink: And Carter finishes: "the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes..."
  109. [2011-02-14 20::07:47] Doink: Carter: "How the Elder Race contained it, here, we may never comprehend. But here, on this seemingly insignificant planet, they found a link to the center of all being. And... tapped it for power."
  110. [2011-02-14 20::09:08] Dmitriy_Platonov: "This is impossible!" - Dmitriy whispers. - "This is... the most advantageous thing that could have been done ever!"
  111. [2011-02-14 20::11:30] Doink: Carter: "But it was their downfall. Azathoth has followers, after all. And although they can only manifest themselves in this reality under certain circumstances... eventually they came for the Fragment."
  112. [2011-02-14 20::12:24] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Avatars."
  113. [2011-02-14 20::12:56] Mia_al-Misiri: "...Why don't you just give it to them?"
  114. [2011-02-14 20::12:59] Mia_al-Misiri: has sat down.
  115. [2011-02-14 20::14:33] Doink: Al-Misiri steps forward, nodding to Dmitriy. "The Elder Race didn't go quietly, though. They created incredible war-machines to fight these 'Great Old Ones.' Beasts which could fight them using their own weapons, fighting in higher dimensions as well as these four they inhabited."
  116. [2011-02-14 20::14:54] Doink: Carter, meanwhile, actually turns to Mia. "Do you know who Azathoth is, Mia?"
  117. [2011-02-14 20::16:02] Mia_al-Misiri: looks up and shakes her head.
  118. [2011-02-14 20::16:14] Dmitriy_Platonov: "But they lost... why? What happened?"
  119. [2011-02-14 20::18:35] Doink: Al-Misiri: "It wasn't enough. Their final creations—the Shoggoths of legend—were never fully completed. They retreated to their stronghold at the South Pole, taking the Fragment with them, and eventually died out. But they held out long enough to prevent the Great Old Ones from reaching it before their time in this reality had ended."
  120. [2011-02-14 20::20:17] Dmitriy_Platonov: "...The Alignment of Stars? And it is Right again?"
  121. [2011-02-14 20::20:20] Doink: Carter actually smiles at Mia—not the most pleasant expression on his face. "You see, Mia, at the center of everything that is, is Azathoth. It is all powerful, yet blind, and deaf, and mute. It does nothing but sit, immobile, and dream. And that dream, Mia, is this universe."
  122. [2011-02-14 20::20:53] Mia_al-Misiri: looks down to think, then back at him.
  123. [2011-02-14 20::21:13] Doink: Carter: "Everything—me, your father, Dmitriy, this room, the Earth, all of it is merely another part of Azathoth's dreamings."
  124. [2011-02-14 20::22:31] Mia_al-Misiri: "Oh that's nice. What if he wakes up?"
  125. [2011-02-14 20::22:42] Mia_al-Misiri: looks back up.
  126. [2011-02-14 20::22:58] Doink: Carter: "That, Mia, is what we are trying very, very hard to prevent."
  127. [2011-02-14 20::23:36] Mia_al-Misiri: "...What if he's nice?"
  128. [2011-02-14 20::25:41] Doink: Al-Misiri: "The Great Old Ones may be powerful to us, but they're a part of this universe as we are. But if they were to reach even a little piece of their God, they could transcend it and be with the Outer Gods in his court. And, most likely... make It 'wake up.'"
  129. [2011-02-14 20::26:09] Doink: Carter: "After which It's temperament will be unimportant, as we will all collectively cease to exist."
  130. [2011-02-14 20::26:51] Mia_al-Misiri: "Oh. What if he goes back to sleep?"
  131. [2011-02-14 20::27:12] Dmitriy_Platonov: "There will be a different story, I suppose..." - Dmitriy smiles weakly.
  132. [2011-02-14 20::28:29] Doink: Carter nods. "We would prefer not to consider that possibility, and instead insure that It continues to slumber as peacefully as we can. But, as you can tell, the stars are once again right, and the Great Old Ones have begun their ceaseless quest for the Fragment again."
  133. [2011-02-14 20::29:02] Doink: Carter: "This is NERV's mission: to ensure the continued survival of humanity and the very existence of our world."
  134. [2011-02-14 20::29:46] Dmitriy_Platonov: "But what are we going to do with this?"
  135. [2011-02-14 20::33:04] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Protect it. However we can. Using it ourselves has proved too dangerous..."
  136. [2011-02-14 20::36:18] Doink: Carter nods. "It was moved here after what we call 'Second Impact.' We were lucky that a suitable containment room was already present at the ruins here, as it is more easily defensible than the Plataeu."
  137. [2011-02-14 20::36:22] Dmitriy_Platonov: "This is a surprisingly modest and cautious statement, Doctor. I expected more... power-hunger and researcher's curiosity."
  138. [2011-02-14 20::36:55] Doink: Al-Misiri smiles sadly. "We had that, once. Then we almost ended the human race ourselves."
  139. [2011-02-14 20::39:02] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Let me guess. Antarctica. Starkweaver-Moore Expedition..."
  140. [2011-02-14 20::41:14] Doink: He nods. "We had no idea what we had discovered, then. It wasn't until Howard found the records in the Necronomicon that it all started to make sense. And by the, it was already too late. We repaired the containment field, but not before... It's form was revealed, for just an instant."
  141. [2011-02-14 20::41:45] Doink: "These aren't things for the power-hungry to be involved in."
  142. [2011-02-14 20::42:13] Doink: Carter: "Which brings us to our next... order of business."
  143. [2011-02-14 20::42:39] Doink: There is a soft mechanical click.
  144. [2011-02-14 20::42:58] Doink: Carter, it seems, has a gun.
  145. [2011-02-14 20::43:10] Doink: And is, now, pointing it at Dmitriy.
  146. [2011-02-14 20::45:49] Doink: Carter: "There are no monitoring devices this deep. Our electronics do not work properly in this proximity to the Fragment. We are completely... isolated."
  147. [2011-02-14 20::46:14] Doink: Carter: "Which makes this the proper place to ask... where /your/ loyalties lie, Dmitriy."
  148. [2011-02-14 20::46:24] Mia_al-Misiri: looks away from the monolith at the commotion.
  149. [2011-02-14 20::46:45] Mia_al-Misiri: "...What are you doing!!?!"
  150. [2011-02-14 20::47:31] Doink: Dr. Al-Misiri: "Sorry, Mia. This is just... just a precaution."
  151. [2011-02-14 20::54:43] Dmitriy_Platonov: was on a gunpoint before, so he manages to keep his calm. "That is a good question. But you've asked it before. My loyalties lie with humanity. I don't want to die, I don't want to be enslaved by an eldritch godling or a fool attempting to become like it, I don't want to suffer a fate worse than death. That's it, Howard. This thing is clearly not for our use. Not now."
  152. [2011-02-14 20::55:55] Doink: Carter nods, but his gun doesn't waver. "And yet you have, it seems, consorted with those who would think otherwise."
  153. [2011-02-14 20::56:52] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Who would that be?"
  154. [2011-02-14 20::57:15] Doink: Al-Misiri: "I'm sorry, Dmitriy, but the YGSTH System uses a backdoor present in all modern operating systems to operate undetected. Except I helped code it."
  155. [2011-02-14 20::57:48] Doink: Carter: "Have they bought you, Dmitriy? Those star-blinded fools who call themselves an Order?"
  156. [2011-02-14 21::00:35] Dmitriy_Platonov: smiles a little. "I see. Well, then I assume that you saw the logs of our conversations. Which were full of me asking questions. Not telling them anything. Me being polite and accepting some information doesn't mean anything. Also, their rethorics were quite similar to yours. They spoke of survival of human race."
  157. [2011-02-14 21::02:33] Doink: Carter: "They do, yes. But simple survival is the least of their goals..."
  158. [2011-02-14 21::03:22] Dmitriy_Platonov: "And what is the greater? What is their... Scenario?"
  159. [2011-02-14 21::03:43] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Howard, he doesn't know. And they wouldn't have told him if he wasn't an actual member."
  160. [2011-02-14 21::05:49] Doink: Carter: "They would do as you said shouldn't be done. They would follow the example set by the invading Old Ones and use the Fragment for themselves."
  161. [2011-02-14 21::08:10] Dmitriy_Platonov: "They are out of their minds..." - Dmitriy's voice fails for a moment. - "This... how can they even think about it knowing at least as little as I know? Human can't bear this burden!"
  162. [2011-02-14 21::08:11] Doink: Carter: "Then Men would become as the Great Old Ones themselves, abominations without knowledge of morality, or reason, or any of the things that separate man from... monster. Powerful and damned. To them, NERV is but a front, a temporary bulwark against the Old Ones while they complete their plans for... 'transcendence'."
  163. [2011-02-14 21::09:21] Doink: Carter: "But no. We will not stand idly by while they—"
  164. [2011-02-14 21::09:42] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Howard!"
  165. [2011-02-14 21::10:33] Doink: Carter quiets down. "...Excuse me." He finally lowers the pistol. "I apologize for the... regrettable necessity of my actions here. It was the only way to be sure."
  166. [2011-02-14 21::13:45] Mia_al-Misiri: stares with horror.
  167. [2011-02-14 21::14:43] Dmitriy_Platonov: "There's no need to apologize because there was no damage done. You can count on me... But I still is interested how are they going to explain their... dabbling with the thing that must not be named. Are they already going to sabotage our work?"
  168. [2011-02-14 21::17:13] Doink: Al-Misiri: "I guess you heard of their 'scenario?' According to it, we are to turn over control of the Fragment at a particular time, and transport it back to Leng. There are machines there which would... well, with the power of the Fragment, they would do just about whatever they want with them."
  169. [2011-02-14 21::18:17] Dmitriy_Platonov: "When is it going to happen?"
  170. [2011-02-14 21::18:32] Doink: Carter: "As for their alliance with the Carcosan... I must admit we are as ignorant as you in that regard. It appears their Scenario has changed since our... defection."
  171. [2011-02-14 21::19:18] Doink: Carter: "According to the plan as we knew it, in December of this year. Given our recent behavior and their possession of a working Evangelion, though, that timetable is likely to accelerate."
  172. [2011-02-14 21::20:32] Dmitriy_Platonov: "I see. Can we guess anything about the King? What can be his profit in this? Is he a creature of our universe or an outsider?"
  173. [2011-02-14 21::22:54] Doink: Al-Misiri: "He's a Great Old One, but a particularly powerful one... and a very hard one to predict. If his legend is to be believed, though, he would be trying to bring our world into Carcosa, as he has so many others. But I honestly can't tell you how that would tie into HOST's plan, unless they plan to sacrifice the rest of humanity to his whims after they 'transcend'."
  174. [2011-02-14 21::23:17] » Mia_al-Misiri is now known as Blast.
