  1. So many young girls in front of her, it brought her pride to see so many women willing to do what it took to do right. Still, none of them were technically woman yet, and two of them were tiny delicate things. That was going to change starting now, they were going to push themselves to the limit if she had anything to say about it. Hard work was the lesson she would instill in all of Danarium, a lesson that might be her last should she fail in the assault against lionhold.
  2.
  3. "Alright everyone, we aren't going to waste anytime. I don't know what you all specialize in, but since two of you all aren't magi, we will have to do this lesson differently. Before we start, I want all of you to tell me what you want the most, out of anything in the world. Learning about each other will help bonds grow, and those bonds will tighten to form something so powerful, no force can stop it. I want you all to at least try to get to know not just each other, but *everyone* around the city, try to befriend them, make them want to believe in you."
  4.
  5. "There is nothing wrong with help, even the strongest person needs help sometimes...well, unless you're as strong as I am."
  6. (Rynoa Warsong)
  7.
  8. Jeanne would follow quite closely but break off from her mother once at the training field as they arrived, she would probably want that and she would just feel the gaze of mother's fiery eye and it made her skin crawl when she gazed over her. She would stand at attention like mommy wants her to, she made her do it hours on end one time just so she wouldn't forget.
  9.
  10. What did Jeanne want? With her thinking she would look at Juliette and then to the rest of the group, even at some mundanes walking on their own tasks. She would take a deep breath. "I want to serve my town and family protecting them from harm." You would think that Jeanne would perhaps rather be a worshiper of Flud, but protection can only do so much. Selfless action is what bring victory in the end.
  11.
  12. But it seems that after the sharing would come the hard part that made her knees wobble just listening to it. Know everyone in the city? Jeanne was naturally introverted and shy and such a concept seemed terrify. Even more so than facing monsters like the ones daddy tells in his stories. But she would simply gulp and stand, trying to hide her fear.
  13.
  14. (Jeanne Warsong)
  15.
  16. Aurora followed along just because she wanted something else to do other than study. It was getting to her, all of it... But, she was determined to do what was asked of her, so she would. Standing beside her cousin, Aurora listened to the others speak.
  17.
  18. "Ahh... Well, explore my familial rootss, I guess? I already volunteer most of my time helping the poor and homeless of Danarium, so." Indeed! On the walk over here the others may have noticed the friendly waves given by random passerbys.
  19.
  20. "What I want right now is to find out where my brother has gone to. And get him to come home to me." Sadness filled her voice, though it went away quickly.
  21. (Aurora Rosengard)
  22.
  23. She stood between the daughter of the councillor, and her own cousin. She would stand before the councillor and demonstrate something, the ground under the girl would shift, sidle and pull up, welling over her form into a thin layer of stone-flesh, with breaks in the protection for her joints, eyes, airway, and even ears. "I will just cut to the chase, there's more than just combat I want to learn and experience, miss Rynoa. I.. wrote Mr. Sacra up north, seeking a holy tutor, if nothing else, to get me started on the basics, I want to live up to my grandma's legacy, I promised my grand aunt I would! I'm not going to break my promise to her, she's been through too much to deserve another lie, even if not intended." tutilage was important for the girl, and she demonstrated, she was no stranger to magic, demonstrating a rather advanced understanding of earth, even if there were clear impotencies within her technique in such.
  24.
  25. The blue-hazel hues of the child of Astrea, grand daughter of Demeter, looked to the councilwoman with the same stern demeanor that they left the front of the tower. Daphne, here? Here she was asking, but also quite demanding, even if she wasn't really much capable of push for the demand to be met. She had her own fair share of waves as she went by, one of which including her dearest daddy, perhaps getting a small blush from the soldier to be as she sheepishly would have returned that wave.
  26.
  27. Here she was trying to be a big girl and make a mature decision for herself, not that her father knew that, and he was embarassing her! Either way, Daphne was infront of Rynoa now, and she'd been quite bold, spunky even, something that showwed she wasn't afraid of her, despite being quite nervous when confronting Kyrre only about two years ago to this day."I am ready to start whenever be it here or later, Miss Rynoa." Wow, perhaps there was a cocky confidence within the girl?
  28. (Daphne Rosengard)
  29.
  30. "Well, all of you have good aspirations, and I know that Aedan being gone is hurting you a lot. Whatever has happened, it will be settled as soon as possible. For now, what we need to do is figure out a way to try and focus your minds on projecting whatever power you use forward."
  31.
  32. She looks at her children and smiles delicately, trying to be welcoming even though this wasn't going to be easy. "Alright, you two are a bit older, so you probably have a decent grasp on how mana works, the younger children aren't actually magi, but they can use....umm, *Sacred power?* Something like that, I won't pretend to be able to understand how and what it is, but one thing that is for sure is that projection of energy should be relatively the same for most spells yes?"
  33.
  34. "You two managed to produce magic before, it's hard, but I know that you are capable of doing it again. So please, try for mommy, I want to see just how much you can push yourselves so I can get a decent guage on what exactly we need to do."
  35.
  36. "Don't be shy, just try to have fun and don't worry about messing up."
  37.
  38. The last comment was nearly a lie, and her children would know that....messing up wasn't going to happen.
  39.

  42.
  43. Jeanne would stand there as her mother would make it clear what she wanted them to do, but the way she was presenting it was weird. she was giving praise before any results. It honestly threw her for a loop and a little off guard. But her task was to produce magics, sorta like what she did with daddy when training with the orbs.
  44.
  45. She was nervous but the words of encouragement. "try for mommy" would lift her spirits to at least give it her best in her attempts. Placing her hands out in front of her. Being half Urayan allowed her to manifest more of her mother's side with a tiny pool of holy magics which she would start to produce in front of her. A pale light would grow in front of her, a shield for herself.
  46.
  47. Though it wasn't as impressive as her one perhaps shown to daddy during his training she would hope that hers was swept under the rug by the other two's performance and her was dismissed for being "non magi"
  48. (Jeanne Warsong)
  49.
  50. Daphne had been... ignored? No, she hadn't she quirked her brow, piecing together what exactly Rynoa meant, she wanted her to try the little bit of book smarts on holy magic she had? Hope? Protecting, etcetera. What little good that'd do, without the notions being presentable and judicious for the girl. But a darker thought came to mind, her cousin, how she hoped for his well being, how she wished to go be by his side and champion for him, if he were in danger. It was there she herself realized something, she did have those feelings, judiciously available, with no recourse for thinking of them. However, the guilt that came with the possibility of failing, how she'd feel ill if her cousin were gone for good, dead like auntie Giselle, like Grandma.
  51.
  52. A deep breath came from the young Rosengard, as she stood there, closing her eyes. The vehemant hope, against even the deepest fear, Daphne was to be of an internal struggle, pushing against the worst of it as she took deep breaths.
  53.
  54. Huff and puff, rough and tough, the younger of the two Rosengards prepared for the biggest most difficult portion of the task at hand, her first time calling forth the light. Something she wanted, so soon, but perhaps didn't expect for today to be the day. Small distractions along the way her mind was gearing itself, her shoulders felt lighter as the shell she brought forth fell away.
  55.
  56. There was a task ahead, soft and dampenned breathing, focus so intense that sometimes the breaths were deep, others shallow, no uniformity as she only put her attention on envisioning her cousin, to keep him safe, really to keep all of her family safe, a lofty goal, to keep the republic safe. The future was bright, so she hoped, she was to seek out being a shield, that was her ambitious goal. Milya hummed at her neck with a soft holy hue, as the energies flowwed, symbolic mana for the first time, geared towards the light.
  57.
  58. Up until now? Daphne's magic had been mostly cognative usage, with little focus on the feelings beneath it all, but today? Today she felt them, hope, the desire to protect. It felt good.. it felt. . . right. Her eyes openned as she looked, it was thin, pale, and perhaps didn't reach far beyond her frame, but there was a certain glow to her form, as light danced, dispelling shadows and creating others. "Is... is this it?"
  59. (Daphne Rosengard)
