  8. Lord Windwhisper.
  9.
  10. Please forgive my delay in returning this text to you. In the interest
  11. of expedience, I will keep my commentary brief.
  12.
  13. I have found it necessary to make only the smallest corrections, as
  14. expected. While I find all of your work interesting, informative, and
  15. well-written, this piece was of particular interest to me, concerned
  16. as it is with a scion of the Shevat lineage. My own family history --
  17. outside of the public record of the Taint Wars and some documentation
  18. of residency in Clarramore Cloud Gardens -- remains something of a
  19. mystery to me, so I am beyond pleased that you have pieced together
  20. even this small part of it. It is a shame the historical records are
  21. so fragmented, as I would have eagerly devoured much more of this
  22. tale.
  23.
  24. My only suggestions are as follows:
  25.
  26. The races of Etuo and Haralo are not made explicitly clear, though
  27. given the demographics of our respective family, certain context clues
  28. within the narrative, and general naming conventions, I infer that
  29. Etuo was a lucidian, and Haralo a trill. If anything remains within
  30. the records you unearthed that further elaborates on their physical
  31. appearances, you might consider including these descriptions. It will
  32. give readers a clearer picture of these paragons, and allow them to
  33. relate more intimately with their stories.
  34.
  35. Likewise, any additional information regarding the machines Etuo
  36. constructed for the war effort would not be amiss! Perhaps it is
  37. merely because my personal interest in Hallifaxian technological
  38. prowess was piqued, but I found myself wanting to know just a little
  39. more about the nature of Etuo's contributions.
  40.
  41. Otherwise, I found the work engrossing and inspiring. I sincerely hope
  42. it account of camaraderie and innovation will impel our citizens
  43. towards greater civil service.
  44.
  45. May you be well, and your efforts ever fruitful.
  46.
  47. Ever yours in service,
  48. ~ Daraius Shevat

  52. The seal of Ambassador Daraius Shevat is stamped onto the page: In crisp block letters the initials
  53. D.S. stand in stark white contrast to a perfect circle of crimson ink. One razor-thin white ring
  54. traces a precise border just within the circle's outer edge.
