  1. The building is white with the entrance flanked by imposing looking columns (in the style of a Palladian facade), sandwiched between a bank and another club. The building is 5 stories tall and much deeper than it is wide, to fit the various accomodations. The interior is luxuriously apportioned, albeit in a style that was more in-vouge in the 1850s than the modern nights, though concessions to modernity such as electric lighting have been tastefully incorporated. The area where guests are most often entertained, the guest bar and lounge, has a burgandy carpeted floor and walls made from ornately carved oak wood. Paintings (and a handful of photographs) of famous Englishmen and Women hang on the walls of the room. The furniture is made from oak and deep brown leather. There is at least one person at the bar 24/7, and staff will see to it that any need of the guests (food or drink) is quickly attended to.
