- [2016-07-30 11:44:29 AM] Aurelia Alder: Hello there! I have just signed on. Welcome to the July live chat.
- [2016-07-30 11:45:27 AM] Aurelia Alder: I had short notice to set it up so what I will do is just leave this chat open and respond to things from all of you for the next few days.
- [2016-07-30 11:45:45 AM] Aurelia Alder: But I will in particular be here for the next few hours.
- [2016-07-30 11:46:00 AM] Aurelia Alder: Any question, any topic, let me know.
- [2016-07-30 12:44:01 PM] Lucidair: I am very excited.
- How is your process creating a hypnosis file?
- Do you always have a precise plan ahead or are you sometimes surprised
- by your own creations?
- [2016-07-30 12:53:37 PM] Aurelia Alder: I am always surprised at some point. Because the journey involves writing and THEN reading, the mental process changes
- [2016-07-30 12:54:00 PM] Aurelia Alder: So one thinks of new twists on the same ideas
- [2016-07-30 12:58:03 PM] Aurelia Alder: I tend to think in series
- [2016-07-30 1:00:57 PM] Lucidair: Indeed, I love the idea of a process: In particular custom recordings are very special.
- It starts with my wish of being hypnotized.
- Then, I have to become aware of my own feelings, wishes and maybe fears
- and I write it down.
- Then it goes throughs the whole creative process of the hypnotist.
- And when I receive the final result, it is so magical and often expresses my own thoughts and feelings better than I could have - and at the same time very creative full of wonderful surprising ideas and twists.
- [2016-07-30 1:04:44 PM] Aurelia Alder: Well I am pleased to be able to create custom audios, because it is very useful to have specific guidance. A series might go anywhere before it is through, because I am spreading a broad subject matter into a whole "course"
- [2016-07-30 1:05:27 PM] Aurelia Alder: As an example I am working on chastity files for people with key holders. Since I will not be the key holder myself, I have a broad area to describe and address
- [2016-07-30 1:06:18 PM] Lucidair: How long have you been doing hypnosis?
- [2016-07-30 1:09:27 PM] Aurelia Alder: Dabbling for two years. Really only serious for the last year.
- [2016-07-30 1:09:57 PM] Aurelia Alder: I knew I had some interest in mind control as a theme longer than that, but I did not really get into it until then
- [2016-07-30 1:57:46 PM] Lucidair: Do you think that your hypnosis skills are
- just enhancements of the skills you always had?
- I have the impression that you are very aware about the power of your
- voice and it's just natural for you getting the fullest attention of your listener.
- [2016-07-30 2:00:41 PM] Aurelia Alder: I do often proceed on the assumption people would listen to me even if the words were not hypnotic
- [2016-07-30 2:01:08 PM] Aurelia Alder: Partly because yes the right confident voice and tone can be very attention grabbing
- [2016-07-30 2:01:29 PM] Aurelia Alder: but it is definitely a skill set of correct words and patterns which deserves careful study
- [2016-07-30 2:13:25 PM] Lucidair: You seem to master it very well. Usually when I listen to your recordings
- I cannot say afterwards which techniques you have used.
- It's so completely organic that I can just enjoy the bliss of being hypnotized by you.
- [2016-07-30 2:14:38 PM] Lucidair: What do you think about the connection between personality
- and hypnosis? For example, my MBTI is INFJ:introverted, intuitive (in contrast to sensing), feeling (in contrast to thinking) and judging (preferring fast decisions). Do you think that this plays role why I feel so much drawn to you and
- your work?
- [2016-07-30 2:29:34 PM] Aurelia Alder: Hmm. MBTI has very poor validity and reliability, and so tends to not be associated with very much. I would be surprised if MBTI had much to do with hypnotizability. From the research I have read, high creativity is strongly associated with hypnotizability, as well as people who daydream and meditate.
- [2016-07-30 2:29:52 PM] Aurelia Alder: As to why you might feel drawn to my work, well, I like to think of my work as quite sexy ;)
- [2016-07-30 2:32:40 PM] Lucidair: Well, my MBTI predicts that I enjoy personality tests which is precisely true ;-).
- [2016-07-30 2:33:35 PM] Aurelia Alder: And really, I think some of the characteristics of my work as opposed to other hypnotists are that my writing tends to be more intellectual and complex, linguistically and narratively and in terms of hypnotic technique.
- [2016-07-30 2:34:03 PM] Aurelia Alder: I tend to be more sensual rather than directly sexually descriptive.
- [2016-07-30 2:34:17 PM] Aurelia Alder: (Not that I am not rather direct at times ;) g
- [2016-07-30 2:36:44 PM] Lucidair: Yes, I think that’s a good mixture. One of the first definitions of "erotic" I have learned is that is always about something hidden: more about what is not shown than what is shown. I think that it is very true. And of course, I think that variation plays a role too.
- [2016-07-30 2:37:30 PM] Aurelia Alder: Anyways, I need to run right now.
- [2016-07-30 2:38:23 PM] Lucidair: I wish you good day! I’ll have a sleep (it’s night here).
- [2016-07-30 2:38:56 PM] Aurelia Alder: I'll post my side of this log on Patreon (and include relevant portions of your questions and comments), and of course I'll be checking this chat on and off over the next couple days if you have and more thought and questions. Cheers all!
- [2016-07-30 2:39:03 PM] Aurelia Alder: And good night!
- [2016-07-30 6:47:22 PM] Ganryu: Sadly I missed the Q&A session, but being able to read over it was quite informative :D
- Also, Yes, your work is quite sexy Ms. Alder :)
- [2016-07-30 6:55:51 PM] Ganryu: I did have a question, actually. I am also a fan of Elena McIvor's work and saw she had done a cover for your Labyrinth file (which was awesome btw ;), both versions) and was curious as to if any more collaborations might be in the works between you and her? or other tists as well.
- [2016-07-30 6:57:22 PM] Ganryu: one other question actually lol, Are there other hypnotists whom you look up to? whether that be as role-models or even just a sourse of inspiration
- [2016-07-30 6:57:33 PM] Ganryu: *source
- [2016-07-30 7:02:29 PM] Aurelia Alder: I am also a fan of Elena McIvor's work ;)! She's a lovely woman, and a truly stellar hypnotist, and has been incredibly supportive of helping me further develop my hypnotic technique and get started on Patreon. Elena and I have been in touch. Without giving any spoilers, you can definitely look forward to a variety of collaborative work ;).
- [2016-07-30 7:04:01 PM] Aurelia Alder: As to other hypnotists, I don't know. I admire Chewtoy's work as well as how supportive he is in the community, and would certainly be open to collaboration there if there was something interesting.
- [2016-07-30 7:06:02 PM] Ganryu: Awesome! :D
- I will definitely be on the lookout for those ;)
- I do agree that chewtoy does a lot for the community that seems to go unnoticed by most
- [2016-07-30 7:07:23 PM] Aurelia Alder: Yes! I feel bad that there just isn't as much market for male-voiced hypno out there - Chewtoy deserves much more respect and attention that he gets, both for his work and his role in the community!
