       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

root@proxmox2:~# cgdisk /dev/sdb1
root@proxmox2:~# mount -t ext /dev/sdb1 /mnt/sdb1
mount: unknown filesystem type 'ext'
