Chapter 125 /The battle in the Roswaal residence

Otto starts using some basic earth magic that Elsa easily brushes off.
Making use of that opportunity, Subaru takes Petra and jumps to one of the guest rooms to one side of him.
Otto once again attempts to throw a fire magic stone to burn Elsa but she also gets rid of it by throwing a knife. Elsa kicks Otto after this.
In this part, Elsa recognizes Subaru from the royal capital. Subaru asks her to leave them because they know each other but she refuses saying she takes her time to see the guts of the bowels that she missed to kill.

"Wah, you have the collector's soul!"

Subaru burns his brain thinking of a way out after feeling Petra tightly grabbing his sleeve.
He could feel the gate inside his body had already died. Both his gate and his mana would not react in the slightest no matter how he prayed or attempted to burn his soul anymore. Using Shamac in this place would be impossible, and it was even stupid to think about it since Subaru himself would not be able to move anymore if he did.
In which case, the only card left to rely on was――Invisible Providence.

The instant he decides to use it, some eerie and estrange thing starts crawling inside Subaru's body.

Subaru draws from the trigger like a bow, aiming for the center of Elsa who was holding her two daggers.
All that was left was releasing it and Elsa's slender body would be teared up and pierced.

A muddy and wriggling thing starts flowing into Subaru's blood vessels and running through his body.
Feeling as if his breathing could be visible, as if it was covered by a profound heat, Subaru could foresee the future in which the unfathomable dark nails would cut Elsa in half.

Subaru is attacked by a numb pain of having his flank pinched along with a voice filled with sorrow.

Elsa had already prepared to jump. Subaru quickly tries to set his aim on her once again but he wouldn't make it anymore――In that moment,

"――You evaded that!?"

Frederica interrupts and saves Subaru and Petra.

"Frederica, thanks. You saved us. Also, Petra, you too."

Subaru calls out to the Frederica that had just arrived and then thanks Petra who was still holding his hand. Hearing that, the teary eyed Petra shakes his head and,

"I-I'm the one that should be apologizing. But, Subaru...your eyes were scary just now and..."

"Honestly, I was about to get swallowed. It probably would've been bad without someone to bring me back. Of course I can't be relying on Invisible Providence that carelessly..."

"Invi...What is that?"

Knowing his trump card was a double edged sword was no longer anything surprising for Subaru.

The only problem was that its utility had just become even more reduced――Subaru could only pray the defect from right now was caused from his consecutive use of it.
At the very least, Subaru only had the presentiment that the things he would lose in exchange for relaying on Invisible Providence for this fight were too big.

"Frederica nee-sama."

Frederica compliments Petra for holding out all this time and tells Subaru that Rem was safe with her and shows him a Rem that is tightly tied to her back. Subaru quickly screams saying that Frederica moving all that much with Rem tied up on her back could easily break Rem's neck.
Subaru starts counting the people that can fight against Elsa and doesn't count Otto, Otto quickly rises up and tells Subaru not to imply he was dead.
Elsa had waited for them to finish talking before asking if she could attack once again. Frederica asks what happened to Garfield to Subaru, but before they can arrive to a conclusion, the ceiling breaks and Garfield jumps in attacking Elsa once again.

Garfield tells everyone that he got attacked by some mabeasts and that Elsa escaped in that time. After this, Meili shows up riding a big mabeast and Subaru asks Garfield if he can take care of both of them. Garfield accepts and allows Subaru, Frederica, Petra and Otto to escape, not before they find out the entire mansion if filled with mabeasts already.
