  1. Mind Flayer (Illithid) Partial Conversion
  2.
  3. This type of Mind Flayer often results from a brain slug insertion failing to completely take over the subject. Usually regarded as weak, poor excuses for illithids, it is nonetheless possible for this type of mind flayer to still reach the true heights of illithid power, and so they are directed to carry out errands for full illithids until they do. There are however some cases of the host mind remaining mostly intact with these, simply living as a Mind Flayer and perhaps waiting for an opportunity to turn on his supposed fellows.
  4.
  5. ==Abilities== -2 Con, +2 Int, +2 Cha
  6. ==Type== Aberration
  7. ==Size== Medium
  8. ==Speed== 30ft
  9. ==Languages== Common, Undercommon
  10. ==Other== Darkvision 60ft
  11. Naturally Psionic (+2pp)
  12.
  13. ==Tentacle Tie (Ex)==
  14. When your target in a grapple is pinned, you can use your tentacles to make a Tie Up attempt instead of rope, and you remain affixed to your enemy. This is exceedingly difficult and even stunned opponents will compulsively resist it.
  15.
  16. ==Extract (Ex)==
  17. When you still have a target completely tied up in your tentacles at the start of your turn, you may take a full-round action to suck its brains out with no further checks required. Whether that actually kills the creature (or they have a brain at all) depends case to case, but if it does, you gain 2 psionic power points up to your maximum for the day.
  18.
  19. ==Mind Blast (Su) [Mind-Affecting]==
  20. In a 15 foot cone in front of you, all creatures are rendered stunned for 1d2 rounds. This can be negated with a successful Will save at DC 10 + 1/2 your HD plus the higher of your Intelligence or Charisma modifiers. You may use this ability once per 10 rounds, or twice in the same time period by spending 2 power points (but not more than twice).
  21.
  22. At level 5 the cone extends to 30ft and the stun duration to 2d3 rounds, and you can choose to instead use the level 1 variation without having to wait to Mind Blast again afterward.
  23.
  24. At level 10 the cone extends to 60ft and the stun duration to 3d4 rounds, and you can choose to instead use the level 5 variation without having to wait to Mind Blast again afterward.
  25.
  26. At level 15 you can use the level 10 variation without having to wait to Mind Blast again afterward. Other Mind Flayers will now acknowledge you to be fully-developed.
