[22:53]	Feierzeit	Spencer is asleep. He mutters a little in jumbled latin and russian.

[22:54]	Feierzeit	Spencer's eyes jolt open. He strains his eyes to see anything in the darkness.

[22:55]	Salmander	He can hear bells
[22:55]	Feierzeit	"...the fuck..." Spencer gropes for the lightswitch and flips it on.

[22:55]	Salmander	Spencer feels an innate fear
[22:55]	Feierzeit	He pulls his feet up onto the bed and curls up in his blanket.

[22:56]	Salmander	He hears the sound of rolling
[22:57]	Feierzeit	He swallows, then gets up off the bed. He slowly walks over to the door.
[22:58]	Salmander	Spencer is hit in the chest by something and flies back onto the bed
[22:58]	Feierzeit	"Oof!"
[22:58]	Salmander	The rolling noise stops
[22:58]	Feierzeit	He looks up and tries to see what it is.
[22:58]	Salmander	It's a translucent beer bottle, turned sideways. The door seems undamaged and unopened
[22:59]	Feierzeit	"...fuck, I must be dreaming."
[22:59]	Salmander	At the mouth of the bottle is a chain that goes through the door
[22:59]	Feierzeit	Spencer looks at the chain and visually follows it out the door.
[23:00]	Salmander	The door's still closed. It goes through the door it seems.
[23:00]	Feierzeit	He pulls out his radio. <<...all right, who's messing with the beer bottle. That's not fucking funny.>>

[23:00]	Feierzeit	Spencer frowns, then pulls out his revolver.
[23:01]	Salmander	The chain begins to slacken as whatever is on the other end draws nearer
[23:01]	Feierzeit	Can he hear anything from outside the door?

[23:02]	Salmander	And then in floats in a green ghost
[23:02]	Feierzeit	"...the fuck?"
[23:02]	Salmander	He has a bulbous nose and a large beer belly, and is dressed in a t-shirt and jeans
[23:02]	Salmander	Spencer recognizes him!

[23:03]	Salmander	It's former drinking partner and rich comrade Bill Parkinson, his old pal until he died after drinking seven bottles then crashing into a semi.

[23:07]	Salmander	Bill floats up again, then he suddenly shifts his eyes to look down at Spencer. The look is chilling.

[23:14]	Feierzeit	"...I don't remember this."

[23:18]	Salmander	It opens to the main bar. Sitting there are a few patrons, two passed out. Spencer immediately notices a scruffy beard and red nose among the faces.

[23:19]	Salmander	The brain floats by Spencer's dad, coming to a stop next to his father's head and tilting slightly.
[23:20]	Feierzeit	"That would be my dad..." Spencer chuckles. "I miss him a bit, even if he was a dumb shit." Spencer's normally suppressed Utah accent shows through a bit.
[23:20]	Salmander	~Ah, you did enjoy times with your dad. Of course, there were also moments like today. December 26th, 1984.~
[23:21]	Salmander	His father slams down the scotch, extremely drunk.
[23:22]	Feierzeit	"I never understood why he came out to pubs like this. It's not like he couldn't get hammered somewhere less... dank."

[23:23]	Salmander	His dad gets up from the bar and heads out of the bar.

[23:24]	Salmander	The dad gets in the car, eating some peanuts in the glove compartment. Brain bumps Spencer through the back door and into the back seat.
[23:25]	Feierzeit	"Heh. If I didn't know better, I'd say he gets himself killed here..." Spencer frowns.
[23:26]	Salmander	The car takes off and, though swerving a little, manages to stay on the right path and whistles some Beatles as he drives.
[23:26]	Feierzeit	Spencer whistles along.
[23:26]	Salmander	He suddenly stops whistling. "Shit, forgot to pick up Spenny."
[23:27]	Salmander	He turns the wheel into a u-turn and heads back towards a set of houses not too far away
[23:27]	Feierzeit	Spencer grips the car as it u-turns.

[23:28]	Salmander	His dad puts a few breath mints in his mouth then comes to a stop in front of a house, honking the horn
[23:28]	Salmander	Soon, Spencer sees his 14 year-old self, little mullet and all, run out of the door and to the car

[23:31]	Salmander	"He beat me at Tetris." Younger Spencer frowns.
[23:31]	Feierzeit	"Huh... when did I stop playing Tetris?" Spencer thinks, but can't remember.
[23:32]	Salmander	"That's a sha-" The father is cut off as a semi crashes into the left side of the car.
[23:32]	Feierzeit	"Oof!" Spencer is glad he wore his seat belt.
[23:32]	Salmander	It's sent flying off and sideways onto the intersection.
[23:33]	Salmander	It rolls a few times, the G-forces making Spencer sick

[23:35]	Salmander	He opens the door right into a hospital room, seeing from out of a cupboard
[23:35]	Salmander	the brain floats out from behind him and hangs next to a doctor and a woman as they speak

[23:36]	Salmander	~Well c'mon, ya gotta listen.~
[23:36]	Feierzeit	Spencer walks out of the cupboard and listens in.
[23:37]	Salmander	He recognizes the woman as his mother
[23:37]	Salmander	The doctor rubs his glasses with his labcoat then replaces them on his face
[23:37]	Feierzeit	He sighs a bit.
[23:37]	Salmander	"He's incurred major injuries to the spine."
[23:37]	Salmander	"We couldn't fix it."
[23:37]	Salmander	"And?" asks his mother.
[23:38]	Salmander	"At best he'll be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life."
[23:38]	Salmander	His mother bursts out crying
[23:39]	Salmander	The brain returns to float next to Spencer. ~This would also, fo course, greatly reduce his life span, causing him to die in five years.~

[23:40]	Salmander	And then Spencer's in a funeral home
[23:40]	Feierzeit	"Aw, geez..."
[23:40]	Salmander	There's a casket up ahead. He can see the back of his own head looking down at it
[23:41]	Feierzeit	Spencer covers his eyes, leaving a bit to look through. He's tearing up a bit.
[23:41]	Salmander	His mother comes to pat his 19 year old self on the back, only to be pushed away by younger Spencer
[23:41]	Salmander	Without saying a word, 19 year old Spencer storms out of the home
[23:42]	Feierzeit	present-day Spencer gets up and follows.
[23:43]	Salmander	His younger self begins walking, then striding, then running down the sidewalk
[23:43]	Feierzeit	Spencer does his best to keep up.
[23:44]	Salmander	His younger self finally comes to a stop and collapses onto the sidewalk, crying into his hands
[23:45]	Salmander	He spouts incomprehensible gibberish about his father as he cries, but Spencer can understand every word
[23:45]	Feierzeit	Spencer just stands there.
[23:46]	Salmander	The brain floats around Spencer. ~How do you feel?~
[23:46]	Feierzeit	"...sad, I suppose." He wipes a tear from his eye. "I remember this all too well..." He pauses. "God, my German was terrible back then."
[23:47]	Salmander	~Let's fast forward to that evening.~ The world suddenly spins around Spencer and he's back in Mclarrens.
[23:47]	Salmander	He sees himself at the bar, pounding back scotch.
[23:48]	Feierzeit	"...wow. I was a bit of a dumb shit, wasn't I?" He pauses. "Why did they even serve me?"
[23:49]	Salmander	Next to him is Bill, patting his back. ~Mclarren thought it was the least he could do. Your father was a frequent customer.~
[23:49]	Feierzeit	"Makes sense, in a weird way..."
[23:49]	Salmander	~Wasn't exactly the most ethical bartender.~
[23:50]	Feierzeit	"He really wasn't. Terrible at poker, too."
[23:50]	Salmander	Bill leans in to younger Spencer. "Your old man was a great guy."
[23:51]	Salmander	Younger Spencer doesn't look at Bill, instead looking off at the wall as he talks, slurring his speech. "Man, fuck him."
[23:51]	Salmander	Bill seems taken aback. "What?"
[23:52]	Feierzeit	Spencer watches with interest. "I never did remember that night..."
[23:52]	Salmander	"All he ever gave me was this fucking scar from the accident." Spencer points to some stitches on his forehead
[23:53]	Salmander	Bill frowns. "What about that new car?"
[23:53]	Salmander	"Oh ya, thanks for the fucking buggy that breaks down every fucking block." Spencer rolls his eyes and slams down the shot.
[23:54]	Feierzeit	Spencer frowns a bit. "I was kind of an ungrateful prick, wasn't I..."
[23:55]	Salmander	~Yep, yoyr father also left you another important lesson: Go to the bar when you're troubled.~ The brain floats next to Spencer.

[23:56]	Feierzeit	Spencer nods. "Very well."
[23:57]	Salmander	~Oh, hmm, just one thing more.~ The brain comes up to look at Spencer face-to-lobe

[00:07]	Feierzeit	While he's at it, he combs his hair and brushes his teeth.
[00:09]	Feierzeit	When he's done, he sits on the bed again.
[00:10]	Salmander	The door obtains a golden glow around its frame
[00:11]	Feierzeit	Spencer shrugs, and walks up to it. He tries the door again.

[00:12]	Feierzeit	Spencer blinks and tries to see where the hooting is coming from.
[00:13]	Salmander	It's a luxurious room with a hearth, a polished table and chairs, and a gigantic pile of birdseed. Sitting atop it is White Face the owl, but his mask is blue. The blue aura emanating from him creates that of a fat owl seated atop the pile.

[00:14]	Feierzeit	"I suppose you're the 'White Face' I've heard about. Glad to meet you in the, er, flesh."
[00:14]	Salmander	~Blue face, I prefer. Come in.~
[00:14]	Feierzeit	Spencer walks in and sits at a chair. "Ghost of... Boxing Day Present, I suppose."
[00:15]	Salmander	~Yes, yes.~ The door shuts behind him.
[00:15]	Salmander	~Now, if you'd look at the floor, we can get underway.~
[00:15]	Feierzeit	Spencer looks at the floor.
[00:16]	Salmander	The hardwood begins to fade away and is replaced by the image of the site below.

[00:17]	Salmander	It's daytime. The view slowly moves down to an office window.
[00:17]	Salmander	~This is tomorrow morning.~

[00:18]	Salmander	It's a psychiatrist's office. Spencer can see the back of a man's head.

[00:19]	Salmander	The psychiatrist looks up as the door opens

[00:20]	Feierzeit	Spencer leans forward a bit.
[00:20]	Salmander	She sits down on the couch and begins talking
[00:20]	Salmander	He can't tell what they're saying
[00:20]	Salmander	~Let us move forward just a bit.~
[00:21]	Salmander	Their movements speed up, then it suddenly returns to normal speed as the psychiatrist sits in a chair next to the couch where Rosalind is propped up
[00:21]	Feierzeit	"This feels... wrong. I don't think I should be listening in on her private session."
[00:21]	Salmander	She's crying
[00:21]	Salmander	The psychiatrist reaches forward a hand and places it on rosalind's thigh
[00:22]	Feierzeit	Spencer gets sad. Tears well up in his eyes.
[00:22]	Salmander	She does not seem to notice
[00:22]	Salmander	The hardwood fades back in again
[00:22]	Feierzeit	"Hm... I can't say I'm surprised."
[00:23]	Feierzeit	He sighs. "I screwed up...damn."
[00:23]	Salmander	~Who is to say what will and what will not transpire. This is only what will happen if things continue along their course.~
[00:24]	Feierzeit	"..." He swallows. "I feel like I should make sure that doesn't happen... but maybe it's best that she lets it out."
[00:24]	Salmander	The image fades back in to a birds eye view of a living room.
[00:25]	Feierzeit	Does Spencer recognize it?
[00:25]	Salmander	No, but he does recognize the people inside
[00:25]	Salmander	It's his cousins, Barry and Hank, eating peanuts and talking
[00:26]	Salmander	He can hear them this time
[00:26]	Feierzeit	Spencer smiles.
[00:26]	Salmander	"So you sent out Christmas cards to everyone in the family."
[00:27]	Salmander	"Yeah. Well except for Spencer."
[00:27]	Salmander	"Yeah, well..." Barry looks off at the wall.
[00:27]	Feierzeit	Spencer frowns. "Well what..."
[00:27]	Salmander	"I mean, dude was fun as shit."
[00:28]	Salmander	"Yeah, but then his dad died, and, y'know..." Barry mimes knocking back a beer.
[00:29]	Salmander	"Well maybe he's recovered."
[00:29]	Salmander	"I mean, I'd send him something if, I dunno, he just called every once in a while."
[00:30]	Feierzeit	"I *would* call, but that's not allowed." Spencer mumbles.
[00:30]	Salmander	"He's not calling because he's drunk off his ass, Hank. I dunno where he is now, but he's probably drunk."
[00:30]	Salmander	Hank sighs. "God, I miss that guy."
[00:30]	Salmander	The hardwood fades back in

[00:31]	Feierzeit	Spencer sighs. "I wish I could tell them...oh well." He looks up at Blue Face.
[00:32]	Salmander	~There is always a way...~ the bird seed begins to rise in the air
[00:32]	Feierzeit	"I probably should have at least called before I, you know, stopped officially existing."
[00:32]	Salmander	It begins flying through the air
[00:33]	Feierzeit	Spencer watches the bird seed.
[00:33]	Salmander	~The past can never be changed, but the future is always open to those who think they can move it.~
[00:33]	Salmander	The seed engulfs Blue Face
[00:33]	Salmander	Then Spencer
[00:33]	Salmander	Then it dissipates and he's back in his room

[00:35]	Feierzeit	Spencer grabs his jacket, then sits down on the bed. "If I remember correctly, this part gets cold."

[00:37]	Salmander	Light shines in through the window, and a long shadow extends from his body
[00:37]	Salmander	Yet, it's not his shadow
[00:37]	Salmander	And it's getting shorter even as he looks
[00:37]	Feierzeit	Spencer turns to look at the window.

[00:38]	Salmander	The shadow becomes shorter
[00:38]	Salmander	It's turned sideways
[00:38]	Salmander	It's furry, and has a bulging nose
[00:38]	Feierzeit	Spencer looks at where it looks like the shadow should be coming from.

[00:39]	Feierzeit	He looks at his feet, then.
[00:39]	Salmander	It reaches forward a finger and points to the door
[00:39]	Salmander	His feet are his feet
[00:39]	Feierzeit	He looks up at the door.

[00:39]	Feierzeit	He stands up, goes to it, and opens it the rest of the way.
[00:40]	Salmander	It's another funeral home
[00:40]	Salmander	There are a few people milling about
[00:40]	Salmander	Two police officers catch Spencer's attention
[00:40]	Feierzeit	"My funeral, I imagine..." He looks at the officers.
[00:41]	Salmander	They are talking to one another while they eat donuts
[00:41]	Salmander	"Such a shame, Frank."
[00:41]	Feierzeit	He walks over and listens to them.
[00:41]	Salmander	"Yep, another one lost to the bottle."
[00:41]	Feierzeit	The color drains out of Spencer's face.
[00:42]	Salmander	"Man, people like that..." The officer shakes his head and tuts.
[00:42]	Feierzeit	Spencer looks around at the various people gathered. Does he recognize any of them?
[00:43]	Salmander	He recognizes a certain psychiatrist, which is heading into another room. The shadow points at the psychiatrist.
[00:43]	Feierzeit	Spencer follows the psychiatrist.
[00:44]	Salmander	The door closes but Spencer walks right through it. There's another man in a suit , walking back and forth.
[00:44]	Salmander	"H-how's the prosecution going?" asks the psychiatrist, wiping away a tear.
[00:45]	Salmander	"We have enough evidence to convict." Replies the attorney, strutting back and forth
[00:45]	Feierzeit	Spencer frowns. "Did I seriously..."
[00:46]	Salmander	"Well he deserves it," says the psychiatrist.
[00:46]	Salmander	"Homicide is a very serious legal manner. We'll be in court in two days. Let me give you the time."
[00:47]	Salmander	The shadow leaps up Spencer's leg and covers his face, shrouding the world in black.
[00:47]	Feierzeit	"What? No!" Spencer claws futilely at his face, trying to get the dark off.
[00:47]	Salmander	Then it removes itself. He's in the attorney's office.
[00:47]	Salmander	The attorney and a legal aide are speaking
[00:48]	Feierzeit	Spencer listens intently.
[00:48]	Salmander	"Ok, I think I got this."
[00:48]	Salmander	"Let's hear it."

He has a tough day, comes home, drinks a bunch, then decides to call his ex. he hears a male voice pick up, and flies into a fit of rage. He gets out a bat, drives to their house, and smashes her face in before being taken down by the new guy."
[00:49]	Salmander	"Horrible stuff," says the aide.
[00:50]	Salmander	The shadow creeps up and points to the door of the office.
[00:50]	Feierzeit	Spencer goes to the door and opens it.
[00:50]	Salmander	It moves forward and points down a short hallway leading outside.
[00:51]	Feierzeit	He walks down it.
[00:51]	Feierzeit	"I can't believe I..."
[00:51]	Salmander	Once their outside, it points to the church across the street
[00:51]	Feierzeit	Spencer runs down to the church and goes inside.
[00:52]	Salmander	Before he enters it switches directions and points to the graveyard beside the church
[00:52]	Feierzeit	He goes to the graveyard then. "I think I know this part..."
[00:52]	Salmander	It points to a grave
[00:52]	Feierzeit	He reads it, already expecting to know what it says.

[00:54]	Feierzeit	Spencer is just barely holding back tears. He reaches forward and brushes off the lower part.
[00:54]	Salmander	Before he can the ground opens up beneath him
[00:55]	Salmander	He falls down and down
[00:55]	Salmander	Into Rosalind's open grave
[00:55]	Salmander	And there she is, young as he knew her, crying
[00:56]	Salmander	She looks up to see Spencer
[00:56]	Salmander	"Why, Spencer, why?"
[00:57]	Feierzeit	Spencer is now bawling too. "Rose, I- I-" He can't choke out anything more.
[00:57]	Salmander	She gets a look of intense anger
[00:57]	Salmander	Her fingers and arms grow long
[00:57]	Salmander	Her face contorts in terrible rage
[00:57]	Feierzeit	He looks up through the tears and his eyes grow wide.
[00:58]	Salmander	The fingers wrap around Spencer's neck
[00:58]	Feierzeit	"N-no-"
[00:58]	Salmander	He can't breath
[00:58]	Salmander	Spencer wakes up
[00:58]	Salmander	His neck is wrapped up in the blankets
[00:58]	Feierzeit	Spencer sobs on his bed. "N-no, I didn't-I don't-"
[00:59]	Feierzeit	He pulls himself out of the blankets and goes into a fetal position on the floor. He continues to sob.
