How to host Trivia official

Scripted trivia games occur every four hours. If you're unsure about when the next one is you can usually pm Codex Necro or Jeopard-E (depending on which is active) the command ~next.

When hosting official you'll need to take the bp so the bot doesn't open it during the game. Simply bp yourself using ~bp user and proceed with signups.

There are 3 modes and 6 different options for categories when hosting.
Modes
-First: Usually done for random scripted game
-Number: Rarely done for random scripted or actual officials
-Timer: The mode most often used for officials.

Cats
-Arts and Entertainment (Ae)
-Pokemon
-Science and Geography (Sg)
-Society and Humanities (Sh)
-Random: This will pick one of the above categories and do a mono official for it, so it is seldom used.
-All: Uses questions from all the categories and is used the most often for officials.

Lengths
Long: Used for normal random officials
Medium: Used for mono officials
Short: Used for first mode and random scripted games usually.

To start signups after bping yourself simply enter the command /trivia new timer, all, long
this will vary if you're hosting a mono official. If you do decide to host a mono official keep in mind that mono officials are only medium length so you would need to do /trivia new timer, ae, medium in that format.
If doing a different mono cat simply switch ae for the other category selected.

Next bold the hl word triviasignups and a starting time.
Usually 4-5 minutes is given between signups and start.

When you're read to start simply bold triviastart and a brief message about not leaking and using /ta to answer.
Then input the command /trivia start and the game should begin in 30 seconds.

Once official is over ask the person you took bp from if they want it back, if not then simply open.
Finally record the winner of the official in the smogon thread.
