  1. Directions on how to successfully remove pill bottle cache from the gas tank at Carhenge
  2.
  3. By AFCacher, 2012
  4.
  5. 1. Obtain a wire with the consistency and strength of “rebar” tie wire (about .075 inches in diameter).
  6.
  7. 2. Form a fish hook end on the wire.
  8.
  9. 3. With the fish hook “flat” against the gas pipe wall, slide it in past the top of the pill bottle white cap about an inch.
  10.
  11. 4. Turn the wire 90 degrees to move the “hook” tip toward the bottle.
  12.
  13. 5. Hook the fish hook tip into the cap edge and slowly begin pulling the bottle up to the first barrier.
  14.
  15. 6. Continue to pull hard and the bottle will slip past the internal first barrier which is the gas handle nozzle guide.
  16.
  17. 7. Realign the wire fish hook again if necessary and continue to pull the bottle up to the pipe end.
  18.
  19. 8. Ensure the wire is in one of two slots in the pipe end that are used to tighten the gas cap to the pipe.
  20.
  21. 9. Using your wire pulling the bottle up and using your fingers to align the cap into the final hole, work the cap through the
  22.
  23. hole and pull the bottle out of the gas pipe.
  24.
  25. 10. To replace, push the bottle back in past the 2 nd pipe obstruction as you found it.
  26.
  27. 11. it’s a tight fit but it’s not impossible and this lack of clearance makes it a great cache.
  28.
  29. Note: adding "sticky tack" to the end of the hook may assist in cache retrieval
