- Chapter 1
- November 15th, 1945
- Near Breslau, Germany
- >The only terror going through your mind were the attitudes from the nazis, given the current situation of the nazi party, and the downfall of the reich, you began to question if perhaps, anything had changed since the height of the Nazi invasion
- >You were working alongside a small group of infantry troops, overseeing the investigation into a laboratory incident that took place in North West Germany, causing the US to lose contact with a large division of marines. You were informed the accident resulted in vast amounts of radiation escaping the site, and of course, your knowledge in Radiology meant you were assigned without second thought
- >A division whom were to resort back to the deserving love and care of wives, children, friends and family
- >Only for it to be stripped away in an instant
- >Shortly after the announcement of Adolf Hitlers death, the remainder of the Nazi infantry retreaded back into central Germany
- >No plan of vengeance, nor anything close to a captive strategy
- >But here you were
- >The last of your troops walked into an elaborate double-cross by an unknown group of German scientists and military operatives
- >Under the guise of the American fleet, they were able to hijack both your coastal ships and rewrite a new course for the Baltic sea, while simultaneously manipulating the US Government into believing permission had been granted by the US Naval office
- >Stripped of all arms, with little hope, you were rendered unconscious, the last thing you remember had been being attacked onboard by the Germans, and then struck by an enormous lightening bolt
- >And those words
- >Arya-Anne Lichtendittmar
- >You are certain this discreet committee have gradually seeped into every crack and crevice of the US authority since before the war even began
- >It's safe to say that this organisation has existed for a very long time
- >Your memory is still hazy, and you struggle trying to put the pieces together, wondering whether the foreign whispers and conversation of Breslau you picked up on actually happened, or whether you had merely dreamt it
- >A sudden noise shakes you, bringing you to the present, and you find yourself in the corner of a murky chamber, the contagion ridden environment and muddy hues of your surroundings only serve to dampen your hopes
- >It was clear that this building had shown the damage of warfare and open gunfire, for the walls were cracked, years of exposure to air and moisture had rusted the railings and metal catwalks beyond repair
- >Among the grime however, were tables, chairs, vials, bottles, that look like they were put there yesterday
- >This abandoned factory of some sort has been occupied, taken over and repackaged for a new purpose, clearly
- >You were in the corner of a room, and a large metal gate securing the overhead door to the right had been bent unnaturally beyond its hinges and bolted, trapping you in a temporary triangular hold
- >as you dart up and down for a source of freedom, the screech of a metal lock sounds from beyond your vision and down a flight of stairs, presumably to the entrance of the room, followed by the sound of two stallions making their way towards you
- >"hüben, hüben!"
- >"Die Halte"
- >You wait patiently for the figures to take form, and in uniform, they emerge
- >The first stallion holds a clipboard and appears to be taking notes, the more authorial of the two, marked by his differing uniform, steps forward
- >"Herr Anonymous, let me be the first to welcome you to our new, little project if you will."
- >"I really wish we could have given you better facilities, this factory however proves to be perfect location for test number 2"
- >"Fail to succeed if you will"
- Sure, Succeed..
- >He watches you, intrigued, waiting for you to continue, but you stare at the ground, thinking whether your fellow comrades are receiving the same fate
- >"In fact, failing our first experiment gave us the tools we needed to begin proper, a first draft if you will."
- >"Die Fuhrer, he was so...impatient, disposed of his troops like insects to flame."
- >"If it wasn't for the explosion-"
- You wouldn't have found me
- "This american he learns, ja?" The soldier laughed
- >"The radioactive energy our experiment failure emitted caught the attention of our, contacts, shall we say"
- >"You Americans are all the same, we knew an event of this scale wouldn't go ignored without the marines lining up their professionals to stick their entitled noses into our business"
- >"You fell right into our hooves"
- Sounds too easy if you ask me
- >You tell them what they want to hear, they've already given you enough invaluable information by which to investigate, and being held captive is a sure shot at that
- >"Of course, a plan like this couldn't go ahead without costing us something in return"
- >"One of our greatest pioneers of the Giant project lost his life to the blast, well let's say he died doing what he loved."
- >The other soldier chuckled
- >"We hold all the cards now, and we no longer need any more information, and with an asset such as yourself, it looks like we've reached the finish. And we have his most prized possession
- >"Die Fuhrer's right hand man, Herr LichtenDittmar is dead, but his daughter seems more than willing to help us, doesn't she Herr Dahl?"
- You killed your closest connection to Adolf Hitler, sounds like a plan to me..
- >He turn's to his partner, and he lowers is clipboard
- >"Fraüline LichtenDittmar wider Medikamente, aber Verbesserung zeigt"
- >Dahl steps forward, putting an arm on his shoulder
- >"He'll kill her"
- >The soldier pauses and raises his hoof, and stands, exchanging words with Dahl, a degree of anger in his voice. He turns to you
- >"Our dear Fraüline has ambitious plans for the next stage. I will leave explanations in her hooves, she is our little treasure, none of this would have been possible if not for her”
- >Keeping quiet wasn't serving you justice, and the two Nazi's smug attitude boiled your blood
- >The two of them walk over to a table beside you and begin exchanging papers
- >Dahl is the first to address him, handing over what look like medical forms of some sort
- >"Herr Friedrich"
- >"Dankeschön"
- It's over!
- >Your scream makes Dahl's head turn, almost showing fear as he anticipates Friedrich's reaction
- Every single one of you who matters is dead! you signed a fucking treaty. Done, gone
- >Friedrich seems almost fascinated by your outburst
- You're going to stroll into our Naval space, shanghai a group of US investigators, and think you can singlehandedly win over all political power just like that, with no army, no control, and all because of a some breakthrough experiment you've obviously failed to control?
- >Friedrich places his papers down, and winces humorously as he paces slowly over to your hold
- >He kneels down, his vicious eyes pierce yours
- >"...Ja"
- >Before you can even begin expelling your anger, two Nazi gunmen emerge from beyond your view and open fire on the bolts clasping the gate shut, a myriad of shells collect on the floor, the noise is deafening
- >The gate clangs loudly against the concrete, only adding to the noise
- >You're in disbelief that the lightening bolt striking you hours ago has still left you in this lethargic state, all the anger in the world couldn't shift you, as the two gunmen lift you from the ground and began dragging you haphazardly down the stairwell, you feel at this stage you are in no state to retaliate, and any attempts at reconciliation would be fruitless
- >Friedrich raises his voice as you're dragged out of the chamber "Treat her nicely, ja? Sie ist wunderbar!"
- >It was no use, with no armed weapon of any sort and given your sheer tiredness, you surrender to their brute force, you're still alive at this point, you conclude that you are indeed necessary for whatever their plans may be, and they do not plan on killing you
- >Your drowsiness seems to have gotten worse since you left the naval ship, and now under the complete whim of this Nazi organisation, it's proving more and more difficult to formulate any kind of escape route in your head
- >The factory is bolted down to the seems, soldiers man every doorway, courtyard and exit of this building. Endless questions fill your mind
- >Why would they choose such a desolate location to facilitate their plans?
- >What ultimate goal do they have for this experiment?
- >what does it entail?
- >The guards holstered you in cuffs for transport to this supposed laboratory, and at this point all you wanted to do was sit at your desk with all your work and put the pieces together
- >your work
- >they raided the ship
- >this organisation you know practically nothing about have access to your entire library of radiobiological schematics, drawings and knowledge
- >after dragging you through another doorway, they release their grip
- >you plummet to the floor, and with the guards gone, you actually feel more relaxed.
- >Unbelievably, you muster the energy to stand, and you question whether you're even in the same factory
- >A sterile, modern scientific study surrounds you, the purple hues emitting from the glass pane ceiling is warming.
- >Your attention is diverted as you hear light hoofsteps shuffling in front of you, and long hair catches your site
- >A delicate, feminine figure can be seen, her silky blonde waves flow gracefully behind her aggressive movements
- >This mare has without a doubt the brightest of white coats you have ever in your life witnessed
- >She seems to be fiddling with a big electrical device, as sparks of static clearly radiate from it
- >"Sie diode. Agh, schweinehund!"
- >You take this opportunity to approach her
- Excuse me, ma'm?
- >"Englische?"
- >"*Gasp!*"
- >"Aufgaben!!"
- >The mare shrieks, she turns around extremely fast, grabbing the device from behind her, preparing to fire.
- “Easy! Easy!”
- >Having you in her iron-sights strikes you with instant panic, you lift your forelegs and take a step back, praying that any sudden movements won’t aggravate her any further
- >Her bright blue Iris’ scan you up and down, the whole room is still
- >”More american pigs. I see enough of your kind”
- >”Like targets” she threatens, lining you up with her sights, as she does you notice a crucial mistake of hers, this mysterious weapon has a replicated stock from an old STG-44 rifle you encountered many months ago, and thus, you cannot help but roll your eyes
- >”Why do you smirk?” She asks
- “Well, those who play the intimidation game don’t usually carry around unloaded weapons to threaten with”
- >The mare stays still, she realises you were absolutely right, she had left the half finished magazine on the table, and was threatening you with an empty weapon
- >”Oh, so you notice unfinished project”
- >She fiddles with the sides of the chamber, and hiding her obvious blush, steps down from her hind stance, turning around to set it back on the table
- >She faces you with a frown
- >“Who sent you” Asks the mare
- >Her comment leaves you confused
- “What?”
- >“Who sent you!” She raises her voice at you.
- “How dare you! It’s your filthy krauts that sent me to you. I trust you didn’t hear me wincing in pain when your muscle slammed me to the ground”
- >The mare pauses
- >”Ogh, many ponies have come and gone from here, all I say is I’ve lost interest and no longer care at this point.”
- >Her careless attitude doesn’t help your current state
- “Oh shut up, all this needless suffering is futile”
- “Holding our troops down like animals, you can’t win, we flattened you, the Germans have lost.”
- >She relaxes a little, almost amusedly
- >”mhmm, lost ja? then who might I ask, is currently under Breslau captive state?”
- >She smiles
- >”Such patriotism, you’re scared, nein?” She says calmly
- “Damn right I’m scared, you should be ashamed.”
- >”Relax, your friends are fine. It’s you they want.”
- “Yeah I kinda figured that out on my own, thanks.” You reply
- >You take a few steps closer to her, and you are no longer on opposite sides of the room
- >Her obvious surprise to have you dropped into her lab like this sparks more questions in your mind.
- “Just tell me what you want from me already” You order.
- >“Ja, I remember now. You’re the one Friedrich sent to me, he demands that we cooperate”
- >She sighs
- >”Friedrich is stupid schwein, he lacks mental reasoning behind his actions. He does not communicate with his co-operatives.”
- >No longer feeling threatened by you, she turns her back to you and continues to speak as she resumes work on the strange contraption. “Filthy ScheißeKopf doesn’t tell me anything, I’m a work horse to him, all I do is what he tells me to. Since I have been put in charge of research, all he cares is that I do all the work he asks of me, other input is irrelevant, he wants my knowledge and nothing else, the same fate for you I think.”
- >She continues
- >“For the worthiest of causes, ja, for die fuhrer, but Friedrich, he lacks humility, communication, how a real leader should be.” She says, among the sounding of metal screws, and a final click as the last of her working diodes clicks into place
- “worthy cause? you make me sick”
- >She turns her head slightly
- >“…If it were my choice, I’d have cancelled whole captive operation. Friedrich won’t admit, but he adores your kind.”
- >”Now come here” The small mare drops her instruments and moves a small cloth off the operating table, revealing various apparatus, from what you can see lay varying sizes of injection needles, multiple containers of fluid, and a single knife.
- >She turns around with a needle in hand
- “get any closer to me with that and I swear to god I’ll knock your goddamn head off.”
- >You’re nearly shaking with adrenaline
- >In panic, you lurch forward
- >The mare turns, pointing the weapon once again, now buzzing very loudly, emitting small sparks of electricity that travel up toward the barrel, and with three functioning diodes sticking out of the side.
- >”ap ap ap ap…careful Mr American, wouldn’t want to do something you will regret now, nein?”
- “First tell me why”
- >You demand once more
- >“Why what?” She asks
- >She doesn’t move
- “Why should I help you?”
- >The blonde mare grabs her nose bridge and sighs deeply
- >”Let me ask you this, Mr expert Radiobiologist” She jests. “Since you have been in die factory, have you addressed the fact that, you are still breathing?”
- >Reality hits you like a brick wall, now you understand, the lethargy, exhaustion, the dizziness, fluctuating mood, they haven’t held you captive in a nearby facility, this IS the facility
- >”Sir, you have absorbed close to 12,000 röntgen of radioactive emmitanz. As we speak, you are deteriorating, the very cells holding your structure together are mutating beyond sustainable control. I give you a few days
- >She reaches for the injection needle
- >“By all means, try and escape. If exhaustion and dehydration don’t kill you, the acute radiation sickness eventually will.”
- >”Organisation wants all the information it can get from you before the sickness eventually kills you, I’m willing to administer you a permanent cure, the very same that I administer to everyone in the Factory”
- >”on the grounds that you’re willing to co-operate with me.”
- >She lifts the vial into the air, before inserting it into the applicator
- “Impossible”
- >“Beautiful isn’t it?” She says admirably
- “H…How?”
- >“With Die Fuhrer’s Wunder Initiative, anything is possible”
- >”I’m thinking we can both learn a lot from each other” She says invitingly
- >It’s either do or die for you, and on the kind offering of survival from this mare, you are willing to do anything that involves fulfilling your mission. You don’t know this mare, how this faction have developed such powers, and it is clear that this mare doesn’t know you, but one thing is for certain, you plan on staying alive
- >“Aryanne LichtenDittmar”
- >She kindly lifts out a hoof
- “Anonymous”
- >You respond, followed by a tight handshake
