  1. in this case I see you using the block function to express extreme disapproval for the content he's posting and that's completely your right to do that, obviously. I'm just curious why in this context, somebody not choosing to interact with you directly, which means his content and what he chooses to re-tweet would not enter your sphere of awareness, the block does not have any bearing on that, it's meant to keep somebody from contacting you directly or actual harassment, so yeah, I would guess in this case, it's not for the actual functionality of what the block accomplishes, but the gesture, what it represents, the action itself feels hateful, hate to counter hate as it were. My views most likely align much more closely with YOU on the subject matter in question than they do with Johnny, who I know to be a decent human being, and I guess it hurts me as well to see him written off like a villainous troll when he's just frustrated and lashing out, albeit unjustly, in his own way. I'd just like to see somebody break the cycle.
