  1. The Whitemount Island was part of the list of boroughs that surround the west of San Andreas, at Whetstone. The northern two thirds of the island is covered mostly with the mountain ranges and plateaus with threes, while the other part is inhabitable. In the census of 2003, the Whitemount Island had a total population of 9,591 people. The island is named after the big rocky mount that was often promoted as a very nice sight-seeing spot for tourists. It is the highest point in the state of island. Immediately to the north of it is Whetsone itself, while just to the south, at the mountain's base, is the small, buoyant inhabitable place of the island. Races used to be held on mountain bikes during the daytime. These races started from the mountain's summit and ended at the mountain's base. It still offers spectacular views of the surroundings.

  3. The April 2007 Earthquake was a potent magnitude 7.4 Mw intraplate aftershock that occurred at 08:16 UTC on Monday, 7th of April 2007, in the southern region of the Whitemount Island. With a shallow focus of 11 mi, the earthquake was centred inland about 22 mi west of Angel Pine, causing widespread strong to locally severe shaking. It was one of many aftershocks to follow the 3rd of March "Tamouda" earthquake.

  5. In July 2010 after the violent earthquakes and a 131 feet tsunami, the governor Olave DeLacosta declared bankruptcy, stating that due to the aftermaths, the island had a total debt of $4.7 billion. The main cause of the bankruptcy was the loss of anual visitors to the island. As of the 2003 census, 3.4 million non-United States civillians visited the island through cruises or flights. Most people left the island by boat, yet they've not been seen since the departure. Governor-in-charge Barack Obama ceased funding of the island in early 2010, resulting in difficulties in operating a Police Department and basic Medical Services. Since 2011, the island is no longer under the United States' control.
