  1. Professor Koch not only is very rude, condescending, and conceited, but the big problem with him is he thinks his 1 credit course takes priority over other courses that have a much higher impact on your ability to graduate. The lab reports are unnecessarily long due to how much the lab procedures are more or less reading a storybook that occasionally will stay on topic and then rant about something that has little to no significance to the procedure. They're very poorly written and need revision (Not to mention RED CAPITAL LETTERS THAT ARE BOLD, UNDERLINED, AND HIGHLIGHTED ARE JUST AS OBNOXIOUS AS THIS PART OF MY REVIEW.)

  3. Next off, The course itself cost me $16. That's at least 1.5 Meals on campus. Meal pricing is a different issue though. My question is, where did this 16 dollars go to? Definitely not the lab equipment from 1960. In all of my labs, my work has been excessively extended due to the poor quality and maintenance of the material given to the students. Of the 500 students taking PHY132, half of them are taking 134 at least. Multiply approximately ~300 Students by 16. That's 4.8 Thousand dollars. A few hundred resistors costs less than 100, and the lab materials and costs from previous years could be accumulated over the years Stony Brook has been open for, as well as the costs of tuition could pay for some new equipment. This is probably in summation one of the worst "courses" I have ever taken, I did manage to learn one thing from Professor Koch's rude and excessive emails Spell checking is important to make yourself not look foolish and that no student at Stony Brook understands how weather works, and how to look up the current conditions and determine the severity from a weather map. I would love my 16 dollars back that had no contribution the the materials required for this lab.
