  1. Crescent Isle Expedition - They had plans to proceed to an island roughly 130 miles off the northeast coast of Ashenia. Roughly the size of a small country itself, the so-called Crescent Isle has been unreachable due to the area's infamous stormy weather - probably influenced by the area's unusually tropical clime despite being so far in the chilly north. Hurricanes, earthquakes, seaquakes, storms and other phenomenon have kept this place away from the public for a couple hundred years now - but the weather seems to be taking a break. Is there some unknown cause of these freakish storms? What about the reports of pirates being seen sailing the seas? A three day voyage to the island would be a trip into the unknown... On most maps, this place has the infamous 'Here be dragons' drawing.
  2.
  3. Pros: Untamed wilds, undiscovered riches, terrible beasts, unknown cultures? ADVENTURE.
  4. Cons: Not on the way to PC plot hooks, pirates
  5.
  6. The Stovetop Range - Around two hundred miles west, give or take, on the western border of the coastal state Ora Anguis, is the Stovetop, a mountain range most famous for hosting an active volcano called Moradin's Forge that supplies much of the soot that gives the Barrens of Greylight their name. Apparently the expedition here caught wind of structures from Lost Avalonia and wanted to check them out. Maybe even check out Moradin's Forge itself - there seem to be rumors flying around that the Church of Ioun hunted something there once years ago, and that they possibly found the original seat of Lorelai, the Maiden Empress of Avalonia.
  7.
  8. Pros: Avalonian finds are valuable, nearby a Lycoris plothook
  9. Cons: Furthest away, probably more lore dumps
  10.
  11. The Serpent's Vale - An expedition meant for a dangerous part of Ora Anguis, much closer to the eastern border. This one's only around a fifty-six mile journey west and would bring the group to the Serpent's Vale, an area infamously inhabited by dangerous monsters and the rare folk who can live among them in peace. Everything from harpies to medusas to hydras apparently wander these lands, and even the seas nearby the coast are said to be host to whirlpools and serpentine monsters that gave Ora Anguis its name - the 'Snake Coast' in Drangleic. Supposedly the ruins here predate the Baphomet worshipping era of minotaur-kind, though there are still traces of their passage around too.
  12.
  13. Pros: A little bit of everything, loot, danger, close to a Frey plot hook.
  14. Cons: Likely to attract the most attention from local adventurers
